The files seem to play at a lower pitch than in the punch out game, did you change that?

Yes, but a description doesn't suffice for actual in-game footage with the mod enabled. An in-game video helps potential mod users to get an idea of what it will sound like before they waste time and memory on a mod that for all they know doesn't even sound good while they play.
