Campaign with traps & puzzles not for beginners

Well, as I said on the title (& the author also mentioned similar things), this campaign is too difficult for beginners, especially when it comes to traps & puzzles. The traps are without any hints, like for example, the falling roof traps in map 2, & most traps in map 4. The puzzles also have less to no hint, especially puzzles in map 4. & special for map 4, it's a "Map of No Return" which means that if the puzzles are not done in order & the building is already crumbled after using elevator, there's no way to go back to the upper floor. Puzzle in finale about numbers is also without a hint, & it could generate a wide propeller trap that instantly incapacitates survivor when certain numbers are pressed. What's worse is the bot navigation. It's really not recommended to play with bots, because they'll most likely die very early due to bad navigation & traps.

In short, this campaign is only for those who want challenges to avoid traps & solve puzzles with less to no hint. & I think this campaign is harder than "Powerstation", "Curse of Lazar Castle", & "Sector 74" campaigns. "Powerstation" is similar in terms of traps without hint but there's no difficult puzzle, while "Curse of Lazar Castle" has many traps & puzzles but there are enough hints to avoid all traps (if players carefully explore each map to look for hints, they can clear this campaign without falling into any traps). & for "Sector 74", although it has traps, there are hints about how to avoid. So, this "Left 4 Dust" campaign is on higher difficulty than those other campaigns I mentioned, though I think it would be less difficult than "hehe". series as traps in "hehe" series are on another level. So, play this only when there are other players available.

Has some unique ideas but wow this map is BAD

      PROS
      + fish that hurt you
      + Healing pools
      + Designed to be challenging

      CONS
      - Does not work with bots
      - SO dark
      - No idea where to go
      - Unsure how to start finale
      - Underwater path 'puzzle' doesn't work because bots shoot the tabs and brings the path down, no way to get back up
      - Nothing really makes sense.... theres a window that you can break and jump through but you still must find a key to unlock a door?
      -

      Overall
Don't bother with this map. It has some cool features but the dev did not replay his map to realise the problems. No sense of direction, not fun.

      Great concepts, terrible execution

Was pretty fun and challenging, did it with 2 other friends but couldn't finish it because the finale bugged out on us multiple times, couldn't get past the "disco ball" area (on top of a bunch of other bugs throughout the map). I need a cigarette after trying to finish this map

      Pros:

      -Challenging
      -Long
      -Unique
      -Not Vanilla flavored

      Cons:

      -lag in 3rd map
-Puzzles may too hard to solve the first time

      Conclusion:

This map has to be the most unique and interesting map I've played, but there is quite a bit of lag in the 3rd map, there needs to be some clues about what to do.

      Pros:

      A GREAT TIME WITH FRIENDS
      RAW AND ROUGH
      DARK SCARY
      HARD PUZZLES
      LOTS OF TRAPS
      FAST PASTED
      VERY CHALLENGING

      Cons:

      lag in a couple
      BOTS ARE USELESS

      Conclusion:

      This thing is a monster. This was the first time i was smacked down {laughed at}
picked back up to be smacked down again for spite .
It took me and my friends two days to finish this campaign and we loved it.
I've never had a campaign where I was burnt, shocked ,dropped to my death, drowned, eaten by killer fish, crushed, thrown ,teleported, and my favorite ---SHOT OUT OF A CANNON!?!--- ALL of this is with a story of a sinister Dr.Norton. I hope Part 2 will be the same as this one.but what i don't understand is why the low ratings on this one. This is one of the (if not they best map) I've played...I do have a lots of great ideas that would be great in your next campaign. If so you can catch me through a steam and to restate that this was a great play... we never laughed so hard trying to stay alive.
***Thanks Again for this fantastic campaign Tags. by the way, any idea for the release of part two?

      Pros:

Dark and scary for the newbie!
Hard puzzles will test your logical brain for once in l4d2!
      Action packed.
Great start setting and fun finale with plenty of puzzles in-between.

      Cons:

Near unplayable framerate on map 3 near the waterfall.
Still a beta but shows great concepts.
A bit too dark in areas (is this intended?) so keep that flashlight on.
More hints needed in map 4.

      Conclusion:

If there ever was a physiological thriller within the l4d mythos this would be it. Left4Dust surpases maps like silent hill to give players one hell of a time in l4d2. A puzzle, fantasy map that you will want to play multiple times just relive the mind screw. Most maps are huge with epic scale with dynamic areas. Note: requires at least 2-3 humans for completion.

      its awful.

      Conclusion:

Wanted to just suicide every round. Even gave it a chance but just made me more insane. Meet me at the mental hospital.

Otherwise.5 for Good effort i liked the traps and ideas ill give you that :) but really wanted to destroy that lag it made me want to kill you.

      Pros:

      +Nice traps and hints.
      +Quite fun, I personally enjoy puzzle/fantasy maps.
      +Decent amount of difficulties.
      +Decent amount of supplies.
      +There's a story to it.
+May seem frustrating, but there is always a way out.

      Cons:

-Bots aren't compatible (aka requires human players to be less frustrating)
-Most areas are too dark to see clearly.
-map3, drain. massive graphic fps drop near the end of the waterfall, and the whole room in general. its not the blue orb(demon) causing that. i believe its the waterfall/ fog effect causing fps drop rate.
-map4, hole. the nade launcher bonus platform. are you intend to make 1 person fall to death on top of it and get another person to use the defib provide uptop, activate it in mid-air to prevent death? if thats the case, its not working. and the bonus is not worth the challenge.
-map4, hole. the water room with the pushing wall can easily be glitched by items getting stuck inside the movable wall, making the gate shut forever.
-map5, finale. i have instructor turned on, it did not tell me what exactly i need to go or do, had to start up my own cheat server to explore the map in order to find out how to activate the finale.
-lack of decent level of supplies if you just skip the first few maps. the campaign is long, and even if you know the route, its still tedious if you have to go through it all again. starting with a pistol and nothing else is kind of harsh. ( no score deduction )
-map REQUIRES at least 2 human player. ( no score deduction )

      Conclusion:

Even though I'm giving this map a 6.8/10, I still like this map a lot. I'm trying to get my friends to play with me since it is quite impossible to do so with bots. Even with bot fix, it's still a massive pain in the butt. The idea is great, and I like how you need to look around to find clues. Game instructor didn't really help much, most clues requires observation and a bit of brain thinking. I would say, if you're a brainer and actually like challenges and solve puzzle, then this is a map for you. But if you just like holding a shotgun and blast away without a care in the world, please go somewhere else.

      Cons:

      dark in a few spots..
clues weren't there until i turned on the game instructor.. not really a CON .
bots die to easy.. but cant instruct them like players..so. not a con there ether.

      Pros:

Reminds me of Silent Hill. Excellent game add on. Even on easy very tough game, really keeps you on your toes. Lots of fun. Lots of really exciting twists that I haven't seen on any other add on's, or regular games from L4D to L4D2.

      Cons:

I didn't see anything or play anything that would be against it.

      Conclusion:

Again a very excellent, enjoyable mind-blowing twister of an add-on.

      9.4

      Pros:

      - This is not the standard run through as fast as you can to the safe room campaign. For a different type of series it is a relaxing (sometimes) type that a few other authers have also attempted to do for a visual and thinking campaign.
      - Innovative, puzzle style campaign.
      - The extra textures and objects really add to the enjoyment of this series when you take your time to examine. Look up, look around.
      - Secrets add things such as alternate paths through a map.
      - When you take your time in an area you can find hints on where to go. Such as a few arrows. These are not easy to find though. Especially when your drowning. lol.
      - Game instructor gives story type clues on what to do or watch out for.
      - A quick healing pool when you stand in it. This is an innovative way for health when you discover it.
      - Good flow and challenge.

      Cons:

      - A little dark in a couple areas where you need to see better such as the pool that a player needs to shoot wall blocks to move on. Too hard to see too far in the dark.
      - Needs a little more ammo spread out. Players run out of ammo and panic. Otherwise using pistols is good until you need your machine gun. It saves some ammo.

      Conclusion:

This is very creative for an authors first campaign. Fun for an individual but even more fun when you do it as a group. More players to look at areas and figure things out. Its amazing what different eyes will see. I feel that the map is good to play to mix it up, something new, and nonetheless something different. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind playing a thinking and exploring set of maps. I look forward to the changes you make here and your next campaign.

      9.8

      Pros:

Fantastic original maps, gets away from the standard buildings etc. Difficult to figure out, however, the clues are there if you have a sharp eye. The dangerous jumps have to be precise, or you got to start over. Got to use game instructor to better understand what to do.

      Cons:

Very difficult in normal - can't imagine playing in advanced, trying to navigate dangerous terrain while hoards and special infected are attacking. Should probably hold back the attacks while having to make the dangerous, precise jumps. The informative clues that pop up should stay up a little longer, as it's hard to read when you are fighting at the same time.

      Conclusion:

A very original, very challenging campaign, not designed for beginners, rather for experienced players. Can't wait to see more maps from the designer of this, as there are unique aspects which will make you want to play this again and again.
