Not really challenging but very fun.

This campaign is a slightly short and easy, but still very fun to play.^^ Survivors starts from the house in forest, go through the trainyard and the town, and finally arrive the church to call the helicopter to escape. After calling the rescue, players can use the miniguns and throables to defend against the zombie and tanks. Overall this campaign is really nice and well-designed. Nice work!^^

      Overall a well-designed campaign

I actually had to play this campaign twice to reach the end once, because due to some of my add-ons conflicting with each other, the game crashed on the third map of my first playthrough.

Despite this, I was having a great time exploring every map. Thanks to clever use of lighting, I had an easy time navigating through the campaign and the design of each map was fantastic, even though some few areas lacked a bit of detail, especially near dead ends. This isn't very obvious unless you really look for it.
The placement and variety of supplies was excellent and searching for them usually felt rewarding. The only thing I wasn't exactly happy about was the finale, in which throwables were abundant and both the amount and variety of primary weapons to choose from left to be desired. I checked every building and while molotovs, pipe bombs, vomit jars, pain pills and adrenaline were anything but scarce, the only guns I was able to find were a SPAS-12 and an M16 (or, in my case, an M4A1). I don't remember seeing any first aid kits either, but I didn't exactly search every single corner and when out in the open, I tried to stay close to light sources.
During the finale, which had the director throw about 10 Special Infected and two Tanks at me, I was having no hard time holding out sitting on the ammo pile directly next to the HAM radio. The insane amount of throwables also made rushing towards the rescue vehicle rather easy, since the Common Infected that came rushing at me from all directions could easily be taken care of with a well-aimed pipe bomb.
I played through the campaign in single player mode on Advanced difficulty and even though everyone was close to dying at least once throughout the campaign, noone ever died once, although I was well-prepared for the worst case scenario, having a defibrillator with me at any given time and leaving the first aid kits to the bots. I counted a total of 11 defibrillators from the first map to the last.

I highly recommend giving this campaign a try.

      Top tier

Difficult but fair, just the way I like it. Maps are long but that's something I enjoy. Good work

      An unknown gem found

I don't know how I missed this map before - just ran across it with some luck, and boy, it is outstanding. Some really great details and visuals, and something very few maps do: you can see your eventual target far in the distance with each map leading to the finale, getting closer with each one. Some of the locations are really beautiful, and the ammo and item frequency and placement is almost spot on. There were three times that I came across an ammo pile on my last clip. My only criticism: there were a few places in natural environments where some of the earth ledges were too sharp, particularly the edges over water. But if you have yet to try this campaign, you are missing out - it is a keeper - almost the same quality as the stock maps.

      Very Well Made

I believe this is a very good map, i encountered no bugs while playing and i enjoyed playing it all the way to the last level, i personally thing there might have been a bit too much supply distribution, but i wouldn't let something like that lower my rating since it was a good map, thats whats most important.

good old fashioned quality long campaign!

Not much I am willing to say about this, mainly because I'd rather people experience it for themselves.
What I'll say for now is if you've been holding out on downloading a campaign now's a good time!
This campaign takes me back to the good old days of the first Left 4 Dead when campaigns were long but also great.
You don't see a lot of that done well together any more, so don't miss out on this campaign!

      Pros:

      • Good Setting
      • Nice Atmosphere
      • Good Map Layout and Design
      • Good Finale Location

      Cons:

      • Invisible Barriers on certain places
      • Some Places Are Very Dull

      Conclusion:

Campaign is fairly fun in certain aspects but its rather lackluster and its sort dull in most parts. Also its annoying to find those invisible barriers.

      Pros:

      -Long maps
      -Nice settings
      -Well-designed
      -Last finale

      Cons:

-A bit bland sometimes, specially in map 2 (-0.2)
-Few weapons and supplies, more annoying than challenging
-Lot of hordes, which keeping in mind the complain above (-1.5)
-Tanks in the last finale spawn far away (-0.5)

      Conclusion:

Pretty good map, although not amongst my MUST HAVE collection. Still, very interesting to play, and that finale...

Maybe some more (and better) weapons should be placed in the first two maps, also, some more supplies, maybe some pipe/molotov or some pills. Definitely not both, though, that would make it too easy.

Great work overall, pretty good map, but it needs some tweaks imo. As it is now, it doesn't look like it will stay in my collection.

      5.8

      Pros:

      - Alternative pathways
      - Scattered items
      - Plenty of places to explore
      - Nice tower in the finale
      - No major glitches

      Cons:

      - Bot infected spawn at the same time, so there are times when there is no special infected at all, then they all come at once.
      - Extremely similar to blood harvest (same saferoom ect)
      - Too many blocked areas which look accessible but are really blocked for no reason
      - Too generic
      - Tank spawns too far away in the finale, extremely easy to kill

      Conclusion:

Overall an OK campaign with no major glitches however there is a lot of work still needing to be done on the texture and detail of this piece as it is too generic and is extremely similar to the blood harvest campaign. None the less, it is still enjoyable

      9.2

      Pros:

      +All maps included are well-built
      +No texture or object errors
      +Runs well (little-to-no noticeable lag)

      Cons:

-A constant, never-ending onslaught of zombies. Really, this comes down to personal preference, but I was playing on normal, and it seemed absolutely incessant even then. (-0.1 b/c preferences)
-Very generic layouts--nothing that really stands out from the pack. (-0.5)
-Tank at the opening may overwhelm underarmed/surprised parties. (-0.2)

      Conclusion:

It is technically well put-together, though I didn't personally care for it. Were it tighter and didn't simply feel like an onslaught campaign, I might enjoy it more.

However, despite my feelings, it is still a very good campaign.

      Pros:

+Diverse, includes many bathrooms and kitchen types (some bathrooms do not even include toilet paper!)
      +No lack of ammunition
+Special Events (such as waiting for a horizontal door to open while it emits no audio and yet attracts a massive crowd!)

      Cons:

      -Too generic
-Lack of unique weapons in unique places
-Open map with many unnecessary corners and openings
      -Finale is abstract

      Conclusion:

Good length l4d2 map with a generic sub-campaign feel, even the vanilla campaign does a better job overall.

      9.8

      Pros:

      -Great level design, diverse locations.
-Good detail put into the look of the map, feels great
      -Long maps (especially Maps 1+2)
-Above average difficulty, can be challenging, but very fun
-A lot of "points of no return". Forces the team to stay close, and makes for some intense tank battles.
-Path often splits, giving the player many choices to approach the same area.
      -No major glitches
-No major problems with Bot Navigation
-Finale was somewhat easy (compared to the rest of the campaign), but was more fun than most Finales I've played.

      Cons:

-Forced Tank/Witch on Map 1 is difficult and annoying. Perhaps too difficult for the first map. (-0.2)
-Perimeter detail is lacking (hundreds of spots that appear to be open, but block the player). On the other hand, zombies and infected are allowed to pass through these parts, making it possible for hordes to spawn virtually anywhere (very intense). (-0.2 for design, +0.2 for Functionality)

      Conclusion:

Overall, one of the most fun (and difficult) campaigns I've ever played. I've even found myself choosing it over many of the Valve campaigns. The map layouts are fantastic, the atmosphere is creepy, and the gameplay is intense. Definitely going to be playing this one again and again.
