well you need the .bsp of the map you want to edit, get it online its easy, you can get vmex by searching for vmex map decompiler, you should find a video about how to use it, once you get the .vmx file open it in hammer and edit away! hope this helped!

Cool, I had the idea of converting arena maps to koth map, but, what the heck, I don't really have the time to convet them as i can open these maps in Source SDK, can you tell me how?
