Left 4 Dead 2 Guide
This guide lists all Mutations included in my Mutation Mod.
Campaign Mutations
Acid Trip Faced with spitters continually spitting and tanks spawning frequently, you need to run as fast as you can. Survivors die instead of being incapped and all guns have infinite ammo without needing to reload. Air Raid Equipped with an M60 with unlimited ammo, fight multiple special infected that spawn in waves. Everything is set in low gravity! Blast Zone Only weapons are a grenade launcher with infinite ammo, and a Magnum. There's 7 Smokers and 3 Boomers that spawn at once, and the Tank's health has been doubled. BooM60 Nothing but Boomers spawn, who summon Commons with their vomit. Some Boomer's are suicidal and are invincible until they detonate. Boomer BBQ The only SI that spawn are Boomers that are a little tougher to kill and the occasional Tank. The Boomer's vomit is the only thing that brings a horde. Beat them all with unlimited molotovs and a magnum. Common infected still appear but not very many since the boomers are what brings more. Boomer Shooter Only SI are Boomers, and the only commons you get are when a Boomer vomits on you. The Boomers are a lot faster than normal, and will puke immediately. Common Problems All Common Infected, no SI spawn. Common Infected are more aggressive. Fire Storm The survivors have infinite molotovs to fight the infected. The survivors don't take damage from fire while the infected take more damage. Everything has low gravity and there are no incapacitations. Fully Charged Waves of about 10-20 chargers spawn at a time while seemingly being able to continually charge. The chargers have slightly reduced health. Hunter Barrage Waves of about 10-20 hunters spawn at a time and everything has low gravity. The hunters seem to have slightly reduced health. Infestation Only Infected are Hunters, and there can be 15 of them at once. The hunters don't pounce to attack but can jump away to retreat. They instead run up to the survivors to scratch them. Jockeys! This mutation features only Jockeys! Their health is lower, they run a hell of a lot faster, and there can be up to 20 of them. Excellent to practice dead-stopping Jockeys. However it is very easy to be quad-capped, so be careful. Limited Resources Limited ammo, few guns, so no chance to Survive... Guns have extremely limited ammo so swapping guns is encouraged. Panic Attack Only Commons and Tanks, with tons of panic events. Pyromania BURN! What's standing between you and the infected? An infinite amount of molotov cocktails and an immunity to fire. Be warned, go down once, you're down for good, no incaps. While you are immune to your own fire, flames that are a part of the map will still hurt you, so no cheating your way through Dead Center. Spitters! In this mutation there are only Spitters. They have some modified stats and there can be up to 20 of them at a time. They also spawn at a much more frequent rate. Be careful this mutation can be pretty tough in close quarters. Suicide Boombers Be careful, these aren't your ordinary Boomers. Don't think they're no threat, as they're suicidal. Shove them away if you don't want to get caught in the blast. The survivors are equipped with only melee weapons. The boomers don't cover survivors in bile. Instead, they explode and create a small fire where their body is. Tank Attack No Commons spawn, only Tanks. One Tank spawns every 15 seconds, with a max of 8 Tanks. You have infinite ammo at your disposal, use it to survive! Friendly Fire is disabled. Wrecking Crew Similar to Special Delivery, many special infected spawn at a time. The survivors only have melee weapons to fight them off! To help with the disadvantage, healing and pickup times are faster. Multiple tanks can spawn per map but die almost instantly if a downed survivor shoots it with a pistol. BeserkeRAGE Melee weapons are the only thing that you get to fight the infected. Special Infected spawn more often and in more numbers. The only healing item you get is an adrenaline shot. The speed effect of the adrenaline doesn't seem to ever run out and the survivors' flashlight doesn't work. Big Daddy Co-Op The only SI to spawn are one tough charger and spitters. The charger has an incredibly high amount of health. The most effective way to kill the charger is fire. Boomer Shooter Extreme Similar to Boomer Shooter; only SI spawn but if a boomer vomits on you, a horde of common infected spawn. In this mutation, the other SI spawn along with the boomer. There are less boomers in this mutation than in the normal version. Claw Hammer The survivors are equipped with Gib Fest weapons (M60+Magnum) with the only infected that spawn being hunters, chargers, and the occasional tank. The hunters and chargers die pretty quickly but they spawn extremely often. Crouch Sprinters Crouching makes you move extremely fast instead of slowing you down. Walking speed is normal. Only crouching has a changed speed. Crowd Control A large crowd of common infected is always spawned in the world and will attack on sight. Control them with shotguns and don't get surrounded because they do a very large amount of damage per hit! The commons aren't spawned as a horde, just standing (except for the occasional hordes). The reserve ammo for shotguns are max 671 for both pump and auto. There are no incaps. Darkness Falls All maps are much darker with no item/survivor outline glows. Witches kill in one hit like in realism. It's very much like a dark Realism with normal common infected and survivor names showing up. Darkness Falls SE Darkness Falls without survivor health HUD. Weapon and item sidebar are still visible. Deadliest Countdown Everybody's health is set to 5 and only have a magnum to use. There are only commons (that do 1 damage per hit) and tanks/witches. Tanks die almost instantly to the magnums and witches kill in one hit. There are no incaps. Fight or Flight Campaign with extremely low gravity. The gravity change also affects weapons and throwable items. Panic Attack Slowmo "Panic Event Hordes" appear almost all the time so there will be common infected always chasing the survivors. The survivors are equipped with M60's with infinite ammo and adrenaline. Seems to be "Panic Attack" with adrenaline as the medicine instead of pills. Party Hard A combination of Hunting Party and Hard Eight. Pitch Black Co-Op The whole map is completely dark except for a small circle of light around the survivor. The only thing you can see is darkness while all you can hear are hunters growling and watching you. "The survivor has about 5 incaps before they have black and white vision. This mutation turns off the game's music so be sure to turn it back on afterward." Silent But Deadly Music is turned off, and the CI don't make any vocals. So you will need to wait until you hear many footsteps to know if there is a horde, also makes finding Tanks a nice surprise. Only commons are mute. SI sound normal except for the tank, which is silent until it notices the survivors. The clown's squeaky footsteps are unchanged. Snipe Fest The only weapons available are the military/hunting sniper rifles. Use them against the many hunters and smokers that come at you. The official description says that you are also given a machete but that hasn't happened any time? Super Hard Mode There is no HUD (or crosshair), only headshots kill commons, no glows, survivors only have pistols, and there are no incaps. Swarm Once the survivors step out of the saferoom, a panic event horde happens and all the commons attack. Throughout the rest of the map, smaller hordes occasionally spawn to continue the attack. Survivor actions like healing are sped up. Taste of Your Own Medicine Give boomers a taste of their own medicine with an infinite supply of bile jars. Cover the boomers in bile and commons before they cover you! Don't throw the bile everywhere though because the survivors are affected by it too! The survivors have a baseball bat to defend themselves. The only infected that spawn are boomers, commons, and tanks. If a bile jar lands on a survivor, they will be biled. Be careful. Tank Bake No Commons spawn, only Tanks. 1 Tank spawns every 10 seconds, with a max of 8 Tanks. You only have a Magnum and 1 molotov on you, but you'll find a lot more mollies along the way. You'll have to use molotov's to bake the Tanks. They will die quicker when on fire, this is your only defense against the Tanks.* Bombing Run The only kind of weapon the survivors have is an unlimited supply of short-fused pipe bombs. The pipe bombs function very similar to normal except they detonate in only one second after being thrown. The mutation is in lower gravity so the pipe bombs fly in a straight line instead of a curved throw. The survivors don't get a pistol when incapped so they will become defenseless. Call of Boomer Maps are filled with lingering CEDA zombies that will all attack if caught by a boomer. The boomers that appear have an insane amount of health so they aren't very easy to take down unless all survivors shoot at once. Each survivor that gets covered in boomer bile spawns a tank along with the horde of zombies. The survivors only have an SMG with infinite ammo to fight off the CEDA zombies, the boomers, and the tanks! (The gun still needs to reload) Gun of the Gods "There are so many special infected coming straight for the survivors. It's a good thing they are equipped with the Gun of the Gods: a magnum that will kill them all in one shot!" The magnum has unlimited ammo and doesn't require reloading. The special infected only have 1 HP since chargers die from charging into a wall. Immoral Support There are multiple types of uncommon infected, special infected don't seem to be hurt by pistol bullets, and all you have are pistols and some bile. What do you do? Turn the common infected against the specials using their own weapon against them! You can get more boomer bile to throw at special infected by killing CEDA hazmat zombies. The pistol hurts the common infected normally but you need bile to kill SI. Kablooey Only pipe bombs against the infected. The infected do a very high amount of damage per hit. The pipe bombs have a two second fuse and the survivors are immune to the explosion. L4D2 Co-Op Only weapons, items, and special infected that premiered in L4D2 appear in this mode. Tanks and Witches still appear. "The following do NOT appear: Hunter, Boomer, Smoker, First-Aid Kit, Pills, Molotov, Pipebomb, Pistol, SMG, Pump shotgun, M-16 rifle, Tactical Shotgun, and Hunting rifle." Plague of the Dead Fight in a "traditional" zombie setting with the common infected being extremely slow but require damage to the head to be killed. If your health goes down to zero, you'll "be infected" and have 2 minutes to get to the saferoom or die if time runs out. The common infected deal 24 damage per hit on normal difficulty so don't get surrounded. If a survivor gets "infected" a timer next to their name at the top of the screen will show up and start counting down. Random Mutation A Mutation that randomly changes various elements of gameplay. Sky Burst A variant of Bombing Run where the only infected that spawn are hunters and jockeys. The pipe bombs seem to have a bigger blast to help with killing the hunters and jockeys. Survivor Swap Normal campaigns with the L4D1 and L4D2 survivors being swapped with each other's campaign maps. The Passing's finale doesn't have survivors on the balcony to help. Target Acquired The survivors become bounty hunters with alternating weapons and a time limit. Survivor points and bounties are displayed on the HUD at the top. The HUD will display a bounty for a specific Special Infected and the survivor that kills it, gets a point. Occasionally there will be a "bonus round" where a tank will spawn and reward 2 points for the kill. When the timer gets to zero, all survivors that aren't in the saferoom die (reducing points by 2). The guns alternate the same way as they do in Left 4 Gun Game. The survivors have an infinite amount of incapacitations so they will not die from the infected. The Last of Us A variant of Plague of the Dead. Instead of having the plague when your health goes down to zero, you become incapped normally but the survivor pickup time is reduced. Healing takes less time as well. The quick pickup time is helpful because if a survivor is incapped and surrounded, they will die very fast! The Real Zombusters Very similar to The Last of Us except there is no HUD and common infected incap survivors in one hit. There is no HUD so you can't see survivor health or items. You also cannot see survivor glows so you can't see your teammates through walls. The Very End Of You The survivors are faced with multiple special infected at a time while trying to get to safety. If a survivor dies, they cannot be brought back. If the whole team dies, it's game over and you are sent back to the game lobby. Very similar to a Special Infected version of the "Iron Man" mutation. Once a survivor dies, they're dead for the rest of the campaign. United We Stand Co-Op The L4D1 join the L4d2 survivors in a campaign. The AI controlled L4D1 survivors will follow no matter what. The L4D1 survivors are always AI controlled and cannot take any damage but can get hit by infected. While playing The Parish's finale, Louis, Francis, and Zoey will play their normal roles while Bill will continue to follow. VIP Escort One survivor will randomly be selected to be the VIP that the others need to protect. The VIP will only be equipped with a pistol and if they die, everyone else dies along with them. Each map, the VIP will change to a new survivor. Special Infected seem to come less frequently and hordes of common infected spawn more frequently. Witching Hour For a set amount of time everything is filled with wandering witches that attack on sight. Spend the time they go to the nether realm to make as much progress as you can! There's a countdown for how long the witches will stay. Hide from the witches in closets or if one notices you, stand your ground for the many you'll alert with gunshots. Deadshot! Survivors are faced with a large amount of common infected that move slowly but pack a punch. There's no incaps and infected do ~15 damage per hit. Ammo piles and healing items are not present so use ammo wisely. Extermination A large amount of slow-moving common infected constantly attack the survivors. Special Ignition Only molotovs against special infected. The survivors have an immunity to the fire that comes from molotovs but not from fire that's part of the map. Special Surprise Only common infected spawn. When you kill one, there's a random chance an SI may spawn where it died. All kinds of special infected have a chance to spawn each time a common infected is killed. Multiple SI of the same type can spawn at a time.
Anti Special Squad Mutations
A very large amount of Special Infected spawn at a time and continue to spawn throughout the map. With only 1 health, they get taken down very quickly. Special Force All SI spawn. Brute Force All SI spawn with faster walking speed but only use their scratches to attack. (No pouncing, tongue, charge, etc.) Tank Frenzy Tanks die almost instantly but move quickly and kill in two hits. Triple Threat A random combination of SI spawn for each map. There may be a larger amount of only one type of SI instead. Boomageddon Spitter Showdown Smoker Strike Jockapocalypse
Classic Mutations
Classic Darkness Falls Darkness Falls with only L4D1 Infected and weapons spawning. Classic Special Delivery Special Delivery with only L4D1 Infected and weapons spawning.
Death Clock Mutations
The survivors only have 5 minutes to get from saferoom to saferoom. Special Infected are frequently spawning to stop you and die from any kind of damage so they rely on having strength in numbers. Don't let them distract you too much or death will come from the clock instead. Death Clock: Tank Edition Tanks deal a very small amount of damage to survivors and have low health to compensate the number of tanks. Death Clock: Special Edition All SI spawn with witches and tanks spawning at normal rates. Death Clock: Random Edition A random set of 3-4 SI spawn for each map. Death Clock: Boomer Edition Boomers move at a faster speed and do not summon common infected. Death Clock: Charger Edition Death Clock: Hunter Edition Death Clock: Jockey Edition Death Clock: Smoker Edition Death Clock: Spitter Edition
Left 4 Gun Game Mutations
Left 4 Gun Game The survivors switch to random weapons every 10 seconds. The weapons can be anything from a single pistol to an M60. All weapons are available in the rotation. In all other versions of Left 4 Gun Game, the survivors slowly regenerate health. Left 4 Gun Game: Air Raid Left 4 Gun Game with Special Infected only in low gravity. Left 4 Gun Game: Death's Door Left 4 Gun Game with no incapacitation. Zero health means death. Left 4 Gun Game: Infestation "Only hunters spawn with the survivors switching weapons." The hunters only run up to scratch instead of pouncing. Left 4 Gun Game: Special Edition Left 4 Gun Game with only Special Infected spawning. Left 4 Gun Game: Special Surprise Only common infected spawn. When you kill one, there's a chance a special infected will spawn where it died. Survivor guns switch often. Left 4 Gun Game: Swarm Small hordes constantly spawn and attack the survivors. The survivors' weapons switch often. Left 4 Gun Game: Tank Attack A tank spawns every 15 seconds with a max of 8 tanks. The survivors' weapons switched often. Left 4 Gun Game: The Last of Us Traditional zombies that move slowly and require a headshot to die. Healing and pickups are faster while the survivors' weapons switch often. Left 4 Gun Game: The Very End of You Only SI spawn and there are no deaths or rescue closets. Survivors die for the whole campaign and their weapons switch often. Left 4 Gun Game: Witching Hour Witching Hour with Left 4 Gun Game's swapping weapons.
Realism Mutations
Chaos A huge horde of tough common infected come full force to attack. Every map is filled with fog that limits vision. This mutation has only common infected but witches and tanks can also spawn. Melee weapons are almost mandatory to survive. Hardcore Common Problems Only common infected spawn, but they are pretty tough compared to normal infected. They only die if you land a headshot or decapitate them with a melee weapon. Also, the game's HUD doesn't show up so you can't see survivor health or items. The items don't even show up when you pick them up so you have to pay attention to sounds and remember what you picked up if you want to keep track. Hardcore Death's Door Death's Door rules apply meaning once a survivor's health goes down to zero, they die. To make it harder, the game's HUD doesn't show up so you can't even see survivor health or items. Hardcore Special Delivery The survivors are faced with eight Special Infected at a time that don't have respawn times. It's even more in favor of the infected since the survivors' HUD doesn't show up meaning health and items can't be seen. Insanity All maps are filled with fog that allow silhouettes to be seen a little. All common infected are almost completely silent and move twice as fast. The Special Infected seem to spawn slightly less frequently. Lights Out "Everything is so dark. Even the sky! I guess I'll have to rely more on my sense of hearing to know where they are. Oh wait! I can just use my flashli- ...oh........it doesn't work." There's no skybox to make the daytime campaigns seem darker. Since the skybox is missing, the game uses what was last in that position on the screen for the sky which creates some "trippy" effects. Madness An endless flood of zombies is the only thing between you and safety. Cut through them or else they will overwhelm you. If a survivor's health goes down to zero, they will die. This mutation is IMPOSSIBLE without a melee weapon! Realism Apocalypse The campaigns are slightly darker and the flashlight is much brighter than normal. All common infected are tougher like in normal realism requiring either a headshot or a melee. All weapons have very limited ammo so you need to conserve it as much as you can. Realism Gib Fest Gib Fest with Realism rules. The tougher common infected doesn't matter since you're equipped with an M60 and Magnum; both of which kill commons in one shot. The witches kill in one hit and there are no survivor glows like all the other realism mutations. Since this mutation has realism enabled and the survivors are equipped with infinite bullets that kill common infected in one hit, it makes getting tough achievements much easier to get. Ultra Realism Maps have an extremely low amount of common infected, even during a horde event. Also the survivor HUD doesn't appear so you can't see health, items, or progression bars. Only a handful of commons show up and SI don't even spawn.
Scavenge Mutations
Big Daddy Scavenge (Tygerwoody) One player is randomly chosen to be the "Big Daddy", a charger that is slow and weak but has an incredible amount of health. The three other SI are "Spitsters", strong and fast spitters that have weaker spit. Big Daddy will die much faster if he's burning! Big Daddy Scavenge Similar to the Tygerwoody version, except the spitters are replaced with boomers and the charger seems to be a bit tougher. Big Daddy will die much faster if he's burning! Realism Scavenge Scavenge mode with survivor outlines not appearing. Gas cans still glow after being thrown. Scavenge Co-op Scavenge mode that can be played against bot infected. The round goes on until either the timer runs out or the survivors are not holding a can. Once the round ends, it automatically goes to the next round without the other side playing as the survivor team. Since AI controlled survivors can't pick up gas cans, it skips rounds where the survivors would be all bots, giving them a score of 0 cans. Special Delivery Scavenge Scavenge mode with 8 special infected spawning at a time with lower respawn times. There are no common infected at all.
Solo Mutations
Last Survival On Earth One survivor holding out in a survival setting with plenty of healing supplies. The only infected are Specials and Tanks. Common infected do not spawn. The amount of Tanks that spawn increases with the time. Nemesis Wielding a pistol, go through maps against a single tough charger. The charger has increased health. Fire is extremely effective while the pistol takes many rounds. One Against Many Maps are full of aggressive common infected that will attack on sight. Special Infected do not spawn. One Man Army Waves of ~5 SI spawn at a time with no common infected. Smokers do not spawn. Pitch Black The whole map is completely dark except for a small circle of light around the survivor. The only thing you can see is darkness while all you can hear are hunters growling and watching you. The survivor has about 5 incaps before they have black and white vision. This mutation turns off the game's music so be sure to turn it back on afterward. Single Player Realism Very similar to One Against Many; Items do not glow. Solo Bombing Run A Grenade Launcher with infinite grenades and a Magnum are all you have against the Special Infected. The GL seems slightly less powerful? Reloading doesn't happen for the grenades.
Two-Player Mutations
Horror 4 Two Two survivors face a smaller amount of common infected and one Special Infected at a time but their weapons have a smaller amount of ammo. The only primary weapons that show up are pump shotguns and grenade launchers. The only secondary weapons are pistols and magnums. Pump shotguns have about 38 shots while the grenade launcher has 6 grenades. Horror 4 Two: Mercenaries Pretty much Horror 4 Two in a survival setting. More guns are available but all of them have reduced reserve ammo. Horror 4 Two: Outbreak Horror 4 Two with more guns to use. All guns have reduced ammo and there's aren't many ammo piles. Hunting rifles seem to have the normal amount of ammo. Karma Bros Two survivors have to make it to safety while dodging chargers that continually charge. If the charge connects, the survivor will be incapped, then killed after the second charge. Left 2 Die 2-player co-op with an increased amount of Special Infected and no common infected. Right 2 Live Normal campaign with two survivors and two Special Infected at a time. Traveling Light 2-player co-op with increased damage from common infected and limited health. Pump shotgun and a pistol are the only guns. Common infected do 30 damage from the front and 15 from behind. Witches kill in one hit. Two Against Many "One Against Many" with two survivors.
Survival Mutations
Big Daddy Survival Versus Survival Versus with "Big Daddy" infected. There will be one charger with an insane amount of health and tough spitters that help him. Bombardment The survivors are given a grenade launcher with infinite grenades and a magnum to hold off as long as they can. There will be A LOT of explosions so be careful if your computer can't handle it! Cocktail Party Molotov cocktails are the only "weapon" the survivors have against the infected. Good thing they're fire-proof! The survivor bots don't know how to shove special infected while holding the molotov so they will just throw molotovs until the SI is dead. Death's Door Survival Survival mode with no incapacitations. Once your health goes down to zero, you die. Defibrillators spawn instead of first-aid kits. Hordes Survival mode with no Special Infected spawning. A flow of common infected are the only threat the survivors need to watch out for. The common infected aren't very overwhelming making it an easy way to get a long time on a map. Jimmy Gibbs Only! All common infected are Jimmy Gibbs Junior and Special Infected don't spawn. Basically a tougher version of "Hordes" since JGJ has more health, is immune to fire, and covers your vision with oil. Onslaught The survivors are given a M60 with infinite ammo and a chainsaw with infinite gas. Use them to shred the commons and destroy the specials. Realism Survival Survival mode with no glowing outlines. A challenge for organized and coordinated teams! Special Delivery Survival Special Infected spawn at an increased rate and spawn in more numbers. Common infected don't spawn. Tank Assault Tanks are the only type of infected that spawn. It starts with one tank and increases the amount of tanks with the time. United We Stand The L4D2 survivors team up with the L4D1 survivors to hold off the infected. Every survival map is in the style of The Passing's finale where the L4D1 team is spread out and placed in higher spots to cover the L4D2 team. The Passing's Port map has the L4D1 survivors in similar spots except Louis is on the other edge of the bridge and Bill is dead. Maps from L4D1 don't seem to have survivors that provide cover but you do spawn as L4D2 survivors.
Versus Mutations
Big Daddy (Tygerwoody) One player is randomly chosen to be the "Big Daddy", a charger that is slow and weak but has an incredible amount of health. The three other SI are "Spitsters", strong and fast spitters that have weaker spit. Big Daddy will die much faster if he's burning! Big Daddy Versus Similar to the Tygerwoody version, except the spitters are replaced with boomers and the charger seems to be a bit tougher. Big Daddy will die much faster if he's burning! Big Daddy Versus Realism Big Daddy Versus with no survivor glows. Big Daddy will die much faster if he's burning! Death's Bleeding Tank A combination of Death's Door, Bleed Out, and Tanks. The only tanks that spawn are the player-controlled tanks. AI tanks do not spawn. Death's Door Versus Normal VS mode except there are no incapacitations. Once a survivor's health reaches zero, they die. Flame War Infinite molotovs that don't hurt survivors are the only weapon you have. Death's Door rules apply so there are no incaps. Green Mile There are no weapons at all. The only item that spawns are medkits so the survivors are defenseless. Hunting Party Versus A versus game with all Special Infected being Hunters. L4D2 Versus VS mode with only L4D2 weapons, items, and infected spawning. "The following do NOT appear: Hunter, Boomer, Smoker, First-Aid Kit, Pills, Molotov, Pipebomb, Pistol, SMG, Pump shotgun, M-16 rifle, Tactical Shotgun, and Hunting rifle." Last Duo on Earth 2v2 versus with AI controlled survivors. Can be played with 4 players instead of bots. Spawn distance from survivors increased slightly. Low Gravity Vs in low gravity. Melee's VS the Infected The survivors only have melee weapons to fight the infected. Only Hunters, Boomers, and Spitters spawn. The only commons that spawn are from boomer bile. Special Delivery Versus Eight special infected spawn at a time with shorter respawn times. Tankball Versus Tanks spawn about 5 seconds after the survivors come out of the saferoom. Everything is set in low gravity so use short cuts to escape the tanks. Tanks have 60,000 health and only player-controlled tanks spawn. Tank Busters Survivors have grenade launchers with infinite ammo and have to outrun the tanks. Only player-controller tanks spawn. Twisted Tongues VS Co-op mode with mostly smokers. Bot infected seem to be able to spawn as other special infected. Player-controlled infected are only smokers. VIP Target There is a gnome that needs to be escorted from start to finish it cannot be thrown, only dropped. Whoever is holding the gnome will be targeted by the common infected as if they were covered in bile.

Versus Co-Op Versus mode with AI controlled survivors. Player controlled infected have an increased spawn timer against bots. AI infected spawn more frequently. Versus Co-Op - No Kits Versus Co-Op with no health kits spawning. Pills, adrenaline, and defibrillators still spawn. Versus Co-Op - No Tanks Versus Co-Op with no Tanks spawning. When playing as a survivor, there will only be common infected. (No Tanks)
Uncommon Mutations
Biohazard All common infected are CEDA hazmat suit infected from Dead Center. The CEDA zombies still have a chance of dropping boomer bile so this is an easy way to get the "Robbed Zombie" achievement. Coulrophobia All common infected are Clown infected from Dark Carnival. The clowns don't follow each other but you can squeak their noses making it an easy way to get the "CL0WND" achievement. "L4D Squeaky Edition". Deconstruction All common infected are Worker infected from Hard Rain. Dirt Nap All common infected are Mud Men infected from Swamp Fever. You can easily get the "Dead In The Water" achievement if you throw a pipe bomb in swamp water. Fallen Hope All common infected are Fallen Survivor infected from The Passing. The survivors' health goes down rapidly so you need to take the fallen survivors' pills to keep going. Every zombie drops items so it's an easy way to get the "Grave Robber" achievement. Jimpocalypse All common infected are Jimmy Gibbs Junior infected from Dead Center's finale. The survivors only have a magnum with unlimited ammo to stop the Jimmys and boomers. Ellis will scream "NOOOO" when he sees Jimmy Gibbs Junior. With all commons being Jimmy, he ends up yelling NOOO quite a bit. Riot Control All common infected are Riot infected from The Parish. There's infinite ammo and friendly fire is disabled to help with the harder difficulty that comes with the Riot infected's mechanics. Bots have a very hard time with Riot zombies so this is not recommended with bot survivors. Uncommon Ground All common infected are each Uncommon infected. (Except Jimmy Gibbs Junior) Uncommon Ground Survival Survival with all common infected being Uncommon infected. Jimmy Gibbs Junior shows up in this mutation unlike Uncommon Ground.
