Description

If you've ever played Death's Door or Realism Death's Door, but you feel like you need even more tension, this mutation is for you!

It simply adds Iron Man rules (no ammo piles and no restarts) to Realism Death's Door.

So, in this mode:
- Realism rules apply (no survivor glows, no rescues, common infected are tougher, etc.).
- Incapacitation is disabled (survivors die instead when they go down).
- First aid kits do not spawn; pain pills will spawn where they would normally spawn, such as in safe rooms and finales. Adrenaline never spawns.
- There are no ammo piles throughout the whole campaign.
- Restarts are disabled; if all survivors die, they have to start all over from the lobby.

Instructions

You can install this mod either through the Steam Workshop or manually. Both methods are explained below.


Install through Steam Workshop:

- Subscribe on Steam Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198009132885/myworkshopfiles/?appid=550.

- After that, Realism Death's Doors Iron Man will appear in your list of available mutations. Simply change to it and play!


Install manually:

1. Download and copy the add-on (rddi.vpk) to the game's addons folder, such as:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons

2. Go to the Add-ons menu and enable the mod

3. Change your mutation to Realism Death's Door Iron Man (it should appear in the list of mutations), and enjoy!
