The caves are dark and damp; the perfect conditions for what is to come... it's time to go goblin mode.
Protip: You can build over rocks that have been demolished. I didn't know that mechanic till a few weeks ago, despite having played this game for so many years. SO you just that to take back the caves from those rancid birds. I haven't had a chance yet to fully test this map, so please let me know if anything is off! Have fun!
Fun to build base on this map, rescuables a bit out of place
The aspect of bombing the mountains at your goldmine works a lot better in this version than in the human one. You have more goblin buildings to build more explosives and don't have any land units other than golbins and peons, meaning you don't have to build as many farms. Bombing for space is a nice concept.
It still is a bit hard to make use of all the rescuable units. For example on the river there is a tower and a few farms to be rescued. But it is not worth it to defend it from gryphons. I find that you are very inclined to just hold your base til the cpu is out of money.
I admit I found one way though to make use of rescuables. Rushing orange by bombing your way to the shipyard right away and building a foundry, bomb to orange, build guard towers and rescue the ogre and axe throwers to help defeat orange. All the other rescuables are a hassle to get in the narrow paths for little benefit.
You must survive on an island full of devils, then you must build ships to destroy their altar in the southwestern sea. Towers are not allowed, so you'll need to rely on archers to fend off the devils.
Things only get harder the further you go...
In most WarCraft 2 maps, you hit a critical mass where you simply bulldoze your enemies and just coast after the difficulty peak. This is my first attempt at a map that gets harder as it goes...
The Second War rages in Lordaeron. While Human kingdoms fiercely resist the Orcish invaders, the Elven kingdom of Quel'Thalas lives on as if nothing happened, believing themselves to be far removed from the mortal's squabblings and prote...
Commander,
The Kul Tiras fleet has secured Tiragarde Keep and established a beachhead deep in Durotar. This is the Alliance’s chance to push into hostile territory and strike at the heart of the Horde. Your orders are to expand our infl...
Those damn cave divers are back at it again. Send in the dwarves to rescue them!
Play as orc or human. There's no lumber on the map so beware! What you start with is what you get. To make up for this, dwarves and sappers don't cost any ...
