Left 4 Dead 2: Rising Sun

Hi, welcome to my Rising Sun conversion mod! 

After a whole year I have finally found a way to install the package without compromising the original files or becoming bothersome in the installation, a simple plug and play! A total conversion mod of sorts! 

Keep in mind that any addons will overwrite these files!

The Japanese Survivors of the Japanese Arcade's LEFT 4 DEAD 生存者たち have become the main cast to play on the custom campaign Yama set in Japan, and further custom campaigns as it gets expanded with updates. They have been revised and given high definition textures.

Special Infected have received a total of 27 different styles of clothing and 32 levels of infection shown through skin, this is only for the first custom campaign, more to come!

New music and soundtracks have been created, the first tracks have been influenced by Japanese culture and music, from modern to classic to recreate a "Japanese Styled" Left 4 Dead 2 zombat and atmosphere. More to come!

<> How to set up and play <>
First and foremost all official campaigns are disabled but still playable. 

(1) Download Yama from gamemaps and unpack it inside the addons folders into the following:

common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2_risingsun\addons

The steam version will cause a bug and close the game. Another way of using the steam version would be to extract it from the workshop folder directly inside the file path mentioned above!


(2) Once installed the custom campaign you must run single-player, or, if playing online, only on dedicated\local, otherwise the original campaigns will boot.


<> Questions and Answers <>

[] Why do i see custom mods overwrithing Rising Sun? 
- Yes, custom mods from the workshop or addon folder will overwrite the files contained inside the Rising Sun mod, it works just like an official expansion dlc. You can keep your mods but just know you might miss a lot!

[] Why do the official campaigns show up?
- To play the custom campaigns you must first download them, then start them from single-player or on dedicate\local server.
