  • Pros:

    - Faithful reproduction of dialogue/level design with a ton of new and exciting twists!

    - Enemy fire (a bit tough with all the damage they deal, but a fun concept/challenge nonetheless!)

    - Bombing runs

    - Exploding cars!

    - Freaking BEAUTIFUL weather (the lightning in level 2 is fantastic)

    Cons:

    - Whenever I pass by a flaming barrel at a couple of spots, it's a 50/50 chance that one of the bots will get stuck right next to it, leading that bot to die. To make matters worse, the other bots stay behind and give up their secondary health (pills/shots).

    - The intro on the second level (this gets annoying after dying 5 times in a row)

    - The 2 ammo caches in the finale make things difficult. When I try to start the generator the third time, the bots will almost always move toward the ammo cache up above the storage room in the garage. While they're reloading up there, the hordes and multiple special infected have a free shot at me. Being defenseless against spitter/smoker/jockey/hunter combos while the bots dork around some 200 feet away with a neverending zombie horde separating us is frustrating to no end.

    Conclusion:

The intensity for the finale needs to be reduced for single-player mode. Not once have I made it past the finale, despite at least 30 tries. To me, the intensity of the finale completely ruins this campaign. It may be doable for a 4-player co-op, but on my sub-par internet connection, I'm never going to be able to play this with even one other person. I'm willing to download any updates to see how they play out, but aside from that, I'm done with this campaign.

If you're in a similar situation with a slower internet speed, and you're looking for a Crash Course for L4D2, I'd recommend waiting until something else comes along.
