  • Thanks for the report! Not being able to use a download manager is something we are aware of and intend to improve at some point. Until then you will need to download normally in order to use it. The global mirror is not bandwidth limited though so unless you are being throttled by your ISP a download manager shouldn't make an appreciable difference in speed anyway!

  • It just happened recently until now, but somehow I couldn't download from the "Saltlake" server this time. It happened since yesterday, as I usually checked my uploaded file to see if it was corrupted or not by downloading & opening the file. When I tried to download from "Saltlake", it showed error like "nginx" in the attachment I included below. The international server works well though.

  • Btw I just wanted to inform that "Global Server" download link is probably down. There comes error like this when downloading via "Global (International) Server":

The Salt Lake server is fine, but I figured out that some people like downloading from global server. I hope that admins could investigate & fix that error soon.

  • Hello Computator:

I don't know if there's still an issue, but yesterday I found I couldn't download anything from either Salt Lake or Global. The error message said the URL didn't exist. Perhaps things have been fixed now, but I thought I'd point it out. And this error happened with BOTH the regular website and the beta website.

Also, the bug regarding screenshots is still there- the fourth screenshot is shown in the slide show instead of the featured one.

    Have a wonderful day!

  • @AlfredENeuman: About the errors on download, I don't know if it's related to browsers or not, but Salt Lake still works, for me. I usually used opera to download my own mod after release, to check if it's corrupted or not. When I tested "Global Server", it showed error like what I put on screenshot. Some members also reported about download problems when using "Global Server", so that's why I took an initiative to add an external mirror via googledrive on my mod. Maybe you could also add some external mirrors on your recent mods as a temporary solution until admins are back.

  • Well, I just tried to download Left 4 Dead 2.75 Version 3 and it worked just fine. But when I tried to download a mod that wasn't mine that was in another section I got the error message Invalid URL. I'm going to reach out to Rayman1103 and let him know about this situation- maybe it'll make a difference.

  • Btw, it looks like now even "Salt Lake" is broken. I've been testing to download the recently uploaded mods since few days ago & the results were the same as this one I uploaded just now:

Fortunately I already anticipated with an "External Mirror". I haven't tested VIP server though. I hope that admins could solve this soon. At least one of the should be fixed immediately.

Additional Info: Only mods recently uploaded since few days ago have this error when downloading from Salt Lake. Old mods have no problem.

  • kurochama, might I suggest you contact Rayman1103 and let him know. I've found he is remarkably responsive when he knows there's a problem. In fact, when I recently reported another A-hole spamming the forum with their ad he banned that person and deleted their comments THE SAME DAY!

  • @AlfredENeuman: I contacted Mr. Rayman more than 12 hours ago after I didn't get a reply from Mr. iLL & at the same time I remembered that you'd ever replied here about trying to contact Mr. Rayman. He hasn't replied my message yet until now, but somehow the download link problem has been fixed now, on both Salt Lake & Global. Probably he had the problem fixed soon after my report.

  • yet didn't ban the all too well known troublemakers I've been reporting for so long.
    how very interesting, hmm.

  • @Trunten: probably they're short on staff members right now & they fixed the download problem first as that was crucial to this site. Even Steam also has problems in handling reports, like for example, the legendary Huck had been sharing duplicate maps for years & Steam let him slip until last time when all his contents were removed, all of sudden. & lately he's back from the grave & active in reuploading maps again there. So probably all we can do now is wait until the reports are handled by the admins & staff one by one.
