      Pros:

      - Great foggy atmosphere; really keeps to Silent Hill theme
      - Puzzles that are much like the ones you'd find in the game.
      - Great layout.
      - Day and night cycle, which increased the eery horror theme.
      - Intriguing as every time I came away from it, when I back, I had to continue just to see what happened next.
      - Brilliant jump scare (which I wish I had videoed!)
      - Long campaign.

      Cons:

      - The long campaign got tedious at times.
      - It was hard to navigate around, especially in the first chapter. It was hard to work out what street you were on.
      - Kept losing the safe room in the first chapter which made it more tedious
      - Started off playing with one other person and ended up having to ask two more to help us work out some of the puzzles.

      Conclusion:

I really enjoyed this map. My friend is an avid Silent Hill fan, so when I started playing it, i had to show it him. He was very impressed also. I really want to play more maps like this, so maybe a Silent Hill 2?!?!??! Keep up the good work! -0.5 because of the tediousness and (few) arguments it caused between us, but still fun, none the less!

      Pros:

      Awesome detail.
      Foggy atmosphere.
Hard puzzles that keep your mind going.
Enemy characters in the Silent Hill game.
I can tell how much work you put in into this map, it's like i new level of hard work.
      Creepy atmosphere
First l4d map that needs to remember locations.
      Has a day-and-night cycle.

      Cons:

Extremely long, don't play this if you tired.
1st map and i'm mind!@#$ed, even with the help of a guide.
      Bots are unintelligent.
It's not very realistic to have a town covered with locked doors.
Not enough soundtracks from Silent Hill

      Conclusion:

Well author don't sweat when you see the cons, becuase every map has it's own cons, i like the thick fog too. It's awesome. Nice copy of Silent Hill. Insane Amount Of Awesomeness Put In This Map! Sorry if i didn't put a 10, becuase every map is not perfect.

A lot of work. Conscientious work. Meticulous work. Very well built.
      Not too easy
      Long maps
      Not boring
The fog, like in Silent Hill
      No frills
      Puzzles
      Alternative worlds are great !
The enemies of the game (Numb Body, Siam, Armless Man or Lying Figure, Double Head, ...)

      Cons:

not enough open doors, this is frustrating
many bugs when the distances are large (the lengh of view)
      bots are very stupid
not enough music of Silent Hill
not enough ambient noises of Silent Hill

      Conclusion:

      For me :

Very good campaign ! very respectful. A big job.
It is a campaign made for fan of Silent Hill as "Silent Hill: Otherside of Life", I highly recommend these both campaigns.
Thank you Leafo, your work is a great pleasure !

Adding new models and new sounds for the specials of your campaign "Silent Hill : otherside of life", it would be great !

      Pros:

-a decent copy of silent hill
      -requires planning and careful play
      -some custom props
      -lots of maps

      Cons:

      -unbalanced
      -lots of bugs
-some parts are disorientating due to heavy dark
      -missing textures
-missing final touch or the final polish
-bots are stuck or spawned incorrectly
-story is just to make gameplay longer

      Conclusion:

It's obvious that a lot of work was put in this campaing, but I can't help the feeling that it's largely unfinished. For example: you can see where the world ends if you jump on the carbage can and look over the fence. On some parts the invisible wall stops you and that is never a good thing. It has lots of bugs as said before, and several times we had to restart the server in order for map to be playable. Otherwise it was kinda fun to play, but the loads of bugs and poor balance in maps made the score much lower. The campaing also alludes that there should be a story behind gameplay, but it's really not necessary because it's just "pick up that thing and then go to the next thing". Me and my two other buds finished the campaing on expert in about 7 hours, but that depends on your skill. So you may be amused with this campaing but only if you can forgive it's poor performance.

      Pros:

      -custom props
      -custom sounds
      -silent hill chaotic experience
      -challenge
      -fun
      -multiple endings
      -lost of maps

      Cons:

      -missing textures
      -lesser AI bots problems
      -read conclusion
-Nav issues (sometimes hordes didnt spawn )

      Conclusion:

I'm writing this review as silent hill fan. This is something like conversion in Silent Hill 1, so where are supplies in Silent hill 1 there will be supplies in this campaign. And we know sometimes conversions like this don't work. Played this with my team at expert, we needed 7 hours and 30 minutes to beat campaign and we killed around 8000 zombies, there are lots of tank, sometimes 3 tanks per level.Real challenge on expert. In the essence this is endurance campaign, what am I trying to say is that your skill will be tested, how many hordes and tanks can you survive on minimal supplies, and trust me you will be really happy if you see safe room doors. If your team wants a real challenge or you're just Silent hill fan I recommend it.

      - Take place at an original location to SH 1

      Cons:

      - No idea where to head
      - No clues are included

      Conclusion:

We didn't get it. We searched for about one hour to finde the item we need to complete the campaign.

      Pros:

      + Silent Hill
+ FULL SILENT HILL 1 GAME
+ Author did a hell damn huge amount of work
      + Perfect SH1 levels re-creation
+ Most of puzzles were re-created and work the way they worked in SH1
+ Survival: ammunition and supplies are scarce, enemies arent
      + The Silent Hill atmosphere

      Cons:

      - bots act stupid sometimes
      - L4D1
      - A few minor bugs

      Conclusion:

If you are SH fan (doesn't matter what SH game is you favourite) then
      YOU
      MUST
      PLAY
      THIS

      Pros:

Interesting and unique, to say the least
      Good for fans of puzzles

      Cons:

      Lack of weapons
Overly difficult to figure out for the first time
Fog might be a bit much

      Conclusion:

I played this for the first time in expert realism, which was pretty miserable; we wandered all over the map with nothing but one pistol as defense for maybe 90 minutes, restarting several times, before giving up. Next few times I played on easier difficulties with people who knew where they were going, but that couldn't make up for that terrible first impression. Was there something terribly obvious we were missing that made it so difficult to figure out where to go? Probably, but still.

      Pros:

      -Feels like a Silent Hill
-Very Loyal to the actual game
      -Balanced infected
-Low ammounts of ammo and weapons
      -Looooooong
      -Forces teamwork
-Only one map in the first level (Force you to take a piece of paper and copy it so you don't get lost so easily)
-A lot of effort in the construction of the levels.

      Cons:

      -Laberynthic levels
-A lot of places look like the same
      -Ending
-All the zombies spawn in the top of buildings...

      Conclusion:

One of the best campaigns I have ever played. But, seriously, my head hurts, wouldn't you mind to put more maps or places to guide? Like mailboxes or something.

      Pros:

      +Silent Hill themed map
      +Good puzzles
      +Difficult to complete
      +Good remake
      +Creepy parts
      +Survival Horror is here
      +Not much ammo(more survival)

      Cons:

-Even if is SH, the map is VERY DARK for L4D2 (-2)
      -Confusing map (-1)
-Bots annoy you (can't fix, IKR)

      Conclusion:

It's a very good map, but the dark parts make it unplayable on l4d2, well not fully but... you know.

      Pros:

-The spirit of Silent Hill is here.
      -Great job about the architecture.
-Dark and fog are oppressive and claustrophobic... Great!
      -The drop areas are impressive.
      -Puzzles are nice.
-Not easy to still alive. "Too easy game, bad game".(JD)

      Cons:

-Few bugs who need some minor fixes.
-Like in the game (L4D), bots are dumb. Can't possible to fix it !

      Conclusion:

      Great great campaign !
We can really feel the atmosphere of Silent Hill.
The alternative world and fog are great, like in Silent Hill!
The lifetime is as interesting as in the original game. At least we will not fall every two seconds on weapons or a health kit the difficulty of Silent Hill is present because of it.
Puzzles are nice, not as difficult as in Silent Hill, but still very interesting.
Too bad that at times the rendering engine does not follow the quality of work provided.
      A very good/great job! Bravo!

      Pros:

-Experience of the original Silent Hill for four
      -Proffesionally made map
      -Atmosphere is great
-Transforms the game into something more Survival Horror
      -Great to play with friends

      Cons:

      -Puzzles are too hard.
-The "Otherworld" is too dark and fog is too close
      -Bots are useless
      -Scarce resources and weapons
-Weapons can spawn in unreacheble areas (behing a bunch of dumpsters)
      -You can get lost easily

      Conclusion:

If you really want to play this map and have more fun I suggest not playing alone. To cover more ground in the large maps like the first one I suggest splitting up and remember to read the signs! The map is very well made and the scares I had were too many like encountering the witch under the water and fighting off a tank with only a handgun and no health kits. The map may need some minor fixes but it's a great experience.

      Pros:

      -Great atmosphere
      -Very professionally done
-Extremely close to the source material
-Has a decent length even if you have Silent Hill memorized

      Cons:

The only real problem I have is that (well with me anyway) when I go to take a break and start over from the middle of the campaign (for example I start off at the sewers) then it's hard as all get out. Scarce weapon and health placement is rather annoying especially with the sheer amount of tanks.

Bots also have a tendency to teleport at random times and the game is way too dark. Even with my brightness turned up all the way I can't see jack. I understand that you're trying to recreate the game's atmosphere but even it had better lighting.

      Conclusion:

As a fan of Silent Hill, I believe this is a great way for people who haven't played Silent Hill to get a taste of what the game's atmosphere is like. I'm really impressed with how it turned out other than the placement of items and I wish I didn't have to continue from the beginning just to survive. Great job nonetheless.

      Pros:

-Really scary (at last for me xD)
      -Unpredictable
      -Original
      -Long
      -It isn't boring at all
      -Great work you've done

      Cons:

-mmm can't think of anyone now, so i supose there isn't any big con.

      Conclusion:

It is the only one campaign of l4d that has made me have fear, congrats.

      8.5

      Pros:

      - Very long campaign
      - Puzzle sequences
      - Upredictable
      - Really unique feel
      - Multiple endings
      - Good atmosphere, quite akin to Silent Hill (or so I would assume)
      - Varried levels, cramped indoors and spacious outdoors
      - Supprisingly scary
      - Well thought out event sequences
      - Decent level design, scarcity of items encourages thinking outside the box and makes for a really tricky campaign.

      Cons:

      - Too long for a single sitting (final time was around a massive 6 or 7 hours), makes endings hard to achieve (?)
      - Taxing to play but not difficult design-wise
      - Occasional glitches with keys, requires suicide-restarts
      - AI bots 'warp' around occasionally
      - No friendly interaction / dialogue with bots, adding to atmosphere but making the mood artificial
      - Areas too dark or hard to see in
      - Very easy to get lost in exteriors, frustraiting to find out where to go in interiors
      - Odd last puzzles, had to look up solutions (It's the limbs!)
      - The dark ending' has some wierd draw distance issues, all actors can only be seen if they are right in front of you
      - Credits roll is pretty abrupt, messy with the dead air logo

      Conclusion:

I've never played Silent Hill game, but with this L4D mashup I felt like I had. The great recreation (from what I know) of the atmosphere, vibe, and world Silent Hill creates really makes this campaign show how much good effort the creators put into it. That said, the game it is for (being L4D), doesn't deal well with a lot of the ideas invested in the mod (see above), really breaking the traditional L4D feel. I enjoyed the campaign, maybe not enough to make it replayable, and would recommend it to anyone else still into Left 4 Dead.

      Pros:

      it's creepy
      zombies come from everywhere
the layout makes the director highly unpredictable
      zombies come from everywhere
bosses spawn alot, even on places you've already been through
shortage on helpful items, thus making everything valuable
lack of ammo piles, causing dependence on pistols more often

      Cons:

hard to navigate due to lack of landmarks
school puzzles were hard to figure out

      Conclusion:

sadly, idk about the silent hill for PS, so I can't construct a comparison from the base game.. on the other hand, gameplay can be described as a first time playthrough of RE.. the unpredictability of the director, plus the alternate story lines, guarantees a good scare for the next playthroughs to come.

      Pros:

      - Silent Hill
      - Great design both in visuals and map flow
      - Truly a challenge

      Cons:

      - Maybe too much to handle for the casual player

      Conclusion:

A hardcore campaign both in lenght and difficulty, which can be either a good or bad thing. With a skilled pack of friends, however, the campaign offers a rather unique and memorable tour through the Silent Hill we've come to love. Just remember to bring your flashlight and a pan of coffee to endure the horrors ahead :-)

      Pros:

      Very lengthy
      Dark and creepy atmosphere
      Puzzles
Requires serious team work to beat on advanced and expert
      Multiple endings

      Cons:

      Quite difficult
Hard to navigate and find items in dark levels
Can be too lengthy if you try to complete it in one sitting

      Conclusion:

Even with some flaws this map is fantastic and a great homage to Silent Hill.
Highly recommended if you're a Silent Hill fan or looking to play a good lengthy campaign for you and your buddies.

-Pretty accurate on the layout of silent hill and this campaign of it
      -Fog/Darkness is very cool
-Has a lot of replay value to it
      -Difficult

      Cons:

-I do not know how to get the sound fix to work
-Best played with friends because bots have a hard time picking up items for unkwown reasons

      Conclusion:

I recoomend this to everyone. It teaches players to conserve their equipment and stick together. Overall the best custom campaign I have ever played.

      Pros:

      Atmosphere is very impressive
      Solving puzzles
      Teamwork and cooperation
      Suspense
This campaign is long. Worth of your time
      Some very intense moments

      Cons:

      The darkness is too dark
Campaign is confusing in "dark" levels
You may get lost in "dark" levels
Puzzles can be hard. This game is not recommended to those IF you prefer to just "shoot" zombies and not solve puzzles
Playing the campaign in single player is boredom

      Conclusion:

Silent Hill is hard to some and cooperation is needed. Solving puzzles can be hard and you need to use your head in order to solve it. The dark atmosphere brings in the suspense. This campaign is best played with all 4 human players and you need to keep your eyes open so you do not get lost. If you like the suspense or Silent Hill, play this campaign.

End of results.
