If you want some real support this mod is 4 you

Simple but good. They don't pickup melee weapons (and that's a good thing) because their much coordinate when only using guns.

My bots became lasers

Thank you very much for what you did with bots.They are better at dealing with horde and specials.Of course we must not forget bot is a bot.They still need good positioning,careful gameplay of very highskill in order to be effective on high difficultys.For me they are supreme addition in comparison to other bot modes.You can literally feel their support ,better situation handling even in slightest.Sooo let's fire mah lazoohhhss :)
