Colorful, Fun, Good Environments.

This is a nice map - really well done in my opinion.  The contrasting, varied colors make it an impressive landscape, plus there are varied interesting (but small) tasks to complete that showed originality.  In eight plays I have only had it crash once (loading map 2).  Really fun to play, not too hard, and works well in single player.  There are a variety of good things to say about it, and some minor criticisms.
Pros:  Three maps, not too long, nice haunted house, tasks and Earthquakes.  Bots follow along and don't get stuck, for the most part, except at the end.  Very different and original maps and environments - the transition didn't always make a lot of sense - but that wasn't a problem for me.  Ample supplies throughout! (may also be a con)
Cons:  Map 1:  Bots seem to get stuck on burning car when I go to pick up ladder.  First time around key was difficult to find (spawned in furthers location; seems to spawn only in 3 places).  Map2:  Love the haunted house, but there is not even a panic event after you hit the switch to open the secret door.  Should be something daunting or difficult about the house - special effects are awesome there, otherwise.  Plus, at end in the crypts the sand pit traps aren't much fun - if you manage to get stuck in them.  That's it - curtains.  A bit too many special weapon spawns.  Map 3:  Bots have at least once failed to go into safe room to end the game.  Bot entry into safe room at finale needs work.
Other than that - really nice work.

The Too Dark Wood.

Nice attention to detail.  This map feels very polished, and in many places is fun to play, but overall my reaction is it is the "too Dark" wood.  I've tried this map on single player several times now, and invariably I end up in some places that is too dark and there is too little sense of direction.  A few orange arrows or clear sense of direction would have helped.  Places look too similar in many cases, and I don't enjoy walking around in a dark maze.  If you have the patience to find your way in the dark you might like this campaign, but I have to reluctantly part ways with it.  The real killer was the prison level for me - too dark, too uniform, and ultimately too uninteresting. The prior level, the lab, was sensible and fun to play.  Not so with the prison.  Dreary - drab, apocalyptic to be sure, and normally I think I have a pretty good sense of intuition and direction in these maps, but this was was too dark, too confusing.  Textures seem to work fine on my PC, but on the Mac I still saw pink and black checks, i.e. missing textures.  Not sure if that is simply a PC/Mac thing.  Nice work, but not for me.

Pros:

Nicely done map - expansive, fairly detailed.
Theme park setting is nice for change.
Transitions to different parts of park.
Supplies adequate.
No major crashes or bot/AI issues detected.
Finale is novel twist.

Cons:

Overall a bit too easy.
Too few zombies to shoot.

Conclusion:

I would agree with others that visually this is an excellent map (9.5 rating or thereabouts), and I experienced no problems on 7 play-throughs on single player.  Overall it is a fun map, but it can get a bit boring with too few zombies to shoot / not enough challenge overall.  A few more targets or a bit more challenge would keep it at a top rating.

Pros:

Nicely done environments - realistic and varied.
Ample supplies and level of challenge.
Playable as single player - no major glitches.
Have not experienced crashes in 7 game plays.

Cons:

Not many - comparable to Yama, I thought.
Finale can be a bit tedious, but not a disaster.

Conclusion:

I thought that visually this map was one of the best since I played Yama.  It is interesting, challenging enough, varied and engaging.  I have not had any problems with bots or crashes in 7 times on single player.  So I would give it high marks overall.

Pros:

Nice model all around.
Color, shape and finish. 
Realistic character - polished.

Cons:

No real significant problems - face looks a little like another mod, but hardly a major problem.

Conclusion:

Wish I could think to write more - but this is one of the most realistic mods out there.  I hate the anime stuff and prefer the realism - Which Angelaa certainly has become a pro at producing.  Nice work, and hope to see more like it.

Pros:

Original interesting setting - oil rig.
Nice details, no major game-play flaws.
Keeps you interested.
Adequate pick-ups.

Cons:

Level 2 - underwater passage can delay & kill AI bots.
Level 3 - Explosive Barrels room almost impossible to navigate with bots on single player.
Level 4 - without gas-can (pill slot) pick-ups very tedious and extremely difficult.

Conclusion:

A fun campaign - if not for the noted "cons" it would be also  very playable on single player.  Probably meant for co-op play as stated.  If you don't have a "gas can pick-up" mod that shifts the gas cans to the pills slot (and allows you still to fight) the finale is hard and tedious;  subtract 2 from this rating if that is the case.  Also, if the level 3 explosive barrels room were less impossible to traverse on single player with bots I would add 2 points to this rating.  Overall fun, but flawed from a single player point of view.

Pros:

Nice atmosphere, good level of challenge.
Supplies are now  very abundant.
Similar to the classic map - but extended, revised.
Fun to play!
Playable on single player - no detected glitches.

Cons:

There might have been too many ammo drops - but hardly a complaint.

Conclusion:

Dam It 2 was always one of my favorite campaigns, yet the prior difficulty of the finale had been frustrating.  All those old woes are gone, and the new campaign captures all that was good about the original, and makes it a lot more fun to play.  Don't know about perfect scores - far too many "10s" are given on this website, but this is pretty damn close.  Nice job re-editing and polishing a classic map.

Pros:

Interesting at beginning and end, mix of streets and rooms to search.
Supplies were there, but hard to find sometimes.
Didn't encounter significant bugs or issues.
Playable, at times fun.

Cons:

Too long.
Texture / streets became reused and dull - except for beginning and end.
No melee or LFD2 weapons encountered until about mid-way through.  Did not find a magnum till the end.
Some invisible walls uses as barriers.
At times directions confusing.

Conclusion:

Not sure what to make of this one - playable, didn't find many bugs, but the maps were just too long.
Maps 2-4 I think became a continuum of street-sewers and reused billboards or other textures.
Not bad work, things I like about this campaign - it wasn't too hard, just a bit too long and dull in parts.

Pros:

Playable on SP.
Supplies adequate to good.
Interesting map - nicely laid out.
Right length and overall level of challenge.

Cons:

Last map can be tough on SP.
Finale spawns 4 plus tanks (not all at once) - plus a few too many special infected at the worst times.
Can be a pain in the a** at times.

Conclusion:

Overall I like the map and recommend it.  Interesting map layout and pathways - feels somewhat like crash course but longer, and more challenging in the end.  I'd give it a point higher, but the finale spawn too  many tanks,  plus a few too many special infected.  Hold on to your health kits and be in good shape in the finale.
Overall a good campaign - solid but not perfect.

Pros:

Excellent attention to details.
Nice mod overall.
Look forward to more mods from author.

Cons:

Not a Tekken fan - but don't have to be to appreciate a well-done mod.
So in other words - no real downside.

Conclusion:

Very well done skin, artistically speaking.   Haven't used it much so far, but seems to operate well.
One odd effect in Tumtara Campaign level - skin "mirror mannequin" seems to be invisible.
Not a big deal since it works fine in-game.

Pros:

Overall acceptable level of difficulty.
Some good gauntlet and search/switch events.
Playable on single player, and have not detected any fatal bugs in map that prevent play-through.
Well-supplied, decent mix of melee and shooting.
Middle-length, not too long or short.

Cons:

Invisible furniture in the school should be fixed.  It isn't fatal to the game, but annoying.
Finale lacks variety of supplies, but adequate.

Conclusion:

A fun game, not the best in LFD, but fairly good.  Biggest gripe would be to fix the invisible furnishings and items in the school.  It is playable without those, but it isn't the most polished of games with them.  I'd say 7 to 8 range is probably a decent score for a review.  Fix the invisible items and I'd put in in the 8 range.

Pros:

Fun campaign through underground and tracks.
Well supplied and balanced.
Armory to raid in final map.
Overall visually well-finished.  Like the train station.
Very playable on single player (unless bridge fails)

Cons:

The turning bridge often fails - forcing you to restart from the start - highly annoying.
Author might consider releasing an update with no turning bridge, just an opening gate (keep the bridge fixed -and in place just open a gate across)

Conclusion:

I really do like this campaign, in spite of the turning bridge flaw.  It fails on me about 25% of the time, forcing me to restart the campaign from about 1/2 way through.  That is very annoying, and I could understand a much lower review (6 or 7 range) if that rankles.  If this one flaw were corrected I would give the campaign about a 8.9 or 9.1  I'll settle on 8.4 for now (anyone wonder how arbitrary these numbers are?!)   I like the campaign a lot, but that damn turning bridge does still fail on occasion.  Hope an update is released with a permanent fix to the turning bridge.

Pros:

Space Finale Level - nice moon & earth views and gravity loss at end chamber.
Rocket pad penultimate level.
Adequate supplies and ammo.
Map kept me coming back, in spite of prior problems.

Cons:

Earlier versions had glitches - but they seem to be all, or mostly fixed now.
Bot Fixes AI once formerly stranded.
Intermediate levels can lack a little detail.
Overall cons outweighed by plusses.

Conclusion:

Finally this map has been fixed enough so that I can get through it and give it a better review.  The finale space station is nicely done.  The rocket pad before that also interesting.  Too bad there isn't a spliced-in video clip or link showing the rocket lifting off - would add nice effect.  Intermediate town levels can be a bit repetitive, but overall I liked the campaign.  Most prior bugs seem to be repaired.  Level of difficulty seems to be about right, and fairly well supplied.

Pros:

Nice overall layout.
Good heartbeat effects.
Nice icons for weapons / items.
Not too flashy / not too simple.
Works with no problems.

Cons:

Very few - I used it most of the time as my standard hud.

Conclusion:

Overall I really like this hud.  Heartbeat effect works - straightforward.  No complaints and high praise.  Is there a way to retain the character's name (instead of my avatar) in the game?  I've modified the hud for my own use, including custom icons, but I'd like to retain the character's name instead of my avatar.

Pros:

Can carry all items!
Don't have to choose - defib or healthkit; pipebomb or molotov!
Now you can carry it all!

Cons:

Inventory slots 6 to 10 (additional) cannot be seen on-screen, but that is not the fault of the author.

Conclusion:

Thanks for a brilliant, and much-needed mod.  Now you can carry everything!  While the additional inventory slots cannot be seen, this is not a major problem, nor can the author be faulted.  I've always wanted a mod like this and thought it should be standard on single player.  Now it is.
I recommend strongly combining this with the "gas (& cola) pickups" - I just did making my own mod for personal use.

Pros:

Nice replacement if you have female skin.
Replaces most all of the dialogue entirely with Zoey's.
Easy to install and turn on & off.

Cons:

Sometimes had difficulty getting some version of this mod (for Ellis / Nick) to work properly.
Renaming the mod to change its rank in the add-on list helped.

Conclusion:

The mod does what it says - replaces the character's voice with Zoey's.  It works well, installs easily, and replaces the character's dialog almost flawlessly.  Some custom character lines and scripts may be retained according to the game, other be admitted, but you have to expect that realistically.
Overall works well - and very high recommended.  Shuts on off easily in add ons list.

Pros:

Nice short map., 20-30 minutes.
Fun to play - rooftops and sewers.
Weapons and supplies throughout.
Stable gameplay - has not crashed on me.
Bots work fine.

Cons:

A bit short.
A bit easy.
No tank at finale.

Conclusion:

This is a fun, short game.  If there is any flaw, it is that is is a bit on the easy side, and it is missing tanks in the finale.  If updated, I would add about 5 minutes to the game length, slightly expanding the scope & complexity of the final map.  Plus, I would add tanks and a few more special infected to make the ending more challenging.
Overall however great work - a nice, simple straightforward mini-campaign.

Pros:

Overall very well done.
Attractive features.
Game needs more Asian skins.

Cons:

Not many really.
In-game icon might be different, but loading-post icon a good choice.

Conclusion:

A well-done skin, complete with in-game icons and names.  Commendable work.  Game needs more Asian skins.  Could it be ported to any of the LFD2 characters?

Pros:

Awesome skin - nicely rendered.
Wonderful female form.
Replaces something other than rochelle or zoey!
Blond hair.  Big chest!

Cons:

Sometimes she carries the axe between her legs (using smart bot AI).
Very little to gripe about at all!

Conclusion:

Send more add-ons.  I like the realistic skins, and you do a awesome job.  Plus, its a skin for someone other than rochelle or zoey.  Awesome work.  

Pros:

Excellent feminine features all around.
Some of best skins on LFD maps.
Like no other.

Cons:

We need more skins like this!
Would have preferred some red hair on her.

Conclusion:

Can't gripe at all about these skins.  Some of the best female skins on LFD maps.  Took a few shots to get this one right, but it is good.  Looking forward to more mods!  (what's next?  Wonder woman for Nick?)

Pros:

Haven't been to Europe lately - but has European feel.
Very nice level design and details - good use of differing colors, textures and environments.
Can be challenging - bu t not too challenging.
Few bugs if any detected.
Good distribution of supplies overall.
Nice ending music / atmosphere overall.

Cons:

Very few.
Finale is not that challenging.

Conclusion:

I am not one to give easy As or cheap 10s, but this campaign is certainly a winner in my view.  Easily an "A."  I played it 7 times at this point, and that seems reasonable to form a judgment about it.  It is a good map - I like playing it, and will go on playing it.  Highly recommended.

Pros:

Nice skin - well done.
Adds an interesting character.
Interesting characters.
Female skin instead of Ellis.

Cons:

Very few - a realistic skin.
Fits in with rest of characters.

Conclusion:

I already have many Rochelle skins - I don't mind this being a replacement for Ellis.  Having the choice, for those who want it, might not be bad. (is that tough?)  Not personally much of a batman or batgirl skin, but this is well-detailed and nicely done.

Pros:

Excellent - nice description.
After watching the video a few times I was able to do this myself.
I am not at all an expert on computers - I know MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and nothing at all about modding.
This video made it possible to modify some of my vpks files.

Cons:

This worked brilliantly on my PC - but when I imported the vpk files to my Mac it refused to work.
Any ideas on that?
On one file (the circular sniper scope) I tried to rename it but the name still won't apply.  Very very small cons, though.

Conclusion:

I know nothing of modding or game-mapping - would love to, but it all seems too technical and I don't have much time to give to it.  This video was just the right length, and gave real instructions on how to do this  yourself.

I could actually make multiple "name change" add ons with differing names, and apply them as  I like (on PC).  You have to quit out of the game and got back in to reset the menus.
Any idea if a particular skin (say the million Rochelle skins I have) could be re-assigned to any other characters?
Is that too tough for an novice like me to do?  Or if it is simple to put in custom icons for characters?

Pros:

Green bottles stand out.  They are more visible.
Sprite label visible from correct angle.

Cons:

Bottle is adequately detailed - but seem a little plain.
Not a big complaint - but could have more detail.

Conclusion:

Nice to have this skin.  Although a little on the plain side, the green color stands out.
Good to have a variety of skins to mix up for the molotov - Budweiser, Heineken, Sprite, etc.

Pros:

It's Budweiser!
Good detail - looks fine.
Better than a plain brown bottle.

Cons:

Though I like Budweiser more, the Green Heineken bottle stands out more in the game.

Conclusion:

A nice replacement skin.  Label / markings could be more apparent from both sides - but the skin works well.
Good addition - and its Budweiser!

More Skins need to be like this - real replacements.
Already dozens of skins that modify her hair / clothes.
This one adds something new.

Biggest confusion - in  "add ons"  this one is named "Juliet" identical with the same skin for Rochelle.  That should be changed if updated release is made.

Conclusion:

More skins like this certainly encouraged.  Dozens of skins simply modify Zoey's hair or clothes - this one adds a new character look, someone completely new, and well done!  For the first time the characters new icon is retained throughout the game and does not "blank out" as a single color on levels subsequent to the first. (not sure why other icons have done this, but they have.  This one does not).  Would be perfect 10 if new name and voice were added, but who expects perfection?   Nicely done!

Pros:

Red hair color is very striking, one of the most eye-catching features.  Well done!
Lithe - feminine.
Again a nice face.

Cons:

Arms may seem to slim in spots, especially near elbows.
Legs also slim -but the slender limbs do add to the overall lithe looks.
Maybe scale back that flap about the chest.
In-game icon works (but again like others it seems to blank out after 1 level, not sure why).
Name replacement?

Conclusion:

Not really familiar with who this character is based on, but I'll say it is artistically well-done.  Few red-heads in the game and this is one of the best ones I have seen.  Facial animations, expression would add definitely (along with Mistress Spencer characters), but that is like complaining about frosting on the cake.
Please add in identical skins that can sub in for Ellis, Coach, Nick, Zoey or other characters.  I'd certainly use them.

Pros:

Awesome feminine form - nicely done.
All features again really on target.
Vivid color, shapely, and fits in well with other characters.
Game needs more skins like this - especially for other characters.

Cons:

Small in comparison with overall artistic success of the character.
Most significant:  Left eye is pink  - fix or maybe lose eye-patch and sub-in blue eyes (?)

Conclusion:

Overall want to see more skins like this - I would download them for other characters such as Coach, Ellis, Nick, Zoey, Bill - whatever.  Nice to have flexibility to apply skins in different slots.

Pros:

Excellent facial features, and detail.
Overall shapely, attractive character.
Vivid colors - very well done.
Can't say enough really.

Cons:

Very minor in comparison to advantages.
Limbs may seem a bit slim, especially in comparison with hefty chest, but I'm not complaining (see conclusion)
Hud / gameplay icon would be nice.
Name of vpk is identical with Mistress Spencer - can be confusing while in add-ons & would be nice to change it.

Conclusion:

Author knows how to do a shapely female form, and with very nice facial features.  I would download identical skins to replace Ellis, Coach, Nick or even Zoey.   There are so many Rochelle skins, why not use some of these excellent skins to sub in for other characters?

Pros:

An overall nice skin - realistic.
Creates an attractive and interesting replacement character.
Seems to fit well in place beside other characters.

Cons:

Game-play icon goes blank after 1 level of play.
Characters "incapacitated icon" look a little blurry - head area might be cleaned up a little.
A little pale - could used some color.

Conclusion:

Overall a nice skin - like the realism.  Face looks pretty realistic.  Could use more like these to replace other characters.

Pros:

A short campaign, not too challenging, but fun.
Windy route over rooftops and urban setting.
Supplies a plenty - probably too much (also cons)
Haven't detected any major game play bugs.

Cons:

Not many -  if you like a short, not-too-challenging campaign in an urban setting.
Supplies were a bit over-abundant.
No tank music in finale; but the tank often approaches from far off and is not too hard to spot.

Conclusion:

Occasionally a game should be shorter, fun, and not too challenging.
This game is that, and offers some winding paths over an urban setting to a stadium finale.
Overall I enjoy it very much, and have found few gameplay bugs or problems.

Pros:

Nice visual rendition, no substantial complaints.
Quality seems on par with other LFD characters.
Realism - nice looks.  Well done.

Cons:

Face animations?  
Replacement character icon.

Conclusion:

I'm not really a tech-oriented person, but from a LFD enthusiastic gamer's point of view this is a nice quality skin.  Would be nice if it had icon replacement.  Also would like to see an identical skin to replace ellis, coach - to have more female game balance.

Pros:

A very well done map.
Good effects, and detail.
Ample supplies and weapons.
Very playable, fun map.
Very few bugs, from a game-play point of view.
Multiple paths.

Cons:

Not many.
Sometimes bots have difficulty boarding escape craft.
Mounted guns that point nowhere (seems common in LFD).
A bit dark (?)

Conclusion:

Probably deserves a higher rating than I'm giving it - don't know why dark campaigns don't grab me as much, but this one is not too dark.  Overall well done and very playable campaign.

Pros:

Excellent gorges - well-made / good use of heights.
Interesting flow of maps from gorges to stairs.
Nice mix of sniping and melee combat.
Overall one of most interesting maps to me.
Not too long; a bit on the short side.
Abundant health and ammo / supplies.

Cons:

Very few.  
Perhaps too many weapons throughout - some areas are over-abundantly stocked.
Bots don't seem to take health kits in river gorge (map 2 I think)
Lewis repeats over and over "stairs are a good workout."
Finale is a bit cramped.

Conclusion:

Clearly one of the best campaigns out there - visually interesting, well made - nice "vertical" campaign.  One of my personal favorites.  The game tends toward a shorter length, but overall very well done.

Pros:

Looks very detailed.  Clearly visible.
One of the best molotov skins.
Green bottle stands out from rest.

Cons:

No cons really - not a Heineken fan - but the bottle looks great in the game.

Conclusion:

Overall and excellent skin.  On which I've used most of the time.  You don't have to like Heineken to like this skin!

Pros:

Interesting maps - twist and turns in the path.
Urban - inside and outside, plus rooftops.
LFD1 survivors.
Always offers a challenge somewhere.
Playable - no game-stopping bugs or inadequate supply distribution.
Last map "safe truck" (pickup) makes it playable.

Cons:

Map 1 is too short; plus one bot always fails to pick up med kit at start.
Map 3 ladders and descent through rooftop holes can be a bit tricky at times.
Some bugs in map - on train, and with tanks getting fatally stuck on occasion.
Last map "safe truck" can make it too easy.

Conclusion:

This is a pretty fun map, the few bugs don't make it unplayable. On the finale I used to get killed quite a bit until I read another reviewers account of the "safe pickup truck" at the end.  It is fairly safe - from special infected - only common and tanks seem to get at you there.  Overall this map can be challenging, but playable, and I've always found it interesting.  Not much story line, but overall goo work it seems.

Pros:

Good mix of melee, snipers & overall zombie mayhem.
Comic book effect unique.
Ample supplies / weapons placement good.
No bugs detected (in 8 games)
Right level of difficulty.

Cons:

Alarm-gauntlet events in 2nd and 3rd map were too short.  Saferoom was too near the alarm.
Final gauntlet event (before finale) was challenging, however (sometimes can be a pain).
Evil-dead alarm even in church cemetery can be skipped - should be required for completing the map.

Conclusion:

Overall this campaign is well-done, and a good mixe of sniping, melee action, and panic events.  First two alarm-guantlet events were too short, however.   Visually interesting and engaging, this campaign should not get old fast.  Well done.

Pros:

Wounds are more evident.
More blood and gore.
Definitely a plus, visually.

Cons:

Get to take it for granted too soon.
Spatter is very wide - but good effect.

Conclusion:

Overall it make a grisly zombie-killing more of what it should be.  Certainly recommended.

Pros:

Worked well (2nd download)
Nice color detail.
Makes game more colorful & interesting.
No detected conflicts with other mods yet.

Cons:

First time I downloaded this mod it didn't work well.

Conclusion:

Nice color icons for the players.  The first time I downloaded one of these mods it didn't work well.  After one level there was just a solid color and no image.  Don't know why.  Now this add-on is working perfectly for me and adds nice color to the game.

Pros:

Real deviations / modification from normal death toll.
Winding, alternate routes; did require some imagination.
Challenging.

Cons:

Bell tower - how does one destroy the bell?   
Occasionally a bit confusing, winding.  Too much so.
LFD2 survivors - why?   Starting poster uninteresting.
Clamtoll?  Awful name.  "Riverside"  "Death Toll Remake" - why clamtoll?

Conclusion:

While Death Toll is one of my favorite LFD games, I don't see how this is an improvement - mainly due to the finale of the third map at the church tower.  I unloaded with the mounted machinegun till the barrel overheated at least 3 times  - all to no effect.  Seem silly, and frustrating.
Deviations on the third map became a bit confusing - campaign became somewhat jumbled.

Pros:

Excellent replacement for hunting rifle.
With other mod / script added - ammo capacity is 20.
Looks much better, makes hunting rifle more interesting.

Cons:

None detected so far.
160 rounds ammo reserve would be nice; but possible?  Don't know.

Conclusion:

Overall excellent skin for rifle.  With the other mod/script - ammo capacity is 20.
Have downloaded other boring rifle skins, or skins that didn't work.
This one worked well right away.

Pros:

Much better look to LFD2 display.
Items well detailed - operates very well.
Well colored, illustrated.

Cons:

Some items no so fully illuminated or visible - occasionally difficult to tell if they are in inventory or not.

Conclusion:

Downloaded this and have been using it ever since - looks very nice and adds color and detail to LFD2 displays.
Would turn back to the old look.

Pros:

Adds a nice touch of realism.
Items from everyday life experience.
Not too abundant.

Cons:

None really.
Clarity on some items might be improved.

Conclusion:

Good mod.  No problems.  Does exactly what it says and adds a touch of realisms to the game.

Pros:

All maps are very detailed - visually rich.
Challenging, but not impossible.
Recreates remake of "Dawn of Dead" very effectively.
Fun to play - interesting story line.
Supplies / weapons very adequate.

Cons:

Some of tasks can be a bit tedious / slow.
Some parts can be confusing at first, e.g. - panelled office maze.  Finale path initially a bit confusing.
Finale fortress - well  armed, but very brief time there.  Somewhat confusing.
If tank spawns in back of truck on map 2 it can be lights out real quick, especially if he flips the car on the group.

Conclusion:

Overall one of the more detailed maps - haven't encountered many bugs.  It is the right level of challenge and a good game.  Finale is challenging.

Pros:

Maps 1 & 2 are very well done - excellent, no complaints.
Plane beginning and great wall maps very interesting, detailed, fun to play.
Nice to have an occasional, short 3-map campaign as nicely composed as this one.

Cons:

Occasionally hard to find 4th parachute.
Some point out the wall is too small - maybe - not my biggest gripe.
Ending is agonizing - getting ice to melt with clumsy bots while defending against undead.

Conclusion:

Overall one of my favorite maps - barring the ending.  My biggest gripe - the finale.  Getting the ice to melt, working the clumsy bots, while fending off hoards of undead and tanks is a real pain.  Rarely ever get it on the first try, even on normal difficulty.  Dont mind difficult games, but finale shouldn't be this complicated on normal difficulty.  Make ice less slippery, bots more cooperative, or fewer gas cans to melt ice.  Tasks can be interesting, but the finale task is always just too clumsy.

Pros:

Duplicates the initial LFD game fairly well (not much of a modification)
Church guy absent (?)
One of the best sniper games.
No gauntlet - as in revised LFD2 (?)

Cons:

Missing sniper opportunity at church tower.   Why should all the zombies be standing on the church?  Some seem to be standing on air.  Much prefer the sniper op. in original at church tower.

Yes - too many throwable and bile, I agree there.

Conclusion:

Death Toll was one of my favorite in LFD.  The official remake includes a new gauntlet event that I am not sure I like that much.  This map recreates the original very well (it isn't that much of a modification) - preserving the opportunity for trained sniper fire, if you like that.  Not nearly as much melee with the gauntlet event at the end of the town missing.  Plus - the infected church guy is absent - good / bad?  Wasn't too attached to him to begin with.
I agree with other critics - far too many throwable items, which makes the game a bit too easy.
IN SUM:  The official remake has made the original LFD game a bit harder, with less sniper opportunity.   This "modified" version isn't much modified, and is a bit too easy due to overabundance of throwables. 

Pros:

A really nice scope effect.
I agree - better than original, I think.

Cons:

Not much - mod is "unspecified" / not named in add ons list, but not a huge problem.

Conclusion:

Definitely recommend this 

Pros:

I liked the original Parish - and like this one just as much.
Well done night effects.
Slight variation on paths and supplies.
Right level of challenge.

Cons:

Perhaps removed too many of the supplies from the original?  - but overall very comparable.
Not really many cons to think of ... aside from fewer weapon and supply options.

Conclusion:

If you like the original Parish, plus the night time effects, certainly you should like this map.  The original Parish could be "over-supplied" with health kits and weapon options - here some of those are removed.  But overall supplies are plentiful enough to make the game slight more challenging than the original.
Well done.

Pros:

Nice map detail.
Haunted House detail and Moria level design.

Cons:

Too many hoards of infected and tanks at once - especially during Moria.
Fell into pit trap that neither killed me nor had any way of escape - cul de sac / game over.  Bots couldn't rescue me.
Bots don't take medkits at start.

Conclusion:

While I have to agree that the levels look interesting - there's just too many panic events, tanks, endless melee.
Began to get very old after a while.  Just not my game - much prefer Haunted Forest as more reasonable mix of zombies , tanks and special infected.  Plus, then I fell into a pit trap that just ended the progress of the game and quitting game was only way to escape (bots could not rescue).

Pros:

Length and challenge is just about right.
Good distribution of supplies and weapons.
Interesting maps, overall fun to play.
Haven't detected many if any gameplay bugs.

Cons:

Zombie staircase ascent in finale can be a bit intense - but certainly challenging.
Why is the water poisonous at the outset?

Conclusion:

Nothing at all wrong with this campaign  and it is as good as most others I play.
Only the finale can be a bit intense, but certainly keep you engaged.
Certainly recommend playing it, after finishing it 9 times myself.

Pros:

Good length - not too long, not too short.
A fun campaign - church bell event can be challenging.
Plenty of melee and gun action.
Fairly well-placed weapons and health kits.
Typical tank per level challenge.

Cons:

Not really too many.
Finale and campaign as a whole may be on easy side.

Conclusion:

After seven plays, this campaign is on the shorter and easier side, but really very fun to play.
Have not detected too many glitches at all - save one.  At one point on the first map after the first staircase my character inexplicably began to ascend into the sky - way, way up.  But then he came back to Earth - no problems.  Hasn't happened since.

Pros:

A quick, fun map.
Simple combat - good mix of melee and shooting.
Fun to play.

Cons:

Finale is a problem - game gets sluggish and it is hard to get through the water with the Tank coming at you.

Conclusion:

I like this game - one of my favorite short campaigns.  The ending however is a pain.  Getting through the river with the Tank and to the chapter is an event much harder than the rest of the game, which spoils its continuity.  If that were fixed I'd add 1 point / 10% to the review.

Pros:

Creative map environments.
Cool firefly caves.
Right level of challenge.
Overall very playable, no detected bugs.
Supplies ample - with one area exception.

Cons:

More supplies - in particular ammo and melee weapons needed at the crane event.
Some map transitions can be weird, illogical.
Backtracking to get dynamite at the well can be mildly a nuisance.

Conclusion:

A fun map - if you like melee kills you can rack up a lot of them in this map.  Haven't detected any real serious bot bugs or flaws.  A playable map - plays like you'd expect a LFD2 game.

Pros:

This seem like a average LFD2 game -
I haven't detected many bugs with it.
Weapons and health kids placed well enough.
Some spots offer a fair challenge.
Forested area with many jockeys, special infected.
Some country and urban balance.

Cons:

Seems like not many tanks spawn.
Story line is not developed.
Seems like a haphazard collection of LFD2 themes.
Cornfield with maze-like watering system was annoying at first - almost used to it now.

Conclusion:

I would describe this as an adequate, average game - good distribution of supplies and ammo, not too many bugs in playing that I've noticed.  Probably on the slightly easy side of things, excepting a few areas.
Overall it just feels ordinary - playable, but not the most creative, imaginative in its environments.

Pros:

Challenging finale.
Lots of stair-climbing, zombie-hacking mayhem.
Overall well designed and good supplies.
Good length and balance.
Seems very finished, is very playable.

Cons:

Ending can be frustrating, but fair enough.
Interesting rooms, and climbing of tower.

Conclusion:

I recommend this game - as I enjoy playing it much myself.
While the ending is often difficult, and there are some challenging events, no event seems insanely difficult.
Overall seems well designed and balance in difficulty and supplies.

Pros:

Overall a nice map, interesting details.
Urban environment nicely done.
Distribution of weapons and supplies is good.
Right level of challenge and length.
Haven't really encountered any bugs / glitches.

Cons:

Not really any problems with it.
Very playable.

Conclusion:

A good map - for whatever reason not one of my favorites - but one I have come back to playing often.
Certainly recommend it.

Pros:

Challenging, engaging rooftop combat.
Interesting map layouts.
Fun finale - kind of on easy side.
Runs about the right length and level of challenge.

Cons:

Approach to the police station through the vents can be a bit funky.
Other than that not too much.

Conclusion:

I really enjoy this map - rates highly along with Blood Tracks and The Parish.

Pros:

A nice game - good-looking map layout.  Nicely done.
Interesting challenges.
Good distribution of weapons & supplies.
Everything you'd expect in LFD2 game.
Difficulty is just about right - challenging enough.

Cons:

Placement of weapons and melee items in the first map could be improved.  Melee items offered when long-distance shooting is preferable.  Also special ammo is given before shotgun or machine-gun available. 

Conclusion:

A fun, short map.  One of my favorites.  Very well done.
