Pros:
Based on Half Life 2. Maintains the Half Life look and feel. Extraction process worked just fine in the past. Custom music. No missing models or textures (in the past). Finale was creative.
Cons:
Might need updated one more time due to changes Valve brought on after Sacrifice. Although it's 7 maps, still feels a bit short. Extraction process may be a bit confusing for some. Just people abusing the rating system because they don't like being different or having fun in L4D.
Conclusion:
Felt like posting a new review again since my last one was lost. Still not giving up or abandoning this campaign, would probably continue to play it more again if it ever came to L4D2. I remember loading it up in L4D2 once and it worked just fine. But due to all the crap Valve changes, it might need some work if brought to L4D2.

Pros:
+Original concept +Unique finale idea +New survival content +Half-Life 2 references
Cons:
-No tank music. -No preparation time for the finale. -Finale can be confusing to those who haven't played L4D2. -Bots don't know how to avoid a moving train. -Bots don't take weapons and medkits at the starting area.
Conclusion:
While this is an interesting mod, especially for those who have played HL2, numerous bugs make it a less-than-enjoyable experience. Consider downloading for a use or two if you have HL2, but otherwise skip it.

Pros:
Great reconstruction of half life 2 very accurate and is brilliant for left 4 dead. Although all the campaign maps are short it takes a while to do. Finale is intense. Textures when imported look great and has items from half life 2 (not for use obviously.)
Cons:
Installation took a while but I personally didn't find it difficult and felt it was worth it. Finale wasn't very clear although it didn't take long to figure out it isn't the easily found. Slippery floor is a bit to slippery more so than I remember in half life 2 you can stand on it and go flying. Witches are hard to get past since they seem to block the path.
Conclusion:
This campaign is great even though there are a number of Cons in it that can never be helped I enjoyed playing through this and will want to revisit it sometime soon this is perfect for fans of Half Life 2!

Pros:
+ launched in l4d2 without problems. + details. + does not seem to City 17.
Cons:
- short maps.
Conclusion:
even though I have not played half-life, yet I can judge from similar carvings for l4d and alien swarm that the author tried to make the similarity. it would be nice if the author has filled in for a good sharing of texture in vpk. Unfortunately, I have not yet passed the last map. the author, not seven and 9 maps in the campaign.

Pros:
Fantastic recreation of City 17 The most unique Finale I have ever played Loved the way that MOST of the campaign felt natural
Cons:
The random respawn "box-o-doom" on the Rooftops level, it totally made no sense. The Finale could use some better audio ques to let you know that you're doing it right. I was stuck for like ten minutes waiting for the first gate to open outside of the radio room. Although I understand the reason behind it, I personally didn't like having to download a special program just to play this campaign. ALMOST made me not download.
Conclusion:
If you are looking for a long, fun, and nostalgic (HL2 came out almost 6 years ago) campaign, LOOK NO FURTHER!!!!! There are only a few jarring notes in this pack, like the "BOX-O-DOOM" just outside the safe house in the Rooftops map, along with the elevator ride in the same map being cut. Now, I understand that a 1:1 recreation isn't possible, I just don't understand some of the decisions made in the remaking of this map. That being said, the adaptation is roughly 99% true to the original works, minus the lab area, but I wouldn't begin to tell you how to incorporate that into a L4D campaign and make it feel right.

Pros:
Aswome if you're a half life lover the fire barrels are nice kinda nice to have some idea where you are going original finale (sort of) 2 thums up for the tank music
Cons:
big con, having to extract the files before playing levels were sort of short
Conclusion:
The Half Life series are my total favorite game (s), so it is nice to see a map done combining these two great games. I can't understand why the score is so low. If it is just because of the installation issues, get real. the installation was way easier than installing the maps before the vpk format came out. I was a little leary about downloading a program I have never heard of onto my PC, but it was fine. Follow the instructions everyone, and you will be fine. Anyways, a great map, fun to play. Great job x6herbius.

Pros:
- Lots of interesting gameplay - the HL2 envioronments are a lot less straightforward than L4D ones - even though those who play this will have played HL2, it was still an interesting challenge to navigate. - Lots of neat little touches - the "extra ambience sound effects" (won't spoil) you added in the apartments were awesomely creepy, and the recreation of several memorable HL2 moments (most notably flaming barrel related) were great. - At first I thought the amount of barricades were cheap and wanted more HL2-related horde callers in context with the original game, but as I went on I realised every single one had been placed in a totally unique and different area to defend. There are a lot of choices. I played on advanced with bots and died a couple of times, but then explored a bit more, found different spots and suceeded much more smoothly. Was very satisfying to explore and experiment. - The finale was very unique for the first half, and AWESOME for the second half, great job. - As a bonus, your guide for installation was very clear.
Cons:
- Bots wouldn't respond to items in first room, so they had a pretty hard time on map 1. They also got stuck in a couple of areas with ladders and as a result cost me the round thanks to a single smoker. - Some maps are stupidly short in comparison to others, but this is understandable as you can only work with what HL2 gave you. - I admit I was dissapointed we didn't get to go through Kleiner's lab, but I realise why you had to change that. - Tank music didn't play in levels or finale. - Alas, it is a slight fiddle to install which is a shame. - This'd also be awesome in versus but I see it doesn't support that according to the icons.
Conclusion:
To put it simply to anyone reading - THIS CAMPAIGN IS WORTH THE EFFORT OF INSTALL. A fantastic port of HL2's opening chapters, and downright interesting and engaging gameplay throughout. This does not deserve 100, but I am going to vote it as such, since it sure as hell doesn't deserve what it has at the time of writing (54).

Pros:
-Very detailed for this type of game (lighting, mood, etc) -The new paths you go through compared to how you originally went in HL2 -Nice intro for the start
Cons:
-Maps feel too short at times -Bot refuse to pick up guns and first aid in the start of the first map -Can be a bit too dark, making it easy to miss ladders
Conclusion:
I enjoyed playing this and the process to get the files into L4D was pretty painless. I liked the feeling of the whole place falling into ruin from the zombies. However, a few things did pull me from the mood. For starters, the AI survivors would not pick up the guns or health in the start of the campaign no matter what I did, so I had to use the console to give them stuff. I do like how you tried to make the linear path from HL2 flow smoothly, but I think you could spread the safe rooms a bit farther apart and cut down on 1 or 2 maps to make them feel a bit longer. While I liked the darkness, some areas were just too dark and I got a bit lost because the ladder I needed to go to was hidden in the darkness.
