The past couple weeks our primary focus has been on publishing. From platforms and games, to maps and mods; the publishing process is being upgraded! We look forward to any feedback, questions, or comments during the process.
Games/Platforms
You can now browse and publish content for over 100,000 games in over 100 supported platforms! Every digital game in human existence should now be available on GameMaps. You can select any game and begin uploading content, guides and images immediately. Lets go over how it all works.
When browsing games from the homepage (or any platform) you will see a game search. After searching for any game, the list of results should appear for you to select from. (see below)

When game results appear you will either see a STAR or a plus [+] next to the game title.
⭐️ - A star icon means the game is ready to accept custom content. You can click the star to add the game to your favorites.
➕ - A [+] icon means the game hasn't been activated on GameMaps yet. Select the game to activate it to begin publishing content.

When you activate a new game it will ask you to please wait for a moment. Once the game has been activated you will be redirected to the game area where you can begin contributing content.

Additional Information:
- Members can only activate 1 new game every 15 minutes. (temporary)
- Activating games is only for beta, in the future all games will be activated.
- Games don't appear when browsing platforms unless they have been activated. Once activated, the game will appear in the platform areas (pc, playstation, etc..).
- After activating a game, the game logo may be missing. This will be resolved shortly.
We would like to ask everyone to browse games and give this a try. Remember, you can only activate one new game every 15 minutes. If you have any questions or run into any difficulties be sure to let us know.

Reviews
Since the relaunch of the reviews system, there's been hundreds of new reviews submitted! In the near future we plan to display the latest reviews for all players to read and enjoy. In the meantime we want to thank everyone for verifying content and writing reviews. Additional updates related to reviews are listed below.
- Positivity threshold has been added to reviews. If your average review score drops below 50%, the account will be limited to writing positive reviews only.
- Publishers can now reply to reviews.
- Disabled the ability to reply to reviews from the live site.
- You can now select half stars when applying a rating.
- Review scores updated so 9.5+/10 is equivalent to 5 stars.
Additional Updates
- Search has been updated and added back to the header.
- When games have no content, the page is now more user friendly.
- You can now see what platforms each game supports.
- New releases now appear in the sidebar when browsing games.
- Game thumbnails have changed to game posters.
Now that we have completed the games and platforms, we are currently working on upgrading the publishing content process.
