Going off what phon brought up, this is more of a modified MP7 than an Alyx Gun. Simply put, Alyx's gun looks much different; it is only portrayed as a pistol in the Half-Life games, regardless of any additional unused content. The textures and possibly the model base you used belongs to the MP7. Had you used the Alyx Gun textures and model base, this would have passed as one in my book. However, this weapon clearly looks like a modified MP7 to me, and I believe it should be named as such.

I do believe it is referred to as Alyx Gun because this MP7 was a HL2 mod replacing Alyx's gun.
