Insurgency Weapon Sound Mod (L4D)

My personal insurgency against VALVe's fugly weapon sounds.

This sound mod replaces the most weapon sounds with those from Insurgency.

This sound mod contains script files that add pitch variance to all gunfire and many handling sounds to make them sound much more realistic. But beware that these scripts only work on all official campaigns, official Survival maps, the "Achievement" campaign maps, the "No mercy hospital daytime" campaign maps and VALVe's test map (tutorial_standards).

There's an alternate version for the Hunting Rifle gunfire within the files. It's the same sound that's been used for the Left 4 Dead 2 Version of this mod (USN Mk.14 EBR). To use it, open up the .VPK file, "go to sounds/weapons/hunting_rifle/gunfire", delete "hunting_rifle_fire_1.wav" and rename "hunting_rifle_fire_1_ALTERNATE.wav" to "hunting_rifle_fire_1.wav". After that, re-pack the files with VPK.exe and you're good to go.
