New area does not make any sense, it does not feel real in any sense and is a generic maze
Button presses for most crecendo events still have no progress bar.

Conclusion:

This directors cut was a big step backwards, removing the first level and adding a mediocre level was just a mistake. Previously this level was top notch in general believability of world achitecture and level navigation flow.  The new maze office area is just a jumbled mess that looks generic and not well thought out.  Do yourself a favor and play the original version.
