Description
I built this to have a live reference of all kinds of different noise configurations and deformation heights. Hopefully others can find use for it too. Each level in this set runs the gamut of practically deformable textures: rockwall_01a, rockwall_01c, rockwall_04, Lava_v2, Lava_flowing, Lava_alien1, and Ice_01a. Heights are displayed at .25 intervals, starting at 0 with all displays being a 16*16 square. Lighting on each square covers most situations from pitch black to totally bright. Deformation grid and pre/post-proc smoothing are all at default values.
All noise presets are also covered here: Plain, Fractal, Billow, Ridged, V-stripes, H-ridges and Pointy. To avoid segment numbering constraints (each level is ~1000 segs, and there is a ~4000 limit if I recall), each preset has its own level.
Seven levels are included in this .zip file, and the .overload used to make them all.
Note that lead designer, Luke Schneider, has published his own cave tester on the official Overload discord (discord playoverload com), which may be more suitable to multiple environments and other more specialized needs. My version is primarily intended to compare deformation heights.
