      Pros:

      Not bad...
just needs a few tweaks.

      Cons:

      i dont see any bumpmaps
or dirt(just a possible addin, no points deducted)
great start

      Conclusion:

      It could end up very nice, but it needs some tweaks, good job.

      Pros:

      - A little more work put into it
- Fairly decent texturing

      Cons:

      - Needs more details (scratches, buffs, etc.)
- New normals to give more detail
- Rather shiny
- Not very appealing

      Conclusion:

      The only problem that it comes down to with me is if I had to choose this or the default AK47, I would probably choose the latter. Granted it's actually not a camo retexture for once, there are just not a lot of reasons for me to choose it over the vanilla AK in it's current state.

As for the shine, if you cut that back a bit then it shouldn't look too bad.

      Pros:

      -Nice, I can see that you've put some effort into this one. 
-Not a camo overlay.

      Cons:

      -the wood pattern overlay looks a little too "clean" for a "classic" AK.
-the mag texture does not fit the mag model.
-No custom normals and phong settings

      Conclusion:

      Congrats darkshadow, you're in the right direction. I'm glad that this isn't another camo overlay or some cheap recolor. 

But there are still a lot of flaws. If you're gonna call this a classic AK, then the wood pattern that you overlayed over the default textures are too clean. Add some scratches, dirt and shading to make it look more realistic. The texture that you pasted over the mag is for a ribbed magazine, and the magazine model of the AK ingame is somewhat that of an AK74/AKM,but that's not much of a big deal. Plus, this skin has no custom normals or phong settings. Adding a bit of shine to the gun will make it look better.

Well, I can see some improvement, but this still isn't good enough.
