A Medieval Adventure

This campaign looks great.  There is so much artwork.  The maps are huge.  The bot players didn't have any problems except in the fourth map.  They did not pick up health kits when the fourth map started.  I did not see a Tank in the last map.  I thought there would be at least one Tank during the finale.  I'm not sure if that was intentional.  I guess all the players could have been knocked off a roof by a Tank during the finale.  I don't know where the Tank was at during the finale if there was a Tank.  I could hear music playing during the finale.  I didn't hear one Tank anywhere.

A Funny Halloween

This campaign is so fun to play.  The music during the finale is hilarious.  This is a short campaign.  I wish there was one more map.   I loved the artwork and sound effects.  It's definitely an experience.  I never did like Halloween that much until I played this.

Brutal Eye Candy

I always play the version of this campaign that has less difficulty.  I can't play the extreme difficulty version with bot players.  This campaign has gorgeous lighting and graphics.  It was created from a Half-Life 2 mod that was abandoned by the developer years ago.  That's what I like most about this campaign.  There was no way to see these Half-Life 2 maps before they were converted for Left 4 Dead 2.  I can confirm that the bot players are using that ammo pile in the monastery during the scavenge event in the second map.  That scavenge event is still brutal with bot players.  One of them usually gets hit by a Charger and knocked off a cliff.  Then he falls to his death.  I have been noticing an unusual bug that started after the most recent update.  It's a problem with the torch melee weapon.  I start seeing missing textures when I swing the torch back and forth.  The fire from the torch has missing textures.  The problem doesn't start until after the scavenge event begins and I can see all the gas cans.  That's in the second map.  The problem with missing textures does not disappear until after the third map starts.  The bot players don't use the ammo pile in the last map.  There is some kind of bot navigation problem in the last map.  Sometimes the bot players will go behind the shipping container that's near the ammo pile.  That's not a major problem.  The bot players will still pick up the weapons and supplies that are near the campfire during the finale.

A Few Missing Props

This campaign is almost perfect.  There were a few invisible objects in the way when I played this.  There were places where the bot players had a tough time navigating.  They teleported through many of the objects.  They were able to use all the items and ammo piles.  A few of the Tanks attacked without warning.  One Tank did that after I blew up Whitaker's gun shop.  A Tank climbed over a diesel truck and hit all three bot players with a car.  I thought we were all going to die.  I managed to kill the Tank and save one bot player.  The finale was perfect.  I wouldn't change anything about the finale.  This campaign would be as good as Dead Industry Fixed, No More Industries Extended, and New World Order Extended if something could be done about the invisible objects.

Crazy Trains

This campaign was much better than I expected after the problem with the helicopter's sound was solved in the first map.  Anyone who had not played the beta version doesn't know what I'm talking about.  There was a constant deafening noise from the helicopter taking off throughout the entire first map.  What I really liked about this campaign was the train ride in the third map.  There's a big panic event that starts before the train arrives.  I also enjoyed the finale.  It does take a while for the train to arrive during the finale.  This campaign was a total nightmare the first time I played it.  The computer was playing too aggressively, and the bot players weren't able to use some of the ammo piles in the second map.  The only reason I can't give this campaign a perfect score is because there were no extra weapons inside the Safe Room in the last map.  I had been using the M60 gun.  That weapon was out of ammo by the time I got to the last map.

Unforgivable Finale

This is one of the best campaigns I've played.  I really liked the dark atmosphere.  That made everything more mysterious and unsettling to me.  This campaign reminded me of the Unforgivable Night campaign because of the darkness.  I recommend installing the CrazyRabbit Tactical Flashlight mod for anyone having a problem with the dark atmosphere.  The updated finale did seem easier until I had to open a gate and start running to the helicopter.  I had to kill two Tanks while being attacked by a constant horde of zombies.  The finale isn't really more difficult than the Cold Stream finale.  There's no need to make the finale easier.  I thought this campaign was better than Unforgivable Night.  There's a serious lack of supplies in the first map of Unforgivable Night.  I have to give this campaign five stars because I didn't experience any graphics lag or some panic event that was too difficult to survive most of the time, and this is not a short campaign.

Lost in Skyrim

This is a good campaign.  I like it mostly because of the difficulty in the third map.  I always get ambushed and almost die in the third map.  Some of the bot players will get stuck in the last map if you choose an alternate route to the rescue area.  You have to follow the horse and wagon until they stop at the place to be rescued.  I was expecting to see villagers and animals walking through an old medieval town, but this is L4D2.  The town is full of zombies.  Creating the horse and wagon for the finale must have been the most difficult task.  That horse and wagon reminded me of the Budweiser Clydesdales.  I don't remember seeing another rescue like that.

Escape from the Lockdown

This campaign has changed so much from the previous version.  The first two maps look completely different.  They are much longer.  I didn't have any problems with graphics lag this time.  This is a long campaign.  It seemed like it was slightly easier to advance through the tunnel in the last map.  I don't remember any places where the bot players would not pick up items.  This looks like the finished product to me.  I recently downloaded a Half-Life 2 mod from the Steam Workshop.  It's called Snowdrop Escape.  That's a big mod.  It has plenty of puzzles, but this L4D2 campaign is still better.  It has better gameplay.

An Essential Mod

I wish I had installed this mod years ago.  I thought this mod was just for the Hunting Rifle the first time I saw it.  This mod improves the performance of the Sniper Rifle too.  It doesn't change the amount of ammo for the sniper rifles.  It just improves their performance.

Left 4 Dead 2 Weapons

I felt like I was using the Assault Rifle in L4D2 when I had this mod installed.  None of the weapons felt overpowered.  I will probably keep this mod because the Assault Rifle does eat ammo.

A Minor Improvement

I noticed minor differences in the game after I installed this.  It was mainly when a horde of zombies was rushing towards me.  I could see each zombie more clearly.  The horde did look more like a jumbled mess without this mod installed.  This mod may have improved the lighting in the game.  I could see everything a little more clearly.  I think the bad performance of the game affects the bot players too.  The bot players did seem slightly more reactive, and they weren't getting stuck behind objects as much.  I still play Left 4 Dead sometimes because of campaigns like Death Toll Apocalypse, Blood Harvest Apocalypse, and Coal'd Blood.  There's no way Left 4 Dead will ever be as good as Left 4 Dead 2.  Not even this mod will make that happen.  I don't think this GameMaps version is the latest version.  A person should download this mod from Github.  That's what I did.  There's also a mod that fixes the particles in Left 4 Dead on that website.

This Mod is Not for Me

This is a good mod if a person wants a powerful, silenced Assault Rifle with a slow rate of fire.  The Assault Rifle seems more powerful than the M60 in L4D2 with this mod installed.  I don't like the clip size.  There are only thirty bullets in a clip.  I was expecting to use a silenced Assault Rifle that does slightly more damage and has the same rate of fire as the original weapon before I installed this.

Better Shotguns

This mod does make the shotguns more effective, but there is a trade off.  It's slightly more difficult to kill a zombie that's standing directly in front of you.  It's easier to kill a zombie from a distance.  I can usually kill a Smoker or Hunter with two or three shots instead of four when I'm using the auto shotgun.  A person really needs this mod for killing Tanks.  The Tanks move so fast in Left 4 Dead.

A Punishing Campaign

This campaign is brutal with bot players.  Their response time is not fast enough.  They stand and don't do much of anything when there's a horde of zombies attacking them.  There are probably too many zombies attacking at once.  The bot players can't climb down the ladder inside the tower in the second map without one of them falling off the ladder.  They walk into fires and almost die.  There are only two or three extra health kits in this campaign.  I don't remember seeing one melee weapon in the first map.  All the scenery in this campaign looks like it's from Blood Harvest.  The second map is a dead end if you don't climb to the top of that tower and activate a remote control after you activate the generator on the ground.  I really think there are too many zombies in the last map.  The zombies and the Tank all start attacking at once.  The finale is still more rewarding than the finale in Dead Echo 2.  The bot players can climb into the back of that APC vehicle and escape during the finale.  There are different versions of this Dam It campaign.  I think Dam It Remastered is better than this version.  It has more Tier 2 weapons and supplies.

Get On The Boat!

This is a great campaign.  I wasn't sure what to expect during the finale.  I knew everyone had a gas can.  There aren't many zombies in this campaign.  Less than 2,200 zombies were killed when I played it.  It's still a tough campaign because the zombies spawn so close to you, especially during the finale.

Better Than Expected

I played this campaign a few more times.  I had to write a different a review for it.  I think this may be a good campaign if you can install it properly.  By default, this campaign always ends up in a subfolder inside the SourceMods folder after I install it.  The SourceMods folder is inside the Steam folder.  I think the trick is to cut and paste this campaign from the 500 folder into the 550 folder and start the game.  I didn't have a problem with players spawning outside the Safe Room in the third map after I did that.  That third map may still be bugged out.  I don't know for sure.  Escaping from that burning building in the fourth map is impossible if you don't activate a control panel inside the Safe Room first.  I can't give this campaign five stars because of the installation problem, there were no throwable items in the last map, and all of the maps are in Chinese.  They are not in English.

6,706 Zombies Were Killed

I had to write a different review for this campaign.  I didn't give it enough credit the first time I played it.  I thought it was too difficult to play.  This campaign reminds me of the Lost campaign by Trane because it's so easy to get lost.  It's better than the Lost campaign.  That campaign doesn't have enough ammo and health kits in some maps.  I'm sure this Z-PTZ campaign will always be one of the most underrated campaigns on this website.  I didn't have any problems with this campaign crashing.  The bot players did fall a few times.  That could happen in any campaign.  I think it's best to play this campaign with bot players because there are so many trees outside.  It's impossible for a human player to see through all those trees.

A Decent Campaign

I kept having a problem with the finale.  The ammo pile kept spawning in an area where the bot players couldn't use it.  The ammo pile spawns near the mounted gun now.  This entire campaign is like being in an abandoned mall.  There isn't really anything memorable about this campaign.  It's not like the Dead Before Dawn campaign.  It's still fun to play because there are so many ways the special infected zombies can attack players.  They usually break through a wall or drop from a ceiling.  The finale takes place outside on a rooftop.  I think the finale is easier if someone uses the mounted gun.

Similar to Project Auburn 2

This is still one of my favorite campaigns.  I think I discovered the secret to making the bot players get into that elevator.  I had to press the button on the elevator.  Then I had to stand beside the elevator and wait for the elevator doors to open.  Standing in front of the elevator or walking far away from the elevator seems to confuse the bot players.  They won't get into the elevator after I do that.  The second map of this campaign is very difficult because I have to turn off an alarm.  I am usually out of ammo by the time I open the door that starts the alarm.  The ammo pile is in the Safe Room.  I had to stand on top of that generator near the Safe Room, hop onto a ledge, and walk back into the Safe Room.  That was the only way to get more ammo before that first panic event started.  There are a lot of tight spaces in this campaign.  It's easy to get trapped by a Spitter or a Tank.  The Witch Maze is not extremely difficult to navigate.  Fortunately, the direction of the maze doesn't change.  You have to keep moving to the left.  Sometimes there are no witches in the maze.  The tight spaces make this campaign similar to Project Auburn 2.

Car Alarms Everywhere

These Apocalypse campaigns are some of the best campaigns for Left 4 Dead.  They have great graphics.  They are well designed.  Most of them are long and tedious.  I was afraid many people downloaded this campaign, played it a few times, and deleted it from their computers.  That's because of the finale.  The finale is extremely frustrating if you don't know about the second switch that restarts the generator.  That switch is not located on the generator.  All of these Apocalypse campaigns are completely different from the original campaigns.

Zoey's Hunting Rifle

I did notice a difference in the difficulty after I installed this.  Zoey always uses the hunting rifle.  She does a better job of protecting the team with this mod installed.  This mod always installs into the wrong SourceMods subfolder.  The actual .VPK file will have to be cut and pasted into the Left 4 Dead Addons folder after the mod has been installed.

One of the Best New Campaigns

The is one of the most unusual campaigns that I've played.  The maps are always different every time I play it.  This is not an easy campaign to play because the computer only provides enough healthkits for the players to survive.  Most of the time there's only one healthkit in a Safe Room.  I like everything about this campaign except for the lighting.  Some areas are really dark.  The darkness and the Tanks make this campaign difficult enough for me.  Some people still don't think it's difficult enough.  I wonder if those people played it more than once.  It was easy the first time I played it.  There weren't many zombie hordes.  I didn't really get trapped by any of the special infected zombies.  I'm certain the computer adapts to your playing style.  It's not easy for me to play now.

It's a good Half-Life 2 campaign

Version 3.0 is better than 2.0. The bot players will get into the elevator without so much difficulty now. I still don't love the finale. It's so difficult. Special infected zombies were trying to kill me while I was trying to kill those two Tanks. That was on Normal difficulty. I usually survive the finale, but it's so difficult that I don't really enjoy playing it. There's no good place to camp during the finale. I tried standing on the roof. That's the best place to get hit by a Charger. There's no place to camp inside the buildings without standing in Spitter goo for a few seconds. The extra melee weapons definitely helped. The original campaign only included two or three crowbars.

Unique Campaign

This campaign is like a mix of Half-Life 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 because of the A.I. characters that appear in the campaign.  This is a good campaign.  The voice acting is very good, but I don't recommend playing this with bot players.  There was one area where I had to salvage parts and gasoline so that I could escape in a rescue truck.  The bot players would not pick up guns, ammo, health kits, pills, or anything else.  I'm not sure if custom skins for Nick work with this campaign.  I was using a custom skin for Nick, and I noticed that his gun holster had missing textures.  I did get killed the first time I played this.  I think I was supposed to run to a bunker room after I escaped in the rescue truck.  The whole team was bombed into oblivion.  I remember watching the credits after that.

Not Perfect Yet

This would be one of my favorite campaigns if it didn't have certain issues.  Sometimes the bot players won't pick up pills, and I have to give them pills.  Sometimes they won't pick up ammo until I stand next to an ammo pile.  Those aren't major problems.  The bot players will get on the elevator now so that I can go down and activate the three pumps, but I did notice something wrong with the color of the water at the first pump.  It was purple.  It looked like missing textures.  I never had that problem before.  The only other problem I always have is that the stats never display after I finish the finale.  I just get a blank screen after the finale ends.  That isn't really a problem.  I can just press the Escape button on the keyboard.

Almost Perfect

This is a long campaign.  It's a lot better than it used to be, but the bot players still won't pick up pills, health kits, and certain items most of the time.  That makes this campaign much more difficult than it should be.  I don't remember one bot player picking up a magnum the whole time.  The first map was extremely difficult because there were no health kits available.  The finale was awesome.  I enjoyed watching the zombies slide down the pyramid.
