Description
I'm hoping to have preserved a bit of the momentum I had coming out of putting Meridian together -- this is a very small and quite tense pressure cooker of a CM level. The spawn rates are untested but ~20% lower than those that I initially played on. I think I had one brief purple reflection issue, but as far as I could tell this has no chunking issues. It might be a little taxing on the hardware, but I never dropped below 160 fps on a 1070. Happy to take constructive feedback -- was thinking I might add a small third floor into the mix to provide a little more cover, but there's enough escape in the pillar side plus the connecting hallways that you should have a bit of a breather...and I'm kinda lazy. Future publications might include a few variations, and I'm not sold on the lighting setup at the moment. Stoked how this turned out with ~15 hours of work though.
"Once the company's crown jewel, increased lava flows around Apex Jovian Mining's facility on Io are straining supply lines of refrigerant out of the asteroid belt. Untenable for its original purpose of manufacturing products heavy in sulfur, the waning days of the station's life are spent examining the effects of incredible heat on Auto-Ops' materials."

- Jonas V 1.1N/A
Jonas was my first level ever. Jonas 1.1 is the nearly the same architecture, but a lot of details and possible actions have changed along the way. I didn't bother too much with the not-so deformed rocks, the sharp edges or the weird lig...
- QuarryN/A
This is a sprawling complex that fans of Descent: First Strike might recognize. This was intended to be the first in a short series of levels exploring SP-spaces-as-CM-levels, but the build and results aren't spectacular (since everythin...
- MeridianN/A
Non-suffixed version better-optimized for gameplay purposes, -G is closer to the original vision. Hoping I've learned a thing or two since publishing Heirloom a few months ago. Happy to take constructive criticism and may make some smal...
- FulcrumN/A
Fulcrum is a multi-leveled central area surrounded by caves and platforms for fast Challenge Mode gameplay.
- HeirloomN/A
This is my second level made with Overload's level editor, and my first using geometry I alone came up with. This was a lot easier in some respects due to being pretty tightly gridded compared to Quarry, but also a lot harder in others s...
- SmelterN/A
This is the first level I've made for any game. Smelter is an industrial facility with several rooms above a large interconnected cave. *Challenge Mode*
- Simplicity (challenge mode)N/A
Ironically codenamed "Simplicity", this asteroid offers incredibly rich veins of rare ores making this a very lucrative and highly contested place for competing corporations. The unusual quantities of rare resources have lead scientists ...
- ConduitN/A
Continuing my everlasting struggle with sizing things appropriately and making them conform to some kind of grid structure, Conduit is a much larger challenge mode level than Meridian, Pyroclastic, or Houndstooth. Inspired by the stock m...
