Hello, I'm new to the L4D modding scene but I've been fascinated with the game as of late so I thought I'd try out a few maps and mods.

  • Pros:

-Multiple vantage points to camp out.

-Supplies are placed fairly evenly with no massive stockpiles or anything like that.

-Camping out in a house surrounded by zombies. Makes for pretty epic battles I must say!

-Turret(s) that are in nice and useful locations.

-A.I. has little to no problems running around following you. (Keep in mind I hadn't played this with real people so I'm not sure how that would go about.)

-Random exploding car? Not really sure about this, but I was walking past it before the horde had even been alerted and it exploded right next to me, scared the pants off me! :D

-Interesting how after you switch on the horde alerter the downstairs lights up.

-Fairly small map that still has quite a bit of character to it.

    -Sweet poster!

    Cons:

-There's a few places where you can just sit and survive for a good 5+ minutes quite easily...maybe a bit TOO easily? [-3]

-Maybe a bit too many tanks, I had two or three at the same time once, and it seemed like one always came when I killed another until they just started to stack and become two at once- though that adds to the difficulty I suppose. [-1]

-The turret upstairs has a bit of a weird angle on the window, you can fire far out by not close which is kind of needed for the zombies in the doorway downstairs, you can only shoot about 50% of them. Again, this isn't much of a big issue. [-1]

-Some places in the starting floor are very cramped and hard to walk through, made me get lost for a minute or two. [-2]

-And easily the most prominent error I could find in this map- trying to find the horde alerter! I walked around the map for a good five minutes and still couldn't find how to start the horde. I think if you either placed the player downstairs or placed the alerter on the starting floor, it would fix this problem. [-5]

    Conclusion:

This was not only my first custom map ever played, but also my first review of a custom map. If I'm not mistaken, this is your 2nd map made, and it's quite well done. If you want to spend a good 30 minutes or so replaying a good survival map, download Hot Water. Even though there is a few problems with it, they can easily be fixed and I would definitely give this map a 95 or so if and when they are. Great job Logiwan! ^_^
