An exciting horror-themed quest!

The terrain is detailed and well structured, making superb use of a small map. Not a single tile wasted. Working up the tech tree is punishing thanks to the harassment and confined space, but the mines are distributed to make expanding feel important.

A Great Map to Explore

There's not much to dislike. The journey is in two halves. The first half is guiding Alleria through the forest to reach the friendly base. The second half is a macro battle against the orcs. This one took me two tries. It's easy to botch the first half of the quest if you're impatient (like me), but if you can reach the elf city you'll have the opportunity to stabilize and start macroing.

Minor con: the forest paths are tight and the path-finding AI needs a lot of babysitting to navigate. The gold in the elf city is loaded so I never felt crunched for cash. Even so, it was a ton of fun skirmishing the orcs for control of the centre-left expansion!

Bravo, this was a lot of fun! The terrain of the island is nice. Clustered, but not dense enough to kill the path-finding. I noticed the detailed tiles were missing from the grass and dirt (rocks, bushes, stones, etc). One more art pass to decorate it would bring the landscape to life imo. Also, since the island appears to be anonymous I’m naming it "Mark Island."

After finishing with the primary affairs I had to spend 5 - 10 minutes tracking down all the creeps and rescues with holy vision, rangers, and flyers. Not a big deal but it was a bit anticlimactic.
