Decent Enough But Suffers from Bot Nav Failures

This is an average-length four-map campaign that takes place mostly inside industrial facilities and briefly outside in some woods at night. I had low expectations going in given the reviews, but I was genuinely surprised at actually good level layout. The layout is actually pretty damn good; I've seen a lot worse from highly rated ones. The maps don’t particularly look that special, but some aspects, such as breaking out of and into jail cells and certain side rooms, were kind of interesting. The events are totally unremarkable, consisting entirely of waiting for a door to open while being attacked by hordes (this happens more than a few times throughout the campaign). Certain climbable walls, such as in the map 2 sewer, are unindicated as such. Resource distribution is inconsistent. It’s very easy to miss the primaries in map 1 because they’re located in a jail cell you have to break into on the second floor. In the case of map 2, there is no group of medkits at all throughout the map. On the one hand, there are some rewards if you go exploring the side areas of the maps, but rarely does this lead to anything valuable. Adrenaline and pills are rarer than medkits here, and those are rare enough as it is, yet we never ran out of molotovs. Most saferooms don’t have four medkits, yet they often contain laser sights. The finale is so unbelievably easy to cheese, yet funnily enough the author clearly wanted you to cheese it by placing ammo and molotovs in a god spot.
Now the real problem of this campaign is the AI. Bot nav is terrible, since they refuse to pick up medkits, weapons, and ammo, and they teleport all over the place. The worst part of the bot nav is when the bots teleport behind slowly opening doors, which means they won’t help you fight off the hordes around you. Also, special infected can trigger hordes. This campaign could be good if it had a lot of work on the bot nav, so if you’re going to play it, you should find some friends to play it with. I'd say this is decent for a one-off if you can find two or three other people.

*REPOST Perfect aside from too much horde spam, navmesh is not friendly to the tanks it seems, i had probably 5 tank suicides throughout the campaign (thankfully) heheh.

      Don't Waste Your Time

      PROS
      The design looked pretty good

      CONS
Constant issues with bots not grabbing things
      No balance
Map 1 only had pistols and melee
Map 2 there's no direction where to go

      CONCLUSION
This campaign attempts to be one of the iconic custom campaigns that don't follow traditional L4D2 rules. However, it does not keep the balanced gameplay that is needed. If you're gonna put all starting supplies/guns outside the saferoom, it shouldn't be halfway through a map. Map 1 gave me nothing but pistols, some katanas, and of course, the bots wouldn't touch the first medkits we saw. When I got to the sewers in Map 2 and couldn't find a path due to inadequate direction, I decided I was done. I think there is a good campaign in there, but it needs a ton of fixing.

      Pros:

      -very impressive design

      Cons:

      -ways are too long
-the opening gates are too slow, one would have been enough
-zombies were spwaning in the saferoom at the beginning of a map
      -not enough first aid
-at the beginning we just found melee/pistols

      Conclusion:

Nice idea and nice design but there are too many bugs and the things I named take a lot of fun away.

      4.8

      Pros:

      - Breakable jail cells (great idea)
      - Pleasant graphically.
      - No crashes.
      - Smooth run 'n' gun romp.

      Cons:

      GENERAL

      - Bots will not pick up guns or health packs unless I pushed them physically right next to it, and even then some didn't.
      - 1 Katana per map and no other melee weapons. Need more variety.
      - Every map feels the same. Bland.

      MAP 1

      - Sewer entrance MUST have a ladder going back up. We dropped in and a tank spawned in the tunnel mouth, blocking us without any mean of escape.
      - Lack of weapons and supplies. First safe room is empty and you don't come across a lot of guns or ammo pile on your way.

      MAP 2

      - Invisible pipe ladder to make your way up in the sewer. I thought I was lost until I tried to climb the wall and succeed. The second pipe IS visible however to climb to the surface.

      - Too many doors in the train tunnel area. It ends up looking unrealistic.
      - Not a single health item anywhere before the safe room.
      - Checked pink wall near the safe room (under one of the two AC units)

      MAP 3

      - Bots pick up guns but not health packs.
      - "Here they come!" horde event for no reason as I entered the bunker area. Then, same thing as I get out ...
      - In area where there is a cabin with guns and ammo, as I navigated up and down the side hills, zombies kept re-spawning below around the said cabin.
      - Missing poster or sign texture on a wall.
      - Bots won't pick up guns or ammo in underground bunker area.
      - Bots teleport ahead of me passed the triple gate event.

      MAP 4

      - No ammo pile after the safe room.
      - Missing on texture again on metal fence
      - Once you all jump on the train, you teleport to the safe room as the success music plays.
      - Finale is too easy.

      Conclusion:

Not the worst, but too bland to have any replay value.

      6.2

      Pros:

      • Decent Setting
      • Decent Design
      • Decent Layout
      • Fair Lighting
      • [50/50] Finale Location is Seems Nice

      Cons:

      • Bot Nav is Very Poor [Except Map 4]
      • Invisible Object [Map 1]
      • Pink Checker Board [Map 3 and 4; Signs?]
      • Pink Checker Wall [Map 2]
      • Terrible Horde Events [Some Have No Hordes]
      • No Mercy Sewers Repetition [Map 2]
      • Getting out of Sewers is Confusing
      • Unnecessarily Random Horde Event
      • Infected Spawn is Bad
      • [50/50] Finale is Fairly Unpleasant
      • Infected Having Trouble Climbing Over Fence [Finale]
      • Mind-Numbing Throughout

      Conclusion:

Campaign isn't very engaging and is a rather dull. It could've been better but it's not. So...only play it if you have some spare time, otherwise it's just there.
