OPERATION OVERLORD

NORMANDY, FRANCE — 1972

Yuri has betrayed us. Using his psychic technology, he has seized control of a massive army of Soviet and European forces.

During his betrayal, Yuri stole the designs for three of the world's most powerful super weapons:

- The Iron Curtain
- The Chronosphere
- The Weather Control Device

THE INVASION

The President, a Pentagon General, General Vladimir, Premier Romanov, and Einstein have gathered at Einstein's laboratory off the coast of Normandy to determine how to stop Yuri. Intelligence has revealed Yuri has launched a full-scale invasion of Normandy to **destroy Einstein's laboratory and to eliminate the world leaders.**

The majority of our defensive forces are Soviet, supported by a small number of American and European units that have resisted Yuri's control.

Several unconventional assets have been called from overseas to assist with the defence:

- Clint Westwood

Hey everyone!

This is my first-ever map, inspired by the Normandy Invasion during WWII. As a long-time survival player (I'm still horrible at most survival maps), I wanted to create something unique that puts a new twist on the survival experience in Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge. My goal was to give players a nostalgic feel of a mission's opening sequence then jumping right into the action to fight your way to victory!

Instead of focusing on building up your base to survive, this map gives you a massive front-line and back-line army that’s already been established. But don’t get too comfortable—while the army is ready, the invasion force coming at you is far from forgiving. Sammy Stallion said it best: "YOU WANT WAR? YOU GOT IT!" 

The map is definitely beatable—I’ve managed to complete it multiple times myself, despite not being great at survival maps—but I believe it will still offer somewhat of a challenge to even pro players. Above all, I wanted to create a fun experience for players that is constantly action packed and goes perfectly with the original RA2 soundtrack.
