      nice map but some errors.

Very good quality map. but this version has errors in Chapter 3 when playing with mods.
And the version uploaded to the Steam workshop crashes at the finale.
I played a map made by mixing these two versions with each other and there were no errors.
Chapter 1 and Chapter 3 were very impressive. the difficulty was appropriate, and it was fun.
      • Can I ask how you were able to mix the two versions with no errors?

Visually beautiful campaign, with interesting apocalyptic slavic-esque environments to explore. One thing I will say is, the sound design is a bit strange to me. I don't see the point of keeping your self composed music/sounds in the campaign if I can barely hear them, I would appreciate them a lot more if I could actually hear them, but they're so quiet and everything is less impactful as a result. Other than that though, pretty nice campaign, could've benefited with some survivor dialogue but it doesn't take away from the experience all that much. Definitely worth a try, not your traditional L4D campaign so you may or may not like it. Chapter 3 might be a bit challenging, as it throws a tank and horde at you after your hard work collecting all the items to progress, not sure this was a good design choice, but leave supplies before the panic event instead of far away so we can prepare, this is something L4D had that you shouldn't've ditched, and maybe a "Be ready to fight the horde..." to go along with that yeah? xD

VERY BAD MAP PLANNING, need to solve puzzle, didn't enjoy the game

wasting a lot of time to search for bloody batteries, no clue, no indicator and zombie non stop coming.
didn't enjoy this map at mall.
why can't you tagged this map as "involve puzzle solving"? many L4D players don't like solving puzzle in L4D.
      • Probably this kind of map doesn't suit you. You'd better look for linear maps without puzzles. & this wouldn't have happened if you had read the comments & reviews first before playing. Many people already commented & made reviews about this map having some puzzles.

      An excellently made bad campaign.

Played on advanced with three bots, did not finish.

It starts off very strong; the aesthetic is fantastic, with the lighting and attention to detail in the map. The first map was short enough for a starting map and was fun to play, especially when looking for fuses which spawn randomly. I would say the first map was the best of the four. The second map is where things started to go downhill. Like the first, the map looks great, with excellent ambience and attention to detail which not only is pleasing to look at, but also helps point the way to go. However, the second map very linear and is fairly long, especially when considering it ends in a timed hold out against a horde. The third map is by far the worst of the four and may be one of the worst L4D2 experiences I've had the displeasure of playing. Like the second map, it is much too long in length. It starts with a wide open plain with an entrance into some sewers. The horde triggered upon entering the sewers is much too easy to deal with, as the only way points to the survivors are through a narrow doorway, and up a ladder. Once in the sewers, I found myself wanting greatly for any kind of tier 2 weapon, grenade, or small health item. You'd be lucky to find any pills in the map, let alone adrenaline for when three of your team mates are down from the constant hordes. That's anther problem, the hordes. Map 3 has hordes at every turn. First there's a horde when entering the sewers. Then there's a horde opening a gate in the sewers. There's a wide open area with a tower you must climb up to press a switch. This switch starts power which triggers a horde. The horde will not stop (which is not mentioned) until you press and hold a button on a generator back down below the tower. The tower itself has a turret on it which is nice, except it's positioned to cover only the least used direction commons come from. Once you've cleared the gate, there's a choke point ladder which is very hard to clear out from below; good luck if a boomer is camping it. Normally, this ladder should be the end of the map, which I initially thought it was. However, exiting the building you emerge from, you enter a wide street setting littered with broken down cars. Now you are tasked with finding two car batters, each of which trigger a horde upon collecting, that can spawn in random locations. Searching for these batteries is extremely tedious. Their possible spawns are all too far apart and they do not have any ammo or guns to hunker against during the forced hordes. When you find both batteries, then you must construct some kind of gate to proceed, and when you trigger the fuel pump to open said gate, it forces yet another horde and tank at the same time. You'd think after all that, you would finished with the map, and yet the map continues, you need to go through a pool and through another open street to get to the final building which finally contains the third saferoom. The fourth map is the finale, however I did not get to see how the campaign ends. When I set the first explosive and triggered the endless horde, I found myself stuck on the rooftop with nowhere to go. The only indication of direction I could find was the graffiti on the walls which was blocked by a wooden plank. I did not get to explore any further as this was when my game crashed, like so many others' have too. Overall I would say there is some clear talent shown in this campaign, with the art style, the custom item hunts, and the voice acting all should have led to a great campaign. The major downfall of course was the map design. Too long, too frustrating, and too random. I would not play this campaign again.
      • I finished this three times & I had no problem with it. My clue for the finale is, you have 2 objectives. First one is destroying the barricades on street so the rescue vehicle can go to the rescue location. & the second one is destroying certain wooden planks by planting c4 on them. After finishing them, the real finale is waiting ahead.
        .
Well it's true that this campaign is confusing on the first try, but once played on the 2nd try, it's not that difficult. The finale was the most confusing, but somehow I could handle it after looking around & finding the objects to destroy. There are more frustrating campaigns than this one, for example, the old Silent Hill campaign, & Power Station. I don't recommend those two, because the difficulty is much higher than this one.

The most imersive campaign that i ever played.

I'm a big fan of Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl and Metro 2033, and this campaign just mix everything that i like. Zombies, radiation and reality. The level design cross the line of absurd. So many details that is hard to pay attetion on zombies. A hard campaign, thank god. New gameplay, with some custom events. Its just, amazing. The campaign has some problems, this, everyone knows. May occurs crashs and fps drop. But yet, stills worthy.

      Unique, but kinda dull

The campaign has an original theme, great visuals, plenty of custom assets, and moody atmosphere. It also has its share of special events, different routes, and gameplay mechanics. The maps, however, seem somewhat repetitive, especially when the game forces you to salvage car batteries in a fixed order, then backpedal half the map, all the while being attacked by micro-hordes - these are as annoying as a weak rain compared to something you'd want to use an umbrella in. The sound of the good ol' Soviet weather broadcast with "Manchester et Liverpool" brings joy to any post-Soviet country player, especially hearing the soothing voice announcing the temperature in Ukraine, reminding of the times when Russia and Ukraine were sister states. Some graffitis are misspelled, but usually not to the point of pure ridiculousness. The health and ammo supplies are less generous than I'm used to, and considering the lasting-ness of the campaign, this does not help its replayablility. I finished the campaign solo without cheating on Normal.

Incredibly entertaining, stunning aesthetics, an overall enjoyable experience

A friend and I decided to run through some custom campaigns one night after getting rather bored of having played the original campaigns into the triple digits. This was first on the list, and boy did it set the bar pretty damn high! The visuals are absolutely stunning, especially in the abandoned mall at the beginning of the first chapter and the city with the playground later on in the campaign.
There were very few issues throughout the entirety of the experience aside from a few minor path finding problems with the bots (For example, struggling to climb up a ladder or getting stuck on what seemed like nothing), but a pretty big problem was that the finale seemed to bug on our first couple of attempts. Without spoiling more than is necessary, there is a section where a player must press a button next to a set of double doors before proceeding along a makeshift wooden path blocked by barbed wire. After pressing the button, we would find ourselves unable to make progress and be stuck in that area fighting endless hordes, specials and Tanks while nothing happened.
But aside from that bug, this campaign is absolutely fantastic. A must for anyone looking for an enjoyable custom campaign for Left 4 Dead 2. 8/10

good old fashioned quality long campaign!

Not much I am willing to say about this, mainly because I'd rather people experience it for themselves.
What I'll say for now is if you've been holding out on downloading a campaign now's a good time!
This campaign takes me back to the good old days of the first Left 4 Dead when campaigns were long but also great.
You don't see a lot of that done well together any more, so don't miss out on this campaign!

      Pros:

      + Great atmosphere
      + Interesting map design
      + Objective based

      Cons:

      - Not enough keypoints for such a fascinating place
      - Poorly designed finale
      - Frequent CTD in finale (happened for all 4 players at different times)

      Conclusion:

Finale definitively needs some improvement. Could use one more map.

      Pros:

      - Different from other campaign styles
      - Gameplay might be playable if it were without lags.

      Cons:

      - Huge lags and crashes
      - Fps drops, and while fps doesn't drop it still feels like lagging.
      - Sometimes you don't know what to do, especially when you're told to get batteries was searching with my friend for batteries for like 10 minutes because didn't know what kind of batteries we had to be looking for, in the end it sorted out to look for car batteries inside cars.
      - Bots wonder around and die.

      Conclusion:

      I wouldn't recommend.

      Pros:

      - realistic environment (+3)
      - imitation of Chernobyl (+1)
      - missions (+1)

      Cons:

      - awful 1st part of finale (-3)
      - awful 2nd part of finale (-2)

      Conclusion:

This campaign was really good with innovations like I've never seen before. The first maps were balanced whereas balance suffered during map 3 and 4! The overall design was just awesome that's why I really wanted to rate this map better than 5/10 but the finale was just too illogical and useless. Why do I have to wait 3-5 waves for a door to open? No apparent reason - that shattered the whole image of the campaign for my taste, because there was so much potential you really had and you actually put into map 1,2 and 3! This was wasted on the last map unfortunately :(

      Pros:

Different atmosphere throughout the whole campaign
      Textures look fantastic
      Decent amount of maps

      Cons:

Won't be able to complete the campaign if played in Single Player.Bots get stuck during the finale
Bot navigation is just awful. They rarely pick up First Aid Kits and tend to get stuck in various areas easily

      Conclusion:

This is a very fun campaign to play. The first to third map was just fantastic the textures and atmosphere of this campaign just feels different to the other Custom Campaigns but that can't be said for the finale of the campaign. The bots tend to get stuck when the rescue vehicle arrives and there is no way ever to complete this campaign in Single Player mode except if you kill all the other bots.
This is absolutely not a bad campaign it's far from that but the bot navigation in this campaign is just something major that couldn't be ignored.I recommend playing this Custom Campaign with friends to get the best experience

      Pros:

      Different environment.
      Weapons caches aren't too plentiful.
      Radiation effect is cool.

      Cons:

When playing single player the bots are terrible. They rarely pick up health kits. Bots also seem to have some nav trouble around simple barricades.

      Conclusion:

      Fun campaign.

      Pros:

      -Amazing textures, and models.
-Light in some places was perfect.
-Nice locations, specially from an visual perspective.
-The changes made from the original version to 2.0 are a big improvement.
-Original OST works and is rather a joy to listen to at times.
-Finale escape sequence improved greatly. As well as an interesting escape video.

      Cons:

-Overall boring level design. It's nice to look at, but boring to play.
-Level 2-3 transition is still wonky, but it's clear now as compared to before.
-The finale is still rather boring, and the bots can get stuck not getting into the escape vehicle zone.

      Conclusion:

-The campaign is wonderfully dark and well lighted, it's extremely hard to get actually lost.
-The technical and level design choices do make some areas somewhat boring.
-Most major flaws have been dealt with a fixed. Most of what remains are just technical design flaws.
-Dniepr is worth a play through.
-2.0 is a much needed fix, and the improvement shows. A lot of love went into this, and now I can safely say it was worth it. Play this.

      Pros:

      Looks good, really good
      Wisely thought Crescendos
First two maps and first half of 3rd

      Cons:

Last map is one big fail - loses all impression, dull action (shoot everything that moves), unnecessary Gauntlet, Special Infected spam, rescue didn't happen (fading to black? rly?) - I wish I didn't play it...
...especially that game crashed when loading it after 3rd map - dunno wtf is happening, from last 5 campaigns I've downloaded and played only Dam it 2! didn't crashed and was bug-free
      Levitating weapons on 2nd map
Bots weren't taking medkits on last map
Second half of 3rd map (generators) was plain, boring and unsuccessful
Lags after throwing Molotov/shooting at gas can
Pointing to saferoom is good, but putting safehouse spray every 5 metres makes me feel like I'm playing Call of Duty
      No voice from radio

      Conclusion:

If you'll play this, play only first three maps - when you'll finally get to the surface, just turn the game off. Otherwise you'll get a huge disappointment when playing finale.
Remember, kidz - graphics is not everything
