Description

With the Admin System, you are given Admin control. You can spawn Infected, give Survivors weapons/items, kill/revive Survivors, change Convars, change the timescale, and much, much more!

All of this is done server-side via chat triggers. If you don't have a server, all you need to do is host a Local Server and you should automatically be added as an Admin. If you want to give other players Admin control, you can type "!add_admin nick" if they're playing as Nick, or "!add_admin [playername]" to add their Steam ID to the admins.txt file.

If you have a server, you'll need to manually upload an admins.txt file with your steamID32 to your left4dead2/ems/admin system folder. If one doesn't exist, create one. Regardless of whatever your ID is, it needs to begin with 'STEAM_1'.

How To Become An Admin

Singleplayer: No steps required.
Multiplayer: You'll need to host a Local Server in order to use Admin commands.
Server: Your server requires an admins.txt file with your steamID32, which needs to be placed in the left4dead2/ems/admin system folder. If the folder doesn't exist, create it.

How To Use Admin Commands

You can enter commands in either the chat box or the developer console. If you use the "!" to trigger a chat command, it can be seen by other players, but if you use "/" to trigger a chat command, it will only be visible to you.

Chat (Will display to everyone): !give rifle_sg552
Chat (Will only display for you): /give rifle_sg552
Console: scripted_user_func give,rifle_sg552

your own mini basic lite server!

This is a great mod... it's almost like you're running your own server without fancy tools.
