      Review

Honestly a perfect campaign aside from poor navmesh on chapter 3. There were some weird oddities on this campaign like how Bill talks at the beginning of chapter 1 lol. Really gave me a No Mercy/oldschool vibe so I wouldn't be surprised if it was inspired, especially the finale. I know I've played this one before, but can't remember where, must've been used in a mashup.

      Ok but Short

Can't really say much besides that it isn't boring. It's also short and not original. 3/5

Like the mix of some official maps but nice & playable

When I started to play this, suddenly this reminded me of both No Mercy & Dead Air. Some environments looked like they were brought from those official campaigns. However, that's no problem to me as I could enjoy the play to the end with no error on bot navigation & no crash.
      .
      Pros:
      - The campaign works well
      - Bot navigation is fine
      - Supplies are ok in both medkits & weapons
      - The hints & highlights are clear
      .
      Cons:
      - All maps except map 1 & finale have endless panic event + SI.
      - Map 1 is too short. After the alarm door, survivors just need to walk for few seconds to reach the saferoom.
      - Tank on the finale often gets stuck & commits suicide. From 2 Tank events, only Tank from 2nd event came to chase us.
      - The location of rescue helicopter is predictable.
      - This campaign is like the lite version of No Mercy & Dead Air mix
      .
In overalls, the main problems of this problem are only two: endless panic event & tank getting stuck on finale. But I'll keep this campaign to play later because the bots & maps work well :) .

      Dark, dark, dark, and bland

This has to be the weakest campaign I played in a while. It is very dark at all times, up to the point it is teeth-grindingly and eye-hurtingly annoying. The maps have almost nothing original to offer (they may even be well-built but you can't tell that in the eternal darkness) and flood the gameplay with hordes instead. The first Tank in the finale had an aneurism, but he had his revenge when two of them appeared later.

No Mercy, but not as good

There are a few visual issues with this map - an elevator top that disappears into the shaft ceiling at the start of the campaign, oddly thin walls and floors, and the curse of most custom campaigns: a grid layout with every path, angle and piece of architecture comprised of 90 degree angles. There are even a few sections that seem to be lifted straight out of No Mercy.

Another issue - the campaign seems like a series of alarm events, one after another - maybe trying to ramp up the difficulty. The low point is the train event - not an interesting or fun place to defend. The high mark - ascending through the construction area over conveniently stacked sacks of concrete and wood. The lighting and atmosphere, however, are pretty solid. But the campaign offers nothing new or interesting - compared to the stock maps, it is bad. Compared to most custom campaigns, it is slightly above average. Not near the cleverness or polish of the really great ones, but above the really amateur ones that clutter most of the file storage space. It is not a keeper for me, but it wasn't a complete bore for a one-time excursion.

One of the 100 top maps

      Pros:
      - Hordes and SI spawn absolutely normally;
      - Decent weapons and supply all over the map;
      -Infinite horde, I love infinite hordes that doesn't spawn within us;
      - Big maps;
      -2 ways to follow through in map 2;

      Cons:
      -Some alarms still ringing and the horde stops;
      -You could have sorted the models a little. It feels like we are playing a mashup of No Mercy and Dead Air, but although it isn't so original its a good piece of work;
      -Sometimes a tank dies alone in the last chapter;

      Conclusion:
This is certainly one of the 100 top maps. Congratulations for make a nice job

Completed in expert realism with friends, so the review is based on the impression of the gameplay in expert realism mode.
The length is fine compared with other maps, the first map felt a bit short though. Adequate supplies and ammo piles. Challenging enough to be interesting. But one of the big problems is the hordes are too many and the horde interval is too short in many areas. In map 2 outside of the building, the barricades there, or inside the building after passing the finale-like event on map 3, the hordes just kept coming like every 30s to a min. On map 3 the hordes were terrible. It just kept coming especially at the last event. So I'm guessing that part we need to keep running and climb up to the safehouse? If so, the game instructor wasn't clear about that. If the game instructor would have informed us that we need to run back to the safehouse it'd be much better. Overall there's a lot of areas that are almost very similar to no mercy including the finale. Could use some improvements at parts.

      7.9

      Pros:

      Nice length and difficulty

      Intro

      Pretty nice poster

AI were fast and responsive as well as helpful, except for one instance mentioned in the cons.

Has custom dialogue from all of the radios

Pretty creative making the staircase with a forklift

Nice dispersal of weapons and ammo.

      No graphical glitches

      Nice level designs

Although the ladder leading down lead to some trouble with a tank and jockey, the spot where the finale takes place is very well set up. Camping spots, plenty of health and the heavy machine gun.

      Cons:

For some reason Rochelle and Ellis either fell off the map or inexplicably got stuck somewhere in the building before the finale. Eventually they teleported to the roof, but I thought I'd mention that.

Seems a bit like No Mercy

For a campaign that really seems to focus on the train aspect, there are few instances where you're near trains or on a train track. The on train track you could follow ended up at an invisible wall.

      Conclusion:

All in all this is a solid, fun campaign that has a moderate challenge. Some spots may give you a little trouble, but it's nothing major. I know several people have claimed this campaign crashes the game, but I never experienced a crash during the run through, so I don't know what might be causing it.

      Pros:

      - Intro + dialogue
      - Detailed
      - Decent amount of witches and tanks
      - Scattered supplies in each level
      - Smooth gameplay, no glitches
      - Plenty of places to camp in the finale
      - Rescue is clear

      Cons:

      - Can crash l4d2
      - Map 1 is too short
      - Needs more guiding arrows
      - Finale can be too challenging with two tanks
      - Exactly the same outro as No Mercy

      Conclusion:

A short, but decent campaign with no major bugs.

      Pros:

      + Typical L4D atmosphere.
      + Good level design.
      + Enough throwables lying around.
+ Good spread of supplies. and defibs.
      + Challenging.
      + Good AI navigation.
      + Contained creative content.

      Cons:

      - Partly copied from the No Mery campaign.
      - Unoptimized framerate.
      - Game keeps on crashing at least once per level.
      - First map took me 5 minutes to play.
      - Finale remembered me of the No Mercy campaign.
      - Textures in map 1 and 2 seemed to be stratched.
      - Sometimes blunt gameplay.

      Conclusion:

Wlell it's nice to see some classic campaigns like this one. The gameplay was nice, except for the annoying crashes. The first time the campaign shut down L4D2. I think it did have creative things in it, but sometimes the gameplay remembered me of the No Mercy campaign. All in all it was quite good though.

      Pros:

      - Great level design
      - Nice atmosphere
      - Very large levels

      Cons:

      - Too tough on expert for one player
      - Something is wrong with Nick AI, he doesn't pick up stuff
      - some places are too dark

      Conclusion:

Very nice campaign. Large levels give much oportunity in chosing the way. Full of zed's, full of shooting, full of gore, blood and action. Unfortunately it's too tough on expert level for only one player. Oh, and too many Witches ;)

      4.5

      Pros:

-a couple of areas look good
      -good ammount of throwables
      -quite a challenge

      Cons:

-alot of copy paste (not appreciated)
-HUGE AND I MEAN HUGE fps issues
-far too many SI and hordes
      -no custom content
      -bad nav work
      -confusing sometimes
      -an obvious l4d1 port

      Conclusion:

So ok first of all everyone please stop porting l4d1 maps omg!its not that there arent good or fun or challenging BUT l4d1 is or was a great game but l4d2 is really really different...its not the authors fault i mean mapping without chargers, spitters, jockeys, grenade launchers, boomer bile etc etc is something totally different.
No custom content what so ever was a shame and the copy pasted areas+the fps issues killed it for me.No i dont have a crappy pc what so ever.
This is abit of a shame tbh

ps=oh and with the authors experience over two games and two campaigns the optimisation and bot navigation is a disgrace.

      Pros:

      Alot of zombies
      Enough supplies
Maps are short, but long enough due to panic events
      "Adrenaline pumping" combats

      Cons:

      Too many zombies sometimes
      Many copy / paste areas
      Sometimes too open fighting areas
      Some confusing parts
      Too many witches

      Conclusion:

Not much to say. If you love challanges and zombie fights, lets download

      7.5

      Pros:

      Good urban combat.
Excellent details captures the apocalypse look and feel.
      Decent lighting.
Urban street level scaled appropriately (most streets and buildings are done too small).

      Cons:

Mismatch of fog color and sky color - tall buildings look awkward against the sky in level 2.
Elevator shaft ceiling clips into the top elevator housing and mechanics in level 2.
Nothing new in terms of visuals or gameplay.

      Conclusion:

This is on its way to be a solid urban campain. The layout is nice - a mix of tight and open. There are a few visual issues described in the "Cons" field. The detailing is excellent - it really seems like a world that had been lived in and destroyed. Great job so far - I am looking forward towards a more polished version.

      7.2

      Pros:

      + Things set up nicely.
      + Nice Details.
      + Nice Textures.
      + Nice Weather.
+ Has you feeling like you're really in the game.
      + Nice beginning.
      + Nice Finale.

      Cons:

      - Not much of a challenge.
      - Would be cool on Level 2 at the elevator part, more zombies spawn and keep spawning until you get in the elevator, would have more action like in No Mercy elevator part in the hospital.
      - Could get lost on Level 3.
      - A few glitches.
      - No defibrillators on the battlefield in the finale.

      Conclusion:

Played on Expert, not to much of a challenge. Okay map, not something I would play again, but something that I had fun with. I'd recommend playing it, not recommended to waste so much time on it. Once again, you can play this on Expert and not have a problem. IMO.

      7.5

      Pros:

The forklift staircase idea felt new and interesting.

      No game breaking issues.

      Consistent environments.

      Cons:

Very long intro. Annoying in versus.

Zombie hordes getting stuck behind un-destroyable doors.

The beginning feels like an labyrinth.

The alarm never stops ringing, although the zombies stop coming.

Alarmed cars not looking like they should do. Making them harder to detect. This is not optimal in such an already difficult campaign.

Infected having problems with the handrails, getting stuck behind them.

The AI bots can't handle the forklift event. They jump down the hole, killing themselves.

In the last saferoom each weapon only have 1 in weaponcount.

      Conclusion:

Very, very large map. Some parts of the map are really boring due to this. The street-part is really long and really flat. Making it a very boring part of the level.

I believe that the biggest problem is that I played this map the last day. And know I have a hard time remembering anything about the campaign except the notes I wrote while playing. The campaign doesn't hold many memorable parts.

All in all? A good map.

      *Love urban the environment
      *Endless zombie hordes
      *More than 2 maps
      *Great final,pretty classic

      Cons:

      *In some point,linear
*3th map its big,not fun if u get kill and restart
*As ussual some gitch when, you are at train watting for horde (they frezze if you jump on the crates)

      Conclusion:

Its a really fun,and hard to play campaing.I really like this. The only not so good thing its that some maps are kind of big,and if you get kill its not funny.
