I picked this up thinking "Oh hey, Darksiders reference. lol" but then I was like "This is the best magnum mod ever." This has become my new favorite mod. A must-have for anyone who uses the Magnum a lot.
Pros:
-Great level design, never got really boring -Interesting panic events -Clever bunker ending -Maps felt open without being exposed -Finale gauntlet was -just- challenging enough -Start off without primary weapons, but don't spend very much time without them
Cons:
-Graveyard in second level around church felt like it was paved over with concrete. -Didn't find a single magnum -Melee weapons are rare, and had little variety -First time through, the church event started with no warning. Suddenly I heard the "incoming horde scream" and that was my clue.
Conclusion:
I prefer 5-map campaigns, but this is one I'm gonna keep. It's definitely better than all three official "short" campaigns.
Pros:
-Powerful sounds -No foregrip -No scope -High-definition textures -No HUD icon, therefore no mod conflicts -Flashlight on top of weapon, interesting

-Stock too long, clips through survivor's shoulders in world-view -Blot goes past the end of the groove when firing, though not when reloading -Reload animation is a bit glitchy, hands often in slightly different locations, clipping through gun/magazine
Conclusion:
At first, the glitchy reload kind of turned me off, but when I got into it, the subtle difference in hand position actually makes this gun feel like it's being used by a human. This mod has made the SCAR my new favorite weapon.

I first tested this mod on the Haunted Forest campaign, and I damn near shit myself. Oh my sweet baby Jesus, this mod is awesome.

-Atmospheric -Exciting gameplay -Aesthetically pleasing. (Thank God someone made a forest with green trees for once.) -Love the custom tank skins -Has a story that is fairly easy to follow

-Too easy to get lost -Too long. Way too long. Way way way way way too long. Holy shit. It took me 2 hours playing single-player on normal mode to get through the whole campaign first time through, and I like to think I'm pretty good at this game and can breeze through most maps. Some maps are almost impossible on Expert, due only to the huuuuuuuge length of the maps.
Conclusion:
This map is excellent, detailed, and clearly made with love and care. Top notch. I hate to disrespect such an amazing, painstaking campaign, but I wanted to stab myself in the throat when I tried playing this campaign on Expert, simply because everyone would die because the maps are so long. It got to the point where I just couldn't bear playing this map again. I can only imagine trying to finish a single map in Versus mode. I know it sounds like I'm beating a dead horse, but dude. Holy crap. Don't stuff so much into one campaign. 6 maps is not the problem; 6 super long maps is.
Pros:
-Great intro -Custom melee weapons were decent -Wonderful atmosphere -Amazing custom music -Genius level design; never boring, never got lost -Great finale: not too hard, not too boring. Arena felt both large and cramped at the same time, creating an exciting feel -Weapons placed just right in maps -Fits very well with many mods -Survivor conversations were perfect, and often hilarious -Tank behind the door in 3rd level was surprising brilliant -L4D1 Survivors fit the atmosphere perfectly, though I would be interested to see how it would feel with the L4D2 Survivors
Cons:
-The Sledgehammer did not feel as powerful as a sledgehammer should. I think it needs a more intense impact sound, perhaps even a custom sound, though I am by no means experienced in modding, myself. -I wish the rescue cutscene was just a tiny bit longer, perhaps even with a little dialogue, but this is just a personal taste issue.
Conclusion:
Hands down, best custom campaign I have ever played. Atmospheric, fresh, and best of all, the Bots' AI did not act wonky like it often does on custom maps. I believe every L4D2 player everywhere ought to have a copy of this campaign.

-Gnome Link sinks through the floor in many places, making it difficult to get to the secret room in single-player mode -Sometimes the "Enemy Near" music would not stop playing, and would override all other music until the end of the level -Megaton Hammer as a melee weapon has a really weird problem; it seems it can only kill two or three infected per swing, regardless of how many are actually in melee range.
Conclusion:
I had to edit my review. It turned out that, while I was testing this map, my computer had a virus that was messing with the way my computer handled Left 4 Dead, and that was the cause of most of the problems I was experiencing. With that out of my system, this map ran pretty much perfectly. Excellent work, NickNak!
Pros:
-Genius level design, rarely got lost even on non-linear levels -Near-perfect setup for Versus play -Incredibly imersive, great atmosphere -Finale always kept me on my toes. Lack of "hidey corners" provided excellent challenge without being overwhelming -Works well with many mods, such as idle chat alterations or gun additions -Outdoor environments are not-too-open, not-too-cluttered -Indoor environments are tight without being claustrophobic
Cons:
-Some levels at first feel a bit too long, though this is easily rectified after a few play-throughs
Conclusion:
An amazing custom campaign, above and beyond the standard. Getting lost only happens if you're not paying attention to the environment, and even then, can be quickly fixed with just a little attentiveness. Maps feel as if made by a Valve standard, with the fine touch of the home player's attitude. This campaign ought to go down as a classic. Everyone should download this map.
