      Amazing looks, but annoying

I like the beginning of the campaign, those opening credits look like they are from the beginning of a movie. Some of the maps are impressive, they look professionally made, hats off to the people who made them. It's one of the best campaigns I have ever seen, and I have seen many. Some scenes are of pure beauty. I loved the portable turret and the flamethrower! Everything turned into a huge zombie barbeque. Zombique! :)) I didn't like the parts against the clock, where you should get to a subway ASAP or where you should find a keycard and use it in a mall. You can't play those parts unless you already know everything you should do. Are these maps made just for the people Who made them? Because nobody else already knows what are the exact actions to do and places to go. The instructor helps only sometimes. The game is hard enough already, we don't need something that kills us 10 times in a row while trying to find something quickly, making the players start over and over and spending millions of years by a door holding a button pressed or similar extremely long actions. All those are very bad ideas. Players should enjoy the game, not be annoyed. And there are huge mazes, even more annoying. The mall looks great, but its maps are poorly designed. They are similar to a beautiful person with a low IQ. I want to have fun, to play, not to waste my time searching for stuff or starting the maps from the beginning because I touched a door like any other and the game killed me, senseless and unfair. But I have to say one more time that the mall looks amazing! I spent half the time playing and the other half in noclip mode, flying around and taking screenshots. It even has lasers, niiicceeeee... Oh no, they trigger alarms! :))

      It's OK

This version of Dead Before Dawn provides you with more events and higer difficulty. The layout of some areas is completely different from the DC version, giving me a fresh feeling. You can't say its design and detail level isn't stunning (unless you dislike unorthodox gameplay - that's the biggest feature of this version), although there're many nav issues and the search events are not all that fun. Bots get stuck and teleported very often, and it's easy to find a jesus spot in the finale.
In a word, it's not as perfect as the DC version (in my mind), but it's quite worth a try, as long as you're not who hates the voice actor. Of course, the premise is that you can find somebody to play with - from my experience of playing this on Expert Realism, I have to say this version is particularly brutal for bots. You may not even be able to complete the fourth map if you are the only human player..

You know the saying "some things are better left on the cutting room floor"? I think it applies very well to this campaign. I can say that I personally enjoyed DBD Too, DC and Extended a lot more than this version. It feels like everything in this particular version just exists to annoy the player, the forced infected spawns, the random incaps on chapter 1, the god-awful "don't let 50 zombies in" panic event on chapter 3 is back, and even worse than the DC version (or was it Too?); you have to start the chapter all over again if you fail. This version also I must say feels a lot less traditional than your typical L4D campaign, there's a lot more tasks for you to do, which; once you do once, you'll basically be able to speedrun all of them.
Playing with bots is an absolute nightmare and highly not recommended (the panic event to bring the cooler up is super slow on chapter 3 with 1 person,) you absolutely need human players for this campaign if you want to have any fun. Speaking of the 50 zombies panic event, you have to holdout for about over a minute I believe, and yeah, it's very tough, because even the zombies that spawn inside the mall; I'm pretty sure they can also enter the trigger to add to the counter if they simply run through the door.

Hank is made extremely annoying in this campaign (even though I'm sure that was the intention, and well, he already kinda was heh.)
With all that being said though, it is interesting to see what could of been, although I think the re-works are far better than this version for sure, and a lot more user-friendly, I think the events on this campaign require a lot more team co-ordination, especially on higher difficulties. Oh and one little issue, the truck model on the finale is missing. So yeah, in conclusion, avoid playing with bots, and play if you have a competent team that isn't afraid to face a bit of trail and error.
