As we enter the new year we wanted to give publishers the most exposure possible moving forward.  Here forward, any new releases and updates will now be 'featured' across the platform.  In addition we want to give players the best experience when browsing content.  This has been our main focus and will also continue into next week.



Featured Content
To promote new content and increase exposure we've decided to feature ALL new releases across the GameMaps platform!  You will now notice 'Featured content' displayed on most pages when browsing. Featured content will randomly display (from up to 100) recently released items. 




Discover Content
In addition to featured content, we wanted to give you more ways to discover and promote content that may have been buried.   To help promote buried content we have added a new 'Discover' sorting option when browsing content.  When you sort items by 'Discover' it will display results with the least amount of views.  Liking undiscovered content will also give it a chance to shine and be featured in the promotional sliders.




Browsing
Browsing content has been updated to put focus on the results, which will make a better browsing experience. When browsing content results will be less obstructed by modules such as 'sliders' and 'trending' content.  We have temporarily removed the 'active filter' while we develop a more user-friendly experience. 





We've got our hands full working on new features!  Over the next week we plan to further enhance the browsing experience and improve the publishing steps for files, guides, and gallery items.  In addition we aim to update discussions, achievements and the credits shop.  We anticipate most of these forward looking tasks will be completed next week.
