Conclusion:

Overall, a nice, big and adventurous map that has so much to offer.  A real life Indiana Jones theme to it and just like the space map, its very well thought out and very fun to play, over and over again.

Pros:

Unique escape vehicle 

Very interesting with the part where you loot bodies and stuff for random items.

The way that the pieces are scattered, were fun and different.

Reasonable buildables and time to build them

Fair tank spawning and horde

The idea of a gun-shop for the weapons was simple yet creative

Get to start out with decent weapons and items before actually starting the event itself

It felt a bit cramped and small at times, but that really wasn't too much of an issue

The ending outro was, well, boring.  I mean, at first, it looked good, but there wasn't any action, just a zoom in camera, and that's it.

Bots had NAV issues.  Will do more testing to find out more specific things

Conclusion:

For the first release, its very well done and doesn't seem to need anything fixed.  Ill report anything that I see after further testing.

Each one of the molten infected look great.  Can't wait to see the next Special infected, and if it is possible, it would be interesting to see Molten Uncommon or common.  not sure how that would work, but at leas the special infected would be great.

Like the guy below me said, a brighter flashlight is needed in order to cut through the darkness.

Conclusion:

Overall, its a must have for those who enjoy a more surreal game experience for the Dark Carnival and those who liked how dark the l4d1 maps were.


As for other campaigns that would be good to see something like this, I would say probably Death Toll, The Passing, Swamp Fever, No Mercy, Blood Harvest, and Crash Course.  Hope to see more of these in the future.

Pros:

One of the few mods for the Riot Shield

Looks nice and clean and very sharp

Seems to be a bit easier to see through it

Cons:

Not many campaigns have shields

Conclusion:

I really thought that Valve would add this in with the coming of Coldstream.  IMO, having a riot policeman drop either one of the Batons, or one of these shields, would be really great, but they didn't add it into any of the official campaigns.  For the ones that do have the shield, this mod makes it just a bit more enjoyable and a bit more realistic.

Pros:

+ Its a "lets build s" map
+ Its a unique "lets build a" map since this deals with building a car from scratch
+ Custom music at the start of the map was really nice, even though it didnt loop
+ Tanks spawned at much better times
+ Lots of things to build and research
+ Various objects and scenary things added throughout the whole map
+ Nice system for researching items (firearms, health stuff, melee weapons, and ammo piles, were nicely seperated.)
+ Having to turn o nthe lights to see things better, was fairly simple, but I  liked it
+ The grammar and spelling seemed to be much better
+ Overall, just a fun map

Cons:

Ok, so it isnt perfect, but theres quite a few issues with this map still, and Ill list what I can remeber

- Intro was very crude and could have been done better
- Loading screen picture could be more crisper.  It felt blurred
- Half of those light generators through the map, clipped through the ground
- The door for the gas station, should open in, rather than out, and the explosive barrels behind it, should be pushed to the side
- When  "searching" certain items and stuff, the camera moves too far away from where the player is
- The bots do not grab the ammo in the reseach house, but they do grab it when its in the concrete tower with the newspapers. (I think it might be either a NAV issue or maybe its because the ammo pile is floating above the table)
- Bots wouldnt always grab the weapons inside of the research house
- Some of the object outlines, were not there for various fences and stuff
- Since the autoturrent and upgradeable turrent has been removed, either remove the paart where players can research the newspapers, or have it so people have to use the newspapers, in order to build turrents
- Some of the firearms when unlocked, still appeared red
- Laser sights, fire ammo, frag rounds, gas tanks, and oxygen tanks were not there
- The ending music played too early, and when the game was over, the "escape to the escape vehicle" music played
- Stats did not record throughout the game

Conclusion:

I really did like this map and I enjoyed seeing it progress.  I wish you would focus on some of the minor things (even if its simple things like improving the lighting, fix clipping issues, or make things clearer to understand, etc.) because this map is nearly done IMO.  Ill add more things if I find them, but this is all I can think of for the time being.  If you do improve or change a few of these bugs, then I will definitly change my rating, but for the time being, I will gve it a 7.5

Defintly worth getting.  Just be patient.  There IS a way to escape.  If all else fails, just have the "smart bots" addon, and when you die, if you dont die, then they will lead you to where the exit is.

Good enough length for each map (not too long, nor too short)

the trigger with the gasoline for the third map wasnt highlighted, but a little exploring helped me to get it

Melee weapons seemed scarce.  There were a good amount near the beginning, but throughout the rest of the map, the only other melees i found were chainsaws

Conclusion:

Ok, so i had low expectations going into it after reading other peoples reviews, but I was actually suprised how good this map was.  The difficulty it takes to make a good swamp map has got to be really challenging, and i feel that you nailed it pretty good.  The flow of things was great, the bots were great, and all in alll, it was great.  The only gripe I would have is that some of the ground textures seeemd repetitive, and that the trees seeemed to have artifical light on them or something.  Other minors things I would say, is that I hope you keep up with this map, because I cant wait to see where you take it, if you were to continue it.  A minor add to the campaign, would be to add things like intro, loading sreen picture, chapter pictures, more survivor dialogue, and give the third chapter a different name.

Overall, the mechanics of the game were there, a lot of the major things were there, but a few simple textures were not, but those are just the small things.  Im defintly keeping this map on watchlist.

Another simple yet amazing addon.  I know some people were having with issues with it not working, or not installing correctly, but I just extracted the file to my addons file, and it works just fine.  IDK why it wouldnt work if you double clicked it, but if you simply copy paste it into the addons folder, it works.

Like the train or camper thing with the CDC looks real, and the sign that says "What to do with a zombie" on the back, was funny

Now, I dont know if this is related to your addon for the pump, or just me period, but I get some sort of 45/ model UTIL error whenever I try to make a server for the sacrifice, and even when I try to make a listen server.  Ive never had this error before, unless I join a heavly modded server, in which case i usually just get some random crash error lol.  Im 99% sure its not caused by this addon, but is there any info that you may know about this error?

Silenced SMG and the AK 47 sounds were IMO the BEST ive heard for the game

I didnt hear any squeaky noises when switch weapons (incomparison to another sound mod that ive tried before)

The pistol sounds didnt sound right, and there seemed to be a delay when using duel pistols

Also, magnum gun sound, just didnt feel right.

Shotuns seemed too loud, but they did sound real though

Conclusion:

All in all, this isnt a bad mod for people looking for better quality, or more realistic, sounds but since I mainly using magnums and shottys, Ill pass on it.

Im really excited to see where you take it with the next two maps, and if this is really your first map, then you did one hell of a great job.  The only part that I got really frustrated at was the alarm thing.  I was able to get on a conveyor belt that should take me up to that room where you then run through (and past the witch) and then from there, just go to the room with the alarm switch, but there were three boxes that were in my way.  i was able to jump around enough to get past two of the three boxes, but I was unable to get past that third one. Now, if there is another way, then Ill do that, but using the conveyor belt, wasnt possible due to those boxes being in the way.

Overall, Im glad to have downloaded this, and am looking forward to any changes in the future.  I think the graphics of the maps were great, the feel of the maps were great, and lag was minimal.  Since the last two updates, I feel that the issue with lag has been greatly improved, so I think its safe to say that downloading this map right now, is a good thing to do, and is worth it.

I felt like the zombies didnt even go for the pipebomb that well
the gasline sometimes didnt get a lot of the common zombies on fire (maybe because there was too many of them at one time)
AI is useless

Conclusion:

Although I like this map idea, I dont like how theres sooooo many common zombies swarming at once, and theres not much yo ucan do since it takes a few minutes to get to the health packs, second pistols and ammo pile and smg's.   Also, the barracades seem to take much longer to build than in the Lets Build A Rocket.  Also, if those barriers were closer to the main console, it would be easier to multi task.

I think some people read "Hidden Maps" and see that the pictures show parts of the map that we have seen, but they fail to realize that these maps were never used before, for scavengers or surivial.  Simple, yet effective, nice work
