How to get rid of the red circle with the number in white

  • This is annoying as I've tried everything it appears next to the small avatar at the top right and the User Subscriptions. I've gone to User subscriptions 5 times and the red circle won't clear off. Is it a bug or am I missing something?

  • I also have this as well.
Normally I can find what the notification is about but right now I can't.
There's also one on top of "credits" but I can't click it.

  • My red circle has been there as long as I can remember, but since the number changes all the time I figured it was some sort of activity counter.

  • I don't have this problem. Try visiting every page with red circle. Try also refreshing those pages cache files, in Firefox its CTRL + SHIFT + R buttons.

We have updated the notification system for the forums and it should be improved now.
In addition there are new read/unread markers (green).

    Known issues:
You may temporarily encounter the issues described below.

    - Read/Unread markers in the left sidebar may have a 5 minute delay.
    - Red circle notifications may still appear for forums, this is temporary. (menu bar)
    - "Mark all as read" may appear disabled even though the category indicates there is unread topics. This is because of the 5 minute delay.

More details will be elaborated in the upcoming news.

  • considering before this started, i recently switched from a Firefox alternative to Edge, I doubt it's related to anything browser specific.
also, it happens mobile in Chrome as well.

I've browsed around everything I could find starting with iLL's original thought about 'subscriptions".
everything is now also marked as read...

still there, as well as something over credits.

at this point it's got me thinking it is indeed a bug.
