Summary
The Left 4 Dead 2 Beta Restoration Project gives the Valve gaming community a faithful remake of the Left 4 Dead 2 E3 Demo, a pre-release build of Left 4 Dead 2 that showcases many unused designs, features, and concepts. Using this mod pack, players can relive the unique Left 4 Dead 2 experience brought to players at E3 2009!

Version Incentive
If you're here, chances are you want to enjoy a pre-release setting without impacting the traditional Left 4 Dead 2 experience. Download this version to remove all scripts that replicate the functions used in the E3 demo. This will not only allow users to have access to ALL game modes and campaigns, but also utilize "beta" assets alongside other external custom addons. However, this means you acknowledge the following:

- E3 Charger animations will not have their corresponding functionality (retail attacks).
- Scripts such as incendiary ammo pickup and melee weapon swings will be restored to retail.
- Infected will be restored to their retail state (Spitter, Jockey, Boomette, and Riot Cop will Spawn).
- Items spawned from the AI director will be returned to their original state.
- Menu selection has reset to the standard version with a L4D1-styled menu layout.
- The "E3 Beta Parish" is not a standard campaign and must be accessed through the addon campaign menu.

To compensate for the loss of the E3-game functions listed above, the Online Edition will include other "beta" assets such as unused animations, sound effects, texture packs, and more. This allows users to access most Left 4 Dead 2 pre-release assets in one single package. While these items were not traditionally used in the E3 demo, we still acknowledge the appreciation for the fan interest in an overall pre-release Left 4 Dead 2. Crediting all content creator assets is extremely important, and we will do our best to ensure all work is properly recognized. To view all assets used in this project (and version), see here. 

Legal
Sourcerer requires that if another content creator wishes to re-upload exclusive content, Gigan, or Sourcerer, must be credited and notified with a valid reason. This is not only for the protection of our assets, but also for the rightful protection of donated content and official Valve assets. If Sourcerer finds any unofficial rereleases without permission, Sourcerer will file for copyright. Not removing the item will result in a report.
