>Great level design
>Maps are not boring to explore
>No bugs or glitches
>Bots can pickup medkits
>Everything is great until the finale
Cons are mostly from finale
>Not a big deal,no proper chapter titles and the add-on title is broken $DetourAhead_Title
>In finale the bots always left behind because they prefer to climb trucks and cross the river instead the road
>Sometimes hordes of CI spawns behind cars in finale
>There is only one medkit at the finale
>Too many SI in the finale sometimes there are 4 SI (two jockeys or two chargers or two smokers with 2 different SI)
I remember this one from several years ago, and after revisiting it with L4D2, all of the polish and pacing still holds up. The finale is a longer one and a bit tougher than the norm, in that you have to cover a lot of ground, but the items make it reasonable and it gives the campaign a different feel. Add this to your regular rotation if you haven't tried it yet - it is a gem.
Well built and adequately balanced, with possibly the exception of constant mini-hordes and periodically double Special spam. The finale is tough, but the supplies are plentiful. Those small Survivor conversation also add up to the atmosphere.
The maps were nicely designed,no errors, glitches or pink/black areas.
The atmosphere was good with the intro/outro.
There seemed to be a balanced supply of weapons/ammo/throwables on normal realism when I played.
Finale was interesting though the entire campaign was pretty challenging with lots of specials to fight with hordes.
Only cons were the bots seemed to get stuck at certain places, especially ladders. Aside from that I'll be keeping this in my addons folder.
Originally, well made environments
Perfect map design/detail
Perfect ammo/weapon/item balance
Perfect bot's NAV/AI
Horde waves of short delay
Air-crash and firework display scene
Bots get stuck at some areas and ladder of sewer
One of my favorite (solo) campaigns in L4D2. But unfortunately quite buggy, which was never fixed: weapons disappear when switching, bots don't help if you're down, don't shoot or fight back.
Sometimes unfair (Special Infected). The finale I overcome max. at "advanced", usually only on "normal" difficulty.
Not much I am willing to say about this, mainly because I'd rather people experience it for themselves.
What I'll say for now is if you've been holding out on downloading a campaign now's a good time!
This campaign takes me back to the good old days of the first Left 4 Dead when campaigns were long but also great.
You don't see a lot of that done well together any more, so don't miss out on this campaign!
the concept is nice
takes place during the night
House blows up
Way.......too dark. It's so dark it renders the flashlight useless.
Sewers are near impossible to navigate, they have so many dead ends it's ridiculous, and the overall darkness making the flashlight non-existent makes it harder yet.
It's a good design, but some form of direction or hints need to be added to the sewer section, and it should be made to where the flashlight is actually usable.
- navigation in this map is very smooth and easy
- amount of mobs are just fine
- environment is nice
- length of maps are good (not too long and not too short)
- like the finale; it's rather interesting especially the plane crash
- I don't think the word "cons" exist in this campaign
This campaign is pure perfection. I don't see any flaws at all here; everything is just right. Good work in making this campaign and hopefully the creator would continue to make campaigns as perfect as this. :)
