This is the best mod yet. There are some great mutation games here, including the opportunity to practice your versus skills against the bots, plus some great solo mutations. I'd give it 100% but nothing is ever perfect, although this comes close.

As a big fan of HL2 it's always good to revisit the game's locations. So this campaign, along with City 17 , brings back happy memories. I've not had any issues worth mentioning. All in all a good campaign with real replay value.

As a big fan of HL2 it's always good to revisit the game's locations. So this campaign, along with City 17 , brings back happy memories. I didn't have any of the issues some people have noted but on the first play-through, which was with bots only, Zoe completely ignored the fact that a smoker was throttling me! Played it through several times with friends though and all has been fine. The finale on advanced is pretty tough. The tanks didn't just run at the big gun as some people have reported but chased us, as they should, and there were loads of CI from all directions. All in all a good campaign.

This is a very  good campaign and is a definite keeper. The only downsides are the length and the finale. You need plenty of time if you want to complete this, and the first map is much longer than the others, which makes it feel somewhat unbalanced. Also, after what has gone before the finale looks a bit flat and is relatively easy. Good but could have been great.

It's clear from the moment it loads that this campaign has been designed by games students and professionals. It oozes detail on a par with the original Valve campaigns and plays exceptionally well. Great stuff.

This campaign is near perfect in style, pacing, and design. There's a good mix of environments and weather conditions. Perhaps the only thing I might mention is that the run through the horde to the first safe house is actually more difficult than the finale, which is nicely designed but a little easy.

Only that the crescendo events are a bit too similar.

Conclusion:

This is a good campaign that only disappointed for the one reason: too much running through the horde. I prefer a little more variation in the crescendo events myself. The finale is tough - only beaten it once so far when playing with random players. Worth playing without a doubt.

If you like urban maps with lots of street scenes (and I do) then you should like this campaign. Streets and alleys are the perfect settings for zombie whacking! On SP Advanced this is quite a challenging campaign but is doable. It should be possible on Expert with other players. If I can get a team together to play it I'll let you know. Thoroughly enjoyable stuff.

This is promising to be an excellent campaign. I tend to prefer campaigns that combine external and internal locations but the fact that this is almost entirely set in the CEDA facility is mitigated by its good design and gameplay balance. I have no doubt my score for this will increase considerably on final release.

Bots sometimes seemed confused by Jockeys and took a long time to start shooting when I was being ridden by one!
Slightly disappointing finale

Conclusion:

I really enjoyed this campaign. The maps are varied and the pacing of horde and special infected attacks is good. This campaign also has a good cohesive feel -- each map feels like a natural progression from the last. Also good to see Bill and the team back in L4D2 (nothing against Coach and all but the L4D1 survivors are more interesting). The only downside is the finale, which felt a little flaky after the good solid maps that came before. This is one to play over and again -- gonna set up an online game tonight!

A great campaign that is pretty tough in Single Player Advanced mode. The maps look great and are well varied. The only letdown was that the bots sometimes hung back for long periods and occasionally wandered off for no reason -- clearly not an issue when playing with other people. Otherwise a top campaign.

Special Infected occurrences not well balanced
Difficulty with bots not getting on the crane in map 4 (only 1 got on. The other 2 stayed put and were killed by the horde)

Conclusion:

This is a very well designed and good looking campaign with a wide variety of settings. The only letdown was on a technical level. In the 3rd map (Old Town) only one tank spawned and he got stuck below a ledge and just stood there ranting! He did this twice in succession and was easy meat. And then in the finale there were 4 tanks in very quick succession. Also, on one occasion, two Smokers and two Hunters spawned simultaneously and so close together they almost fell over each other. Despite this, this is a great campaign and deserves a high score for the imaginative settings alone.

The only real problem is one of balance. The third map (Nightclub) is way too long and is quite tough, especially when the Tank spawns in the club and you still have CI to deal with. There are not enough health packs to get through this map when playing SP Advanced. Now, I've only played this in single player so far and Advanced setting was pretty much undoable on this map (OK on the others). I'll play it online and amend my review as necessary, but I would suggest that this map should have been split in two. As for the Finale -- well, after the onslaught of Nightclub the Finale seems almost like a walk in the park!
