      Pros:

      - Accurate Instructions
- Rename to the skin model
- Makes the game less quirky 
- Very easy to use if you get the hang of it.

      Cons:

      - Deletion of all resource files of the VPK files (didnt do it)
- Takes a while to understand or to see the faults

      Conclusion:

      Hard to describe but your finding for this is very impressive. 
I think deleting the resource files is a bit too time consuming, I just set the priority level.

      Pros:

      Excellent - nice description.
After watching the video a few times I was able to do this myself.
I am not at all an expert on computers - I know MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and nothing at all about modding.
This video made it possible to modify some of my vpks files.

      Cons:

      This worked brilliantly on my PC - but when I imported the vpk files to my Mac it refused to work.
Any ideas on that?
On one file (the circular sniper scope) I tried to rename it but the name still won't apply.  Very very small cons, though.

      Conclusion:

      I know nothing of modding or game-mapping - would love to, but it all seems too technical and I don't have much time to give to it.  This video was just the right length, and gave real instructions on how to do this  yourself.

I could actually make multiple "name change" add ons with differing names, and apply them as  I like (on PC).  You have to quit out of the game and got back in to reset the menus.
Any idea if a particular skin (say the million Rochelle skins I have) could be re-assigned to any other characters?
Is that too tough for an novice like me to do?  Or if it is simple to put in custom icons for characters?
