      Review

Lengthy campaign and masterfully done for a first attempt! Found literally no issues, campaign is well balanced (a little too much supplies on the finale, but appreciated) and really has the quality to be in the game! Your standard traditional L4D experience up until the finale, which ingeniously combines both the gauntlet and holdout scenarios together which is just great (works great too)! Very impressive and definitely a keeper, bravo!

Really nice campaign but bots had trouble to enter elevator and they also got stuck into water.
I jumped down to help them and died lol

      Excellent first campaign

      A very well designed campaign.

Good design and layout of levels with minimal confusion as to which direction to go. Decent amount of weapon spawns and ammo piles. No visual bugs, no bugs with bots getting stuck or not knowing where to go.

      Would definitely recommend.

good map, wish the map could have been better doe.

the first 3 parts were really good but the 4 and 5 were not as good but still had fun, the 5th map was is really Confusing, took me a while to find out you didn't have to go through sea to progress, over all i think the map was really good love the look of the sea at the end.

      • Troll review... for one title of the review in russian is some random swear like a badly behaved child, and then actual review says "there was a place to SPEND ammo" hate these troll reviewers artificially upping campaigns which could be improved if only ppl were HONEST

      Fun start, horrible finale

Chapters 1-4 were fun and explorative, pretty well balanced in everything and well done for a first campaign created

Finale on the other hand is HORRIBLY balanced, it could use far more ammo, the horde was just an ONSLAUGHT, so it could be chilled down a bit and try to play on harder difficulties to see, cuz not everyone plays easy or normal, If you improve the finale I would play it again and re-review it and hopefully review it better from the improvements

Also I would work on the nav mesh through the whole campaign better, enemies get stuck a lot

      • i dont mind gauntlets at all, i love parish, i love cold stream(and if rng is bad to u then ur gunna have a bad time) but the common spawns are normal for a valve gauntlet. In red tide, it is MASSIVE, and i sometimes do melee but sometimes its so laggy on server end (high ping) where melee gets u killed more, and also not everyone likes melee, some prefer always a mag, so a finale should be generalized and challeged so any playstyle can beat it. (more reply to daywalker) , for kurochama, they were going to show me the strats whenever they have time(from DMs)
      • There are a couple different types of finales in L4D and one is called a gauntlet. I've only created one gauntlet finale and went back and changed it because when a maps nav is working correctly it is going to seriously generate some zombies. Trying to play a gauntlet style finale on expert would definitely be a lot harder than usual. I watched someone play this the other nite on youtube and the horde is nonstop. You'd have to use a melee on any mode as Kurochama mentioned for sure. Good way to work on that virtue called patience I reckon LOL :)
      • Have you tried to use melee weapons on the finale? I think the finale wouldn't be difficult when using melee + sniper combo. I often did that combo back then when playing with my bigbro. & on the finale in this campaign, I ever tried with melee slashes all the way & though my team proceeded slowly with melee defense formation, things went fine till we reached the helicopter. Probably the difficulty is almost equal to "Cold Stream" campaign, but it's still doable with melee weapons.

      nice

It is a long and smooth map. Although there are not many custom elements, the map is of good quality.
And the finale was really well done. but it was a difficulty that didn't feel a sense of crisis except for the finale.
There is nothing very impressive or special, but I want to say that it is a solid map.

For the first-made campaign this is so nice!XD

This campaign is a little long and challenging, but it’s really fun.^^ Starting at the outskirt, and going through the apartments, river, mall, hospital and warehouses in the city.^^ Finale is the hard part, need to cross the beach and arrive the helicopter near the harbor to escape.^^ Although this is your first campaign but it's really great, only have few glich in the campaign.^^ Nice work!^^

      A well-made first custom campaign

Played this campaign 3 times, & finished in about one hour on average because I often explored areas for awhile to look for supplies & throwables while enjoying the walk. Though the author said that this was the first custom campaign made, this campaign is really polished well. Bot navigation is fine, & supplies are enough on every map. The highlights and the directions are clear. There are explorable rooms on every map.
      .
Map 1 has some familiar feelings like the combination of The Parish & The Passing in the beginning, but in night time. It's about exploration through back alleys & buildings. What needs to be cautious of is tank. Sometimes tank spawns inside the burning house. In my play 3 times, 1 of them had tank spawned near the fire on the lower floor, so it's a death trap because once survivors jumped on the lower floor, they couldn't climb up again.
      .
On map 2, survivors go through back alleys & river to get inside building. The challenging parts happen during walking through river & waiting for the elevator. It's quite dark at the river & zombies can come from anywhere. The holdout event during waiting for the elevator has some good spots to camp.
      .
Map 3 is about passing through the back alleys & streets. Though there are some explorable rooms, the paths are clear. The challenging moment happens during a holdout event in the car showroom. There are many good spots to defend. Even survivors can run back to the previous areas if they want. Well, probably this part needs to be edited, like, limiting how far survivors can go back. Maybe the garage doors suddenly close when pressing the switch to open the door in the car showroom, so that survivors have no choice but to defend in that room.
      .
Map 4 is like a break time to relax for awhile before facing the finale. It's only about walking through buildings & streets leading to the shore. Some areas take place in a hospital. Charger loves the narrow hallways in the hospital, so beware of charger's ambush. There are quite many explorable rooms to check for supplies.
      .
Then, the finale is kind of unique one. It's an escape finale, but with several holdout events. It's really challenging because zombies often spread to attack survivors at the shore. Sometimes the battle happens inside buildings at narrow hallways, so, melee weapons are recommended here. Every holdout event has one tank challenging in the end.
      .
In short, playing this custom campaign feels like playing the official campaigns (probably even better than official campaigns). The difficulty is measured well, so it's also playable in Expert mode, with bots or other players. It's one of great campaigns to add to collection.

No red scare in the red tide

      Pros:
      * Maps are detailed and functional.
      * Lighting and arrows guide the way forward.
      * Scripted dialogue.
      * Helpful UI hints.
      * A unique finale with a big, but not unfair challenge.

      Cons:
      * There's no melee weapon list. If this is empty, the game will use all melee weapons in random melee weapon spawns.
      * Could use an ammo pile during the mid-section stop of the finale, as well as grenades.

An average campaign with a finale that stands out, but little else.

      • If that's the case, it's not because the nav file wasn't functional, but because the author forgot to mark them for the zombie populations, or simply chose not to have any.

      • he might've misunderstood what you said about no uncommon infected

This comment was posted before the latest release.

      • I...never said there was any problem with the zombies not spawning on any particular map.

This comment was posted before the latest release.

      • I haven't played this but the biggest reason infected wouldn't spawn on a particular map would be nav related. Something may have broken the escape route. You should let the author know which map is acting up.

I place this campaign among the top 10 existing

In summary, this is one of the best maps made in the last few years, with a lot of details, maps with perfect size, I place this campaign among the top 10 existing.

The final map is incredible, epic.

One of the best maps I've played in a long time

The map is well made and it's a lot of fun to play. There's a lot of custom content in the map, which you don't see very often in workshop maps, like custom models and textures; this map has is all. There's a bit of story in the wall graffiti, which is always good when it comes to custom made maps. There are a few cons tho, in versus there are weirdly placed clips, so if your a hunter main, this map can be a living hell; but I don't think the developer made this map for versus. That's all of the cons I personally found in the map, nothing too major. I highly recommend you play this map!
