Alleria's Quest

The Second War rages in Lordaeron. While Human kingdoms fiercely resist the Orcish invaders, the Elven kingdom of Quel'Thalas lives on as if nothing happened, believing themselves to be far removed from the mortal's squabblings and protected by the Runestone's magic. Honouring their debt to the Arathi bloodline, the Elves have sent a cadre of archers and rangers led by Alleria Windrunner. 

Unbeknownst to them, Gul'Dan was enacting his plan. He conspired with the Amani Trolls who have been bearing deep contempt for the Elvenkind for many millennia, and sent his protege, Cho'gall of the Twilight Hammer Clan to launch a surprise attack on Quel'Thalas to take hold of the arcane knowledge and artefacts of the ancient race. Moving swiftly, Orcs have captured and defiled a runestone, rebuilding it into the Altar of Storms, while the Amani Trolls sneaked into the depths of the forest kingdom raiding and slaughtering everything in sight.

As Alleria arrived at her homeland to bring the warning, she realized, it was too late. The whole kingdom was in disarray. Villages burnt, ranger forces surrounded from all sides, and the capital Silvermoon, panicked, has locked its gates attacking anyone approaching from the woods... even their own refugees.

Now, Alleria has to fight her way to Silvermoon, take control over the armies of Quel'Thalas and, with the incoming reinforcements of knights from Lordaeron, stop the Orcish invasion once and for all.
