This Was Bad
Multiple pathing is cool, but not when you're running around in circles in super thick fog with no idea where to go. The finale is absurd. Crashed to desktop. Not fun.

Troll Map
Yeah, I know. We all know these are troll maps. I'm not just discovering this. But I do like downvoting things that waste my time. It's a shame, because the Glubtastic campaigns have good level design and the author does a lot of custom animations and other custom stuff. It looks great in screenshots, but the gameplay is always utter trash. I find myself asking how someone could spend so much time creating to what amounts to troll content. It's like they're playing themselves more than the people they're trolling. The first short plane level was easy enough and I liked the surrealism, but you'll hit troll territory HARD the instant you start the second map. I was using Admin mod to bring people back as they went down and we still kept failing due to 10+ jockeys/smokers/chargers/boomers at the same time nonstop. Not fun in any way, shape, or form. I wonder what keeps this guy going despite knowing the vast majority of players aren't even going to see 90% of the content he creates. I think this will be my last Glubtastic attempt. I hate giving 1 star reviews.

Impressive Depth. Battle Of Attrition.
Wow. That was way longer than I was expecting. There are so many steps before escape. Took me 3 hours with bots. Probably the longest single map I've encountered for this game. I was really impressed by the depth of the level design and how everything kind of tied together. This is all about how long you can last (and puzzle solving). You can go back to specific locations periodically to get more health and ammo, but I can see this being a real challenge with 4 players even on Normal just because of how long you have to last, the constant hordes applying pressure, how scarce items can be at times, and how easy it would be for everyone to drift apart and get picked off. There were one or two parts that could be extra frustrating because they're well into the map and could potentially kill all 4 players at once, but they weren't hidden insta-kill situations and if people are paying attention it can be avoided. It can also be a bit annoying finding all the jade jewels, as they are small and in rather obscure locations. From what I could tell, I could finish the map without finding them, but chose to go back and find them and what they unlock makes it look like there's more than 1 ending available and I definitely recommend finding all the jade jewels if that's the case, because the ending I got was pretty impressive. I never figured out the piano thing. Only found 2 clues for it, but figured I could crack the combo since I knew 2 in the pattern of 4, but nothing I tried worked. So not sure about that. Only actual issue I found was that the escape vehicle was invisible. I'm only taking 1 star off simply because I think a lot of people will never finish this due to the length and difficulty. But if you took anything out or simplified anything, it wouldn't be what it was. It's great that stuff this comprehensive is still being released for this game. If you're playing with humans, make sure you've got people that are dedicated and aren't going to screw around and get themselves killed. Make sure at least one player holds on to a defib. Don't all go into a new room at the same time if it looks sketchy. And play to last. This is a marathon. Great work.
Good. Challenging.
Levels are of decent length. Played on Advanced. Ended up with 150-350 common kills per map, so they take effort to get through. Level 1 and 2 are the same thing back and forth, like Hard Rain, and that's fine. Level 3 is almost prohibitively hard with bots as they can't handle fighting that many tanks in a water environment, but it would make a solid challenge for a group of 4 human players on Advanced. Finale is reasonably difficult but not too hard with the right strategy. I crashed to desktop once in Level 3 right after starting the big horde with the radio. Didn't happen again on multiple playthroughs. A challenging map that works.
Glad you like it. I played multiple time with friends on different local servers and on my dedicatet server . We never crashed. So gonna be looking if anybody had that same problem. But should be ok i think. BTW in map 1 expect around 700 zombies. Never had less that 600.
Annoying
This campaign is annoying. I've played through it a few times. The last 4 maps people just start dropping out. Too long and uneventful. I have yet to finish it because people keep not understanding how to survive the gas room by slowly using health/pills so they die and we have to restart the last level, which is way too long, and then everyone just quits. But I can't beat it with bots because the bots all remain in the safe room, which prevents some of the walls from moving as all 4 players are not present. If I kick the bot and re-add them, they just add back to the safe room. If you fix that I'll give you 2 stars because then I'll at least be able to finish the campaign but it will still be too long and annoying.
A Rollercoaster Of Fail
Invisible walls Horde overload Horrible bots The "virtual rollercoaster" won't release the player, thus ending your round and forcing you to vote to return to lobby. This entire "campaign" is a mess. First time I've gone out of my way to delete a VPK in a while.

Looking Good. Solid Update.
This was a pretty hefty update from the last version. The first half or so is pretty much the same, but the 2nd half has a lot of changes and new additions. I like the English translations that are present throughout almost the entire campaign now. It helps me follow the narrative and I like the way you did it too. The bots don't always pick up health/pills, but they also didn't suicide anywhere and were generally pretty useful to me. This is also a nice, long campaign. Took me 2.5 hours with bots on advanced and no restarts. Only a few complaints. First, there are too many health kits. In some areas it's helpful, but in most areas it just makes things too easy. Second, there were 2 parts of the campaign where my ping spiked up to 100-150ms. I was hosting, so I shouldn't have gone beyond the default 5ms. It was playable and generally fine for me, but if someone joined my server they'd probably be spiking to 300+ms and wouldn't be playable for them. I can't remember the first area, but it was very brief. However, the entire cave level was like that. Something going on in that level that spikes the latency. Maybe the tanks. Overall, this was great. Awesome to see a sizeable update to an old campaign. It just needs to be a little harder. On advanced with bots, the only part that got my anxiety peaking was the cave level when all the tanks came out, but I just sacrificed my bots and ran. Oh, and I'm glad the dinosaurs are still around.

It Sure Is...Something
Typically I respect an act of creation. Typically. Bad. Just bad. If you make it as far as the 3rd level without losing all hope in mankind you'll have to find 4 keys to open a rock that's in front of the safe room door. Because keys open rocks. I never did find the 4th key. I don't think it exists, because the level is small and I looked everywhere. The mapper could simply be trolling us. I gave up because I couldn't justify continuing to try to care about this campaign. I don't know what the last 2 levels are like and I don't care. Deleted to get my hard drive space back. Can someone erase my memory of playing this?
Weird. I checked the water along the beach. Maybe I just missed it or maybe it was a glitch. The first time I played that level I didn't get the prompt at the rock to find the keys. Just had to wander around until I noticed a key.
I found the 4th key... it's along the beach, in the shallow water so it's hard to see the first time through. When you grab it, multiple Tanks drop from the sky. Some will land in the deep water and won't be a factor, but you'll have to deal with at least 2. And then of course there's the automatic horde after a few seconds...
Well Done With Minor Issues
At the end of the 1st level I was skeptical about the "Extended" title. The only change I noticed was the change from night to day. Turns out, that's the only change I disapprove of. It's Dark Wood. It should be dark. That's what made that 1st level harder and a little more scary. The light just takes the fear out of it. Other than that I really like the changes you made. They flow with the rest of the areas that remain the same and they make this campaign longer and noticeably more difficult, which I liked. I only found 1 easter egg. The "coin". Although I couldn't figure out how to access the area it seemed to be pointing out. Your mention of "massive easter eggs" makes me want to find them. Although I did listen to the entire 6-7 minute audio clip in that room. Nice little story there. I only found 1 actual issue. In the last level, when you drop down into the catacombs, the bots don't follow you. They won't warp to you either. So if you're playing alone, you're going to be doing the finale by yourself unless you use the console. I used the console to kick the bots and re-add them. They re-added dead, but then they spawned in a recovery room near the church, although their profiles weren't visible in the recovery room, I just had to follow their voices. Good job though. Way to breathe some life into this campaign.

Thanks for reporting the issue. Working on the fix.

Can't Play
Doesn't work. Crashes to desktop with "Engine Error: classname missing from entity!" whenever I try loading the campaign from my own local server. I tried multiple times. I have no conflicting addons. I don't use any character/weapon mods. All my other campaigns load just fine. Fix this and I'll change my review.

Absolute. Complete. Utter. Garbage.
I'm not even going to waste time reviewing details about this campaign as any more time associated with this "thing" is a total waste of time. It is absolutely horrible, like most campaign related content uploaded to this site in the last 6 months. I have to assume people that upload this kind of thing either don't playtest it and assume it's fine to upload, playtest it and have a totally twisted sense of what's acceptable, or are simply uploading it to troll us. The one detail I will mention is what a previous commenter already mentioned. The 2nd level requires 4 gas cans and there are only 2. As a mapper, how do you even screw something like that up? It's so absurd I feel I need to mention it. Here's +1 vote to have this removed from this website.

Umm
Ok. Where do I begin? Level 1 I guess. Every time something related to the Cube movies gets released for this game or any game I get excited because I love the movies. However, the concept never really translates well into a game. You make your way from cube to cube trying to find your way out of the maze and typically you get killed instantly by traps and have to restart. There are no traps in this one. That's fine. Just getting through the maze while killing zombies is enough. But the massive hordes and PLETHORA of tanks/witches make this painful. I had to dumb it down to Normal and sprint, leaving my bots as bait, just to make it through this level. Level 2. Back to the tanks/witches. There were so many I had to dumb the game down to Easy. When I got to the part where I had to crawl through the vent, my bots all teleported back to the safe room. There they remained for the duration of this somewhat long level. So I ended up completing 4/5ths of the level by myself, somehow never getting killed by the many special infected, witches, and tanks. Then I had to use the console to kick the bots to end the level and add them back in on the next map. Level 3. Pretty straight forward until the cornfield with a PLETHORA of witches. If I wasn't playing on Easy there would be no way to get through this. Then I get to the finale area. Before finding and hitting the radio there is apparently a short timer on tank spawns. They just kept spawning until I hit the radio. Then, after hitting the radio, there were no more tanks, just a loooong horde with no way of knowing if things were bugged out or if I was getting closer to the escape vehicle arriving. It finally arrive. Then, last but not least, the stats during the credits didn't work. I want to give props for creating something, as mapping isn't easy and requires a lot of time/patience. But at the same time this site has a ratings function so people can determine if they want to spend time playing something or not. With the bugs and the 20+ tanks and 30+ witches in a 3 map campaign, I'd have to say unless you're just really curious, avoid this.
Unplayable
Crashes to desktop switching from first map to second. I do not have the other campaign present which apparently has a conflict with this.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Tried new version (12/30/15) and while it doesn't crash to desktop switching from map 1 to map 2, now it just locks up L4D and I have to force quit it when switching from map 1 to map 2. No conflicting addons detected. Most of the addons I have are disabled anyway. All my other addons work without issue.

Current State - Unplayable
Maps are short. 3rd map has endless horde to safe room, which is fine, except that the endless horde (and specials) spawn from the safe room, resulting in multiple failed attempts to get inside the safe room once I reached it. Also, after the 3rd map, transitioning into 4th map, I crash to desktop with error stating "Exceeded limit of number of vpk files supported (512)!" Checked my addons folder and I only have 315 items within, most of which are disabled from within the game.
This review was posted before the latest release.
I'm not sure what this vpk problem may be, you're the first one that experienced this error in my map. Do you have my other campaign installed, Burning Night? They are conflicting, so if you have, this may be the problem. Except from this, I'm not sure yet what the problem may be.

Good Stuff
One of the better campaigns I've seen in a while. Good level design. Good level length. Good audio. Good difficulty. Refreshing finale.

This Is Long And Hard...That's What She Said
This campaign is like 8 maps. All long. Endless horde from beginning to end in every single one. At least 4 tanks per level. Bots don't pick up health packs. This is ridiculous. I ended up with 2300 common infected kills just to myself. That being said I beat half on Advanced with bots and the other half on Normal with bots. Never again. I completed it out of sheer spite. **And no, I wasn't on a modded server.**

Broke
- Elevator at subway terminal in second map doesn't work. Reset level multiple times. - Bots are essentially useless. They run off in random directions, sometimes really far away from you. They don't pick up items half the time. - Second to last level is ridiculous. Game lags big time whenever the screen turns grey. Still trying to figure out why the screen turns grey. Assuming it's because I'm close to the reactor. Can't make it through, even on normal, because the bots don't follow me. Another revamped campaign that ended up being a waste of time. Seems to be par for the course lately. Bots haven't been working in any of these re-releases.

many servers running mods will change the settings of l4d2, might be the reason for the deranged bots. I made sure that the two versions of my campaign use separate names for everything so there should not be any contamination. And the ai navigation for this version was built from scratch, there isn't much more I can do to it. people have mixed up the versions before, you CAN NOT run the original "pitch BLACK mesa" in "l4d 2" It will not work properly. this version is "pitch DARK mesa" which is designed for l4d 2 If the intro camera is sideways you're running the wrong version in the wrong game. the screen going grey is a shader effect, under video / advanced/ try setting the shader detail to low. the witches on my install were turned green because of server installed junk, might be time for a clear out and verify.

Horribad
PROS: None CONS: Too many to list. Conclusion: The bots don't work. They suicide. This can't be played unless you have human players. Elevator at beginning is broken. The first map was so horrible I didn't bother with the rest. Don't waste your time on this until an update arrives.

Pros:
None
Cons:
Everything
Conclusion:
This may be the worst L4D campaign I have ever played. Endless horde and bots don't work. Dumbed it down to normal and still couldn't get anywhere. Refuse to play on Easy. If there is going to be an endless horde it needs to be reduced and there needs to be more throwables. TL;DR: Don't download this if you value your time.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
- Level design is good.
Cons:
- Bots wander off - Infinite hordes - Not enough ammo - Places to get stuck
Conclusion:
Second level is just infinite horde. Not a fan of infinite hordes. Had to dumb it down to "Normal" to get past it. Last level I was on roof and I jumped on power boxes in caged area to get away from tank. Fell down into the area next to power boxes and couldn't get back out. Gave up. Didn't want to restart.

Pros:
- Great level design (including landmarks) - Solid difficulty throughout, no extreme fluctuation between easy and hard - Each map is long enough but not too long - Super fun horde events
Cons:
- No serious cons. Some parts were just a little too easy on advanced with 2 humans and 2 bots. And there may be a few too many throwables and pills laying around.
Conclusion:
This deserves to be ranked up there with the best. This is an extremely solid campaign. I had a great time playing it and it felt like it was the perfect length and almost the perfect difficulty. I live near SF and it was great finally seeing a solid campaign featuring the city and some of its landmarks (including the old Exploratorium location). The bridge and the cruise ship were awesome. Kudos for setting a new high standard for L4D campaigns.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
- No missing textures - Levels put together in a relatively realistic manner.
Cons:
- Tanks up on tanks upon tanks and in the most ridiculous places. - Bots fail to their deaths in almost every elevator or ladder. - Bots run off or get stuck or won't save you. - Sometimes confusing objectives.
Conclusion:
Waited 2 years for the bugged out electrified floor to get fixed. That was basically the only thing that was fixed. This campaign was far more annoying than fun. Bots are essentially useless. There are areas and even entire floors that contain no objectives or useful paths. Tanks are tossed around like confetti and in the most ridiculously annoying areas. It doesn't even lobby when it's over. You have to force exit. I ended up dying like 12 times. I usually play campaigns on advanced and may die once or twice. I had to dumb it down to normal a few times just to get through. I wasted my time to let you know not to waste yours.
Pros:
- Level design - Weapon/ammo placement
Cons:
- Levels are too long - Bots contantly get stuck and die - Tank on a street with 500 moveable cars...not fun - Endless hordes...not fun
Conclusion:
Level design is good, as well as weapon/ammo placement. But when you have to go from Advanced to Normal because the bots keep getting stuck and dying and a tank on a street with 500 cars kills all the bots instantly and you run into endless hordes that overhwlem you to the point where you can't move...and you still can't beat it...on normal...that's no good. Fix the endless hordes at the very least.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
- Multiple path options - Good level design - Music - Dialogue - Good supply locations - Finale
Cons:
- Some areas are a bit undetailed - Bot didn't get in helicopter during finale. Instead climbed down ladder into the tower.
Conclusion:
I really liked this one. Everything was pretty solid. May have been a little easy, but I was playing with some good players. The finale, as most are agreeing, was awesome. At the end of the finale, a bot climbed down the ladder into the tower instead of getting in the copter. Luckily, it was my server so I kicked him.
Pros:
- Great level design - Attention to detail - Hordes are appropriate and not overdone
Cons:
- Short - Too many item drops
Conclusion:
Short, but sweet. My only complaint is that there are too many item drops, which makes the campaign a little too easy. Other than that, I just wish there were more maps.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
- Good setting. Feels different. - Long maps
Cons:
- Environments are a little blocky - Map 2 safe room wouldn't close until I killed bots - At end of finale can't reach the escape vehicle because a hundred zombies spawn around me in a circle
Conclusion:
Overall I like the change of pace. Different setting switches things up a bit. See my cons for hints on improving.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
- Decent level design - Maps aren't short - Much improved weapon/ammo/health placement over previous versions
Cons:
- Map 4 ladders leading down from building are very glitchy and easy to fall off building from - map 4 bots won't follow you down ladders off building
Conclusion:
Told you I'd come back and change my rating. Still some work to be down. I'm increasing my rating and giving you extra points for releasing updates so promptly.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
- No object/bot glitches - No missing textures - Long campaign
Cons:
-Extreme over-use of special infected on 4th and 5th maps -Some areas a little confusing as to which direction to go
Conclusion:
What agitated me was that playing with 2 other skilled players, the 4th and 5th maps were more annoying than fun. WAY too many special infected. Had to dumb it down to Normal mode because we'd get overwhelmed by 3 jockeys, 3 smokers, a boomer, and a horde at the same time.
This review was posted before the latest release.
Pros:
- Long Levels - Sufficiently Challenging - Good Flow To The Levels - Lots of detail (dead people in cars, bricks broken from buildings where cars/helicopters smashed into them)
Cons:
- Gotta get that well fixed. Was confused for a long time playing with bots. Had to kill the bot. - Finale is a little much, at least on Advanced
Conclusion:
One of my favorite custom campaigns. Get the well fixed and maybe open up the area in the finale leading from the creek to the rescue area just a little so it doesn't become clogged with infected and almost impossible to get through on Advanced.
