Claustrophobia (AKA, The Sewer) is a converted Half-Life 2 mod made by me. This campaign features seven maps starting from a dank, dark sewer, leading all the way up to a Canyon, also features various puzzles and several optional paths to explore for goodies. Have Fun !

Pros:
Not much
Cons:
Poor AI means that its hard to get through in single player. On the first map, Francis refused to move into the safe room until I threw a molotov at him. Plenty of parts with empty textures, not missing, simply not there. Dull and repetitive. Impossible to know where you are meant to go sometimes. I spent about 20 mins on level 2 trying to find some way to mve on, to no avail. There simply isn't enough telling where you need to go.
Conclusion:
Needs A LOT of work.
Pros:
7 long maps of awesomeness Very unique and challenging maps Great replay ability, I played twice back to back Finale is refreshing and unique, didn't feel rushed Able to solo on advanced with bots pretty much Puzzles make sense when you figure them out Plenty of supplies to be found A great campaign not to rush through but enjoy
Cons:
Bots get stuck in map 4 or 5 but can work around If you die in map 4 or 5? you end up in safe room bloodied Waited too long to download from my watch list, should have sooner
Conclusion:
Wow! What a long and awesome campaign. I prefer to play solo with the bots, as I have no one I know to play private matches with. I started out on advanced, and got almost all the way through it before voting back to normal on some tough parts. I put this on my watch list a while back, but never got around to downloading it, that was a big mistake, as this is a fantastic campaign. There is a spot in map 4 or 5, (the one before the subway tunnels) where when you go down a hallway the bots will get stuck, both going in, and coming out. They usually catch up with you going in after a bit, but when coming out, if you're not paying attention and you get caught by a special you're toast. If you're paying attention and notice this, you can get behind them and kind of bully them out, or, if it's clear of specials, you can run across the room and they will eventually pop over to you. Now, in this same map, if you get caught, and die, you will show up at the end of the map's safe room, and you are all just barely hanging in there health wise, to begin the subway tunnels level. This is the only map this happened to me on, but it happened twice. I loved the finale. It was a nice change of pace where you are in panic mode the whole time, and can't even really stop to heal or plan a strategy. The panic events were timed well, and it actually flowed well with the rest of the campaign. It was tough enough, but enjoyable as well. This campaign is going in my all time favorites.
Pros:
* Good overall visuals and use of fog. * Long. * Non-linear gameplay with loads of puzzles. * Challenging. * Scripted events such as the mini train cart and the flooded room being drained.
Cons:
/ Absolutely ridiculously challenging finale. / Slow and pointless elevator at the finale. / Sewer pipe at the beginning of the last map moves you away at ridiculous speeds, seperating you from the others. / Last map lacks a 3D skybox. / Awfully loud gate opening sound in multiple maps. / Cheesy loading poster.
Conclusion:
A great campaign with lots of long and challenging gameplay. There's not a lot of flaws in the first few maps but the last map / finale really needs work in my opinion. The scavenge part is so challenging it's stupid, and it really ruins what could've been a great finish for a great campaign. 16 gas cans scattered over a large underground area where navigating is extremely difficult? Together with large swamp-like areas that slow you down? And multiple tanks spawning at the same time as hordes? Way too much. However, it generally is a great campaign that deserves to be played. The final rating ends up on a 8.5/10.
Pros:
- Nice unique ideas and surprises - Challenging puzzles necessary for level progression (for those who like them) - Each map is in a completely different area - Challenging events - Lots of ammo, kits, grenades, guns...
Cons:
- Too. Damn. Long. It was tedious and started to really annoy us. - Maps are unnecessarily long and complex. - TOO many kits and grenades - Do NOT play with AIs -- don't even bother, they will get killed non stop. - Some areas not well marked out (ie a couple instant death areas that looked like it was the way to go). - Some steam blockades caused instant death. - Textures were dull and repetitive; felt stale after the first couple maps. - Logistics: I don't care how strong an air vent fan is, it cannot push four people down and around corners in 60 ft or so of piping. - Textures: some textures and elements seemed very out of place, inconsistent. It reminded us we were playing a mod and not official valve content.
Conclusion:
Overall, the unique aspects made this entertaining (especially the moving cart, it was hilarious to watch the zombies and even a witch get bulldozed and instantly killed on impact). I like puzzles to some extent, however the puzzles and map lengths were unnecessarily long and arduous, it took away from being able to enjoy the game. Would work better in a horror-based survival game as opposed to a FPS.
Pros:
- I like the Puzzles (as I enjoy Puzzles) finding the keys and such. - Enjoyed some chapters of the map - Kits - Pretty well map designed - Nice garage surprise idea - Half-life
Cons:
- Finale (It's like every 10 secs, Specials and Horde comes + why is the cans so far away from the car?) - Reaching the actual task to start the Finale took quite long, would be better if it was shorter. - Who makes a room with 999999+ guns and etc to cause the game to crash every time? What IS the point of that? - Lack of Instructions - Too much Kits but not enough ammo pile - The part where you ride along the railway: it gets stuck if the zombies are on the way, would've been better if it could run them over (I found it stupid that it could run over the witch yet not the zombies, how does that even work? Seriously.) - Specials get stuck at some parts (Can't really remember what Chapter)
Conclusion:
Most annoying finale EVER played however, I did enjoy the Chapters before the finale and it was quite of a challenge to play this Campaign.
