Map 4 to 5 Transition CTD

Seems like something within this campaign between map 4 and 5 does not like an addon or two that I installed that it caused crash to desktop. Haven't ruled out which one it was though. That aside, it's good to be back to this campaign (I played the L4D2 version back then.)

Thank you author & thank you Uploader who made the port

Man, this is really one of the best campaigns i have been through. As usual played it for the first time on Expert SP Mode and it took me less than 5 hours to finish it. Everything is Awesome especially those texts that radio or announcement on tv that showed up after every minute. That fan in the ceiling that was almost dead. The weather was WOW i would even let the game ON and go asleep listening to that rain falling and that calmness. Environment was so cool. Unique themes for both, Witch & Tank which is really loved. Only two downs of this campaign or port because the port is a reason for one defect which is this campaign was for L4D1 as i could understand from comments below. So When it's ported to L4D2 world, it should have everything that we can find in L4D2 world and that thing i really missed especially in the finale was Bile Bomb. Why couldn't i find even one bile bomb? It's L4D2 world so we should find everything related. The second issue is the spawning of common infected especially when horde is coming they just show up right behind my back from nowhere. Yes, it's not always happening, but it is so annoying when they come from nowhere unlike i used to see in other Official game maps, i will not refer to any custom map because this campaign is so unique and i will keep it so i want it to be literally the same quality as Official campaigns to be even greater. Anyway, managed to finish it in so short time and on an attempt i was there when the helicopter came but didn't expect it would require me to jump on the police car to get into the helicopter and other bots were dead or down so i got stuck by zombies and died pathetically and it really drove me mad for losing at that moment... Compared to other screwed hard campaigns, they took me over 10 hours to finish with Bots on expert or even couldn't finish and just quit the game after leaving it opened for hours to keep tracking of hours spent to finish any campaign played for the first time on Expert on SP mode. I also Shall thank you, Dave for that link you left down below for those custom campaigns and even more. Someone helpful sent me that link and he said he found by accident. i guess he checked this page here and found it before i do today. It will help me keep tracking of those updated campaigns or deleted ones in case of a campaign is abandoned or deleted. Thanks a lot!
      • I got a question, i am searching for a campaign called " Freezer Burn " It was said it was abandoned... So can you help me find it on any website?? Thanks again

A classic that is nice to have back

This was a truly top-tier custom campaign, and I am really glad to have it back for L4D2. Almost everything is spot on: the lighting, the arrows to point out the way, the destroyed and dirty city in chaos, and a unique finale location. The construction and details are close to the quality of the stock maps, and there are only a few places that don't quite look like they could be a real location.

One feature that I did not like: you lose the sense that you are clearing a path and making progress because commons will spawn the moment you look somewhere else. Clear a room, jump around the corner for a split second and the room will be filled again. I think this was an unnecessary feature, and while the design might be in the service of giving you an incentive to keep driving forwards, you always have this incentive without it, and some immersion is lost. There are already a lot of commons in the map as it is, and if a player really wants more of a challenge, expert realism will suffice for most.

Regardless, this is a definite keeper for me, and holds ranks with other greats like White Forest, Deadbeat Escape and Devil Mountain.

Perfect campaign. Everything works perfectly, however, the only issue is that the bots aren't too keen on picking up items and collecting ammo. Sometimes, they have to be right on top of the ammo/guns to pick them up (example would be the ammo pile on the finale.) And also, a tank committed suicide on chapter 2. When we reached the crates, tank music played, no noise could be heard, music stops, we find the tank corpse one floor up by the pipes which probably would've been directly above us. Other than that though, it was perfect. Feels just like a Valve campaign.
