If you're the creator/ uploader of that mod, you can try to update the mod by reverting the version to the older one. Afaik, if the mod version bug is not fixed yet, updating a mod by setting the version number to the older one will result in showing the older mod instead of the newly uploaded one.
Anyway, I think this might be a good idea too, if gamemaps still has the database for the older versions (probably they have, looking at how the mod version bug works. But I don't know how far they keep the database of the older versions). You can try to bring this idea of yours to the gamemaps update-related threads, so some admins & staff could notice it faster.
Btw, there's also a site to track some older versions of sites & mods. I forget the exact name of the site, but it uses some words like "Time Machine", "Way Back Machine" or something (it's real, not a joke). I ever found some older versions of some mods when gamemaps still had 3 optional download servers like Saltlake etc on that site, but not all mods are saved there.
