Description
This is probably the youngest brother of all bot mods I made (the twin eldest brothers Merciless Bots (Complete Ver) & Merciless Bots (Simple Ver), & elder brother Enhanced Angry Bots). "What makes it different from its 'elder brothers'?" Well, if you want to sort them based on complexity, this mod gets the lowest position, like this: 1. Merciless Survivor Bots (Complete Ver): This one is a "jack-of-all-trades", with lots of features bundled into one mod, from bot-related to non-bot-related features, from balanced to OP features. 2. Enhanced Angry Bots: This one is simpler with much less features, but some non-bot-related features can still be found here. 3. Merciless Survivor Bots (Simple Ver): Simple version of "Merciless Bots" that completely removes all non-bot-related features, with some bot-related features that the complete version doesn't have. 4. Cruel Bots: Here it is, the youngest brother. For now, the features focus on boosting bot's "cruelty" (probably some bot-related features will be added later). Very simple, small & portable, so it can be used together with other bot mods. To put it simply, features on this mod are so simple that people only need few seconds to configure (or they can leave the settings as the default ones). For now, there are only few features available in "cruel bots.txt" cfg file: 1. Cruel LevelThis controls bot's cruel (difficulty) level. There are
4 levels. 0= default L4D2 (if you want to use other bot
mods' settings for this). 1= Bots shoot on sight (default
setting of this mod). Max value 4= Bots shoot on sight,
semi berserk mode, & auto zombie scan every second.
2. Berserk ModeHow long bots keep shooting when certain conditions are
triggered (taking damage from zombies, shoving common
infected, detecting special infected's abilities). The value
is equal to second.
3. Threat Detection LevelThis will automatically configure certain cvars that affect
bot's "cruelty" & how far bots can detect zombies. The
value works as multiplier. Max value is 20 (20= bots can
detect zombies 20x farther than the default L4D2 bots).
4. Ability Detection LevelThis controls whether bots can detect special infected's
abilities (tongue, charge, ride etc) or not. When enabled,
special infected will automatically aggro survivor bots &
make them attack the special infected using the ability.
Value affects whether tank (rock throwing) is included or not.
5. Auto Self DefenseWhen taking damage or shoving common infected, bots
have certain chance to stumble common infected nearby
in melee range. The percentage of chance is affected by
the value. Max value= 100 (100% chance).
6. Etc (due to limited characters on description, more features will be listed on "Instructions") * NEW FEATURE: Grenadier Bots (bots can throw grenade). Check the changelog for the details (the max characters on the mod description is limited) With this mod, probably bots will start to look down on you, as they may kill zombies fast enough like main characters, while you'll look more like a supporting character if you're not active enough in killing zombies (like what I did on the video preview, becoming a supporting character for my bots lol). Notes: - This mod should be able to be used together with other bot mods, as it's a very simple mod with very simple vscripts (See this video preview about how this mod was used together with Left 4 Bots 1)

6. Auto Taunt"Auto Taunt" is a feature to make bots talk using talker
when killing zombies. The chance of bots talking is based
on the value set. Bots will be so arrogant with this feature
7. Auto Retreat From Tank"Auto Retreat From Tank" is a feature to make bots retreat
immediately when seeing a tank. The value affect certain
conditions when seeing tank, like whether a bot retreats
only when dealing damage on tank in closer range, any
range or when they detect tank spawning nearby.
8. Emergency Warp"Emergency Warp" is a feature to make bots warp
immediately to player's location under certain conditions
set by the value, like when a survivor is caught by special
infected, tank is preparing a rock, or when they're too
close to tank or witch. Bots can also warp immediately
when player presses "TAB + E" when picking an item,
opening a door or pressing some switches. & after
warping, bots have "Temporary Friendlyfire Immunity" for
5 seconds.
9. Assassin Mode"Assassin Mode" is a feature to make bots deal more
damage to special infected, tank or witch depending on
the value set. When "Assassin Mode" is triggered under
certain conditions (detecting special infected's ability,
tank's rock throwing ability, witch's rage when startled by
a survivor), bots have a special buff for 5 seconds, &
during the 5 seconds of duration, bots deal damage equal
to 10% of special infected's current health, 1-2% of tank's
current health, & 10% of witch's current health, depending
on the conditions of the value set. In other words, this is
bot's "Critical Attack".
10. Auto Health Regen"Auto Health Regen" is a feature that allows bots to slowly
recover health buffer. The value affects whether the health
regen is triggered by killing zombies, or automatically in
every second.
11. Prioritize Primary GunWhen enabled, this feature will force bots to switch to
primary guns immediately when they try to use secondary
weapon while there's still lots of ammo clip left for primary
guns.
12. Sabotage Tank RockWhen enabled, this feature will make bots affect tank's
throwing accuracy as long as they keep shooting him when
he's preparing the rock. When it's successful, tank's rock will
fall to the ground earlier before it reaches a survivor.
