Custom melee weapons
Custom textures (There's a lot of custom here :P)
Shop/Currency in level 1
Nice level design
Console commands to let others know of completed objectives.
Backtracing through previous levels
Right length for a campaign
Small custom enemies
THAT LAVA RIPPLE IN LEVEL (5?) WAS TOO FREAKIN COOL
Bots has some trouble on ladders and killed themselves (Mainly on the first level)
The camo skins for some guns? I wasn't really a fan of them
I'm still not sure if it was intentional or not, but some tanks spawned trapped unless you pressed the switch, making them too easy to kill.
A couple of missing textures and models - In the boss key chest, and a missing model just before the flame dancer.
The final boss seems a tad too easy, I didn't take much damage from it at all.
I did get confused in some places, while others used the game instructor to show me where to go, which was useful.
Overall one of the best custom campaigns I've played in a while. Great for any Zelda fan (I haven't played any unfortunately D: ). Would most definitely recommend! Remeber to disable other addons, as that enabled me to see the particle effects which are very important to the campaign.
Great attention to detail on all 6 maps, both the playing environment and the 3d skybox
Varying range of settings
Tons of custom models and textures, my favourite being the fish tank lol
The siren created the ambience of a distressed place in the finale
The cinematic physics and unique panic events
Nice overall length
Plenty of survivor dialogue, nice to hear the survivors talking with each other
Colour correction definitely helped in places, such as forests
Multiple rescue vehicles
I might've been unlucky, but I only got witches and tanks when they were forced spawened, in levels 5 and 6.
Colour correction I felt was a bit too strong in some areas, and the jump between say, green and red, was quite noticeable
The amount of zombies (Being fixed, so I won't deduct)
The water in the school. I know this isn't your fault, blame Valve for that. I personally would've made a new vmt and changed the properties so it didn't slow you down, sure, it won't feel like water, like you're running through a brush, but thats all I can think of really.
Amazing campaign, very enjoyable, and I hope to see more from you guys!
Oh my goodness, that volcano was fantastic
The lava textures were superb
Custom stuff, such as the lighthouse and buildings
Cubemaps made the map look even better
Added an intro
Detailed map, didn't feel empty as such, except for the part up the elevator (In the cons part)
Skybox was awesome
Had no lag issues
I watched the flowing lava when I got to the top of the elevator for a while, pondering how you did that, lol
Supplies were few but fair, I didn't exactly need any more supplies.
The bridge collapse was awesome.
The vehicles falling into the lava were simple yet effective touches.
The bridge collapse felt like it could've used some env_shake, more for the feel of an earthquake, even though it probably wouldn't make much difference if this was real life.
The water at the end caught me off guard, I wondered why Ellis suddenly died and then realised it was because he walked back into it.
I didn't find a melee weapon til the finale area, might've have gotten unlucky though.
The area to the right of the buildings when you go up the elevator was bare, it could've had a couple of buildings in the front so it makes it less empty, other than that one part of the skybox though, every other part was awesome!
I loved this map, it was nice to see a map like this come out of the blue, and yeah, good luck with the competition!
Brilliantly designed spaghetti junction.
Brushwork is fantastic and it very realistic.
Finale area was awesome, especially the diner.
The disasters were done very nicely.
Intro was well done and it's cool to use it as a safehouse of sorts.
Supplies were just the right amount.
Bots didn't fail with the lava.
Well optimised for the scale for the map
The intro brush that hangs around after the intro has finished.
It may be confusing finding the way for some people, I did get lost once or twice.
Fantastic map, very much worth a download, and I hope you do well in the competition! (Version 5 review, I haven't tried 6 yet)
Very detailed maps
Love the transition from day to night
Not too long, not too short
Pretty unique panic events
Urban campaign, love it
Scavenge finale, don't see many of those
The Ice Cream van
(For the L4D1 version:
First map with a scavenge finale
Use of L4D2 props
I honestly cant think of any bad things to say about this. The only minor nitpick I have is sometimes you may get 2 tanks at the train event, but that's the director's fault for adding the extra one.
Most definitely one of my favorite L4D1 and L4D2 campaigns, I have played this one many times.
The textures, music and 'mechanics' all felt like I was in a Crash Bandicoot world
The thing I love most about this campaign is the variation of different settings.
Use of uncommon infected
Tnt, nitro, jump boxes
Custom tank skin
The cut scenes were well done
It had a storyline
I got missing skybox textures in map 2, 4, and 5, not sure if that's just me though
The arena event in map 2 seemed a bit tough, because of the 2 simultaneous chargers (twice), hunters, the 3 witches and horde, I failed on easy lol
On map 4 the zombies liked to get caught on the Nitro
The big brother intro was...interesting
There also seemed to be a lot of weapons and items, not a lot of ammo either.
Awesome campaign! Despite the small cons it's a very fun campaign. I'm assuming there's an easter egg somewhere thats to do with the gnome, but I dropped it D:. Great work man, nice to see this released!
I'm not a big lover of rural campaigns, but this one was awesome!
Really good brushwork
Had no problems with NAV
Multiple ways to choose where to go
I can see how it would be awesome in VS
The name, brilliant!
Had the balance between fun and challenging
I would've liked to have seen a daytime level, but the dark atmosphere is good anyway
Wish it was a bit longer!
Awesome campaign from start to finish, would definitely recommend checking out.
So many custom textures and models
Mall is very well done
Ability to restart the 1,000,000 part
Hank's voice acting was excellent
Awesome intro and outro
Seeing as it seems like a problem with other campaigns, was there supposed to be a helicopter in map 1 in the intro and it's just invisible? Won't take any points off that.
The communication between hank and the survivors was very one sided
Felt like the finale was too easy getting to the roof
Amazing campaign, well done, and looks gorgeous, would recommend to anyone.
Awesome rural maps, I'm not a fan of them myself but this kept me interested.
Awesome panic events
Intro and outro were well done.
Finale is a little dangerous from tanks, I got insta-killed when knocked off =/
Also, I got smokered and in the middle of the finale (Where that little bridge is) and bots didn't help, but then again, bots are terrible anyway :P
Epic, truly epic, I got shivers when I completed it
Challenging, really requires teamwork
L4D1 survivors helping out
The models and sounds made really nice editions
An ending! Of sorts :P
Teleporting bodies function!
While it's challenging, it can be annoying with the amount of supplies. After retreating back inside and the stables are blocked off, no ammo, or minigun is available for what seemed like ages, ended up trying to fight hordes with melee weapons and pistols.
Sometimes there were wayyyy to many SI, I counted once, 2 chargers, 2 tanks, boomer, spitter and jockey, which does leave it quite unfair on the survivors
This is a survival map like no other, and it's one I'd play again. I'm not really a fan of survival maps myself but yeah, it can be tons of fun, but frustrating at times. Great job!
The intro, it gave me the shivers
Custom props, models etc
So much detail
Finale is tough, a bit anticlimactic when a tank knocks you off the final stretch and it's an instant death.
Would've been cool to see the Nou Camp (Unless it's actually in there and I'm blind :P), but that would be a tough thing to create :P
