Pretty enjoyable campaign. My main gripe is I think personally the difficulty is a tad bit much, can be a slog with the bots, so I'd definitely recommend playing with buddies. A bit too many panic events/gauntlets for my taste I think they could've been toned down a bit, seriously it's a bit overkill how many there are hahaha. But other than that, a good length fairly nicely layed out campaign awaits you! Oh, and your chopper outro glitches out if you enter it too early :P
Very detailed and polished campaign, just what I expected from CastorJudo :) Overall I enjoyed the map.
Doesn't feel too repetetive, even though you are basically in the same environment for all maps.
-Some bugs here and there with navigation, bots get stuck in some places
-Campaign could be a little bit longer
-Too many events, but I guess the length of the campaign has to do with this?
-Maps can be quite harsh to play with bots, unless you play on low difficulty. The bots really struggle during the water walk and in the explosive room. I recommend playing with friends here.
-In the finale map, you can simply avoid fighting anything if you just collect all gas cans and drop them in front of the generator. Then u can just start the engine and fill em up with very little to no fight at all and run away to the helipad ^^
Interesting idea, pretty nice realization. Some maps are a bit confusing, and a certain moment is fatal with bots who can't hold their fire. Even worse, these barrels can be shot through the wall when you're fighting off Infected, firing in all directions. One wrong shot and half the map blows up, even through the walls you get severely damaged. The same gauntlet also lacks rescue closets before it. Luckily, the finale is almost a breather level after the previous marathon.
A great idea to have the survivors on a ship in a storm.
Plenty of supplies,it felt balanced.
The events were spaced out so it didn't feel like there was too many run to the saferoom events all the time, which feels tedious.
The hordes were numerous but it wasn't too much of a problem.
No glitches/bugs though the bots did have problems trying to navigate the area where you need to pass through the water section. Luckily there were defribs nearby so I could revive them asap.
I liked the finale,it wasn't too hard & it was pretty simple to kite the Tank around. Though the bots did sometimes get stuck on ladders.
This was fun & I'm keeping it in my addons folder.
- Map layout
- Events were well spread out and had adequate difficulty
- Water part
- Directional arrows / easy to follow
- Decent amount of supplies, not too much nor too little
- Finale! Finally, a decent gas can finale, cans were well spaced as well as the generator and the rescue vehicle was easily spotted! Kudos to this dev from 2010 who got it right!
- Bots die in the short water walk (however i still enjoyed this idea)
Excellent 4 maps. Polished, can't complain. Definitely worth the play.
A very fun and challenging (if used with plugins) campaign. No bugs/glitches encountered. Really fun to be played with friends also sometimes with bots in Expert. In return, I posted some videos and they all are played with bots in Expert.
it was a very fun map. I like how its a different setting than most maps. I would've given it 5 stars except for a few issues:
1. Sometimes there would be random hordes, which is fine but they were too massive and it delayed progression too much.
2.The underwater part was a good idea however the bots were dumb and drowned trying to help each other
3. Too many crescendo events with no supplies
4. Maybe some better Tank placement (Nick got knocked off the ship within the first few minutes by the Tank.)
It was a pretty good map despite those things. IT was mostly just me and Nick throughout the campaign because Coach and Rochelle kept getting killed. Needs a few adjustments but I still recommend this map. :)
-Unique and Great looking design
-Too many hordes
-Map 2 is very poorly structured, the bots tend to die most of the time.
-Three events and a tank on Map 2
-Annoyingly placed explosive barrels
-No ammo pile on finale
-Finale is stupidly hard because of the weird layout and ladders
Map 1 and 3 made this campaign look promising, but then I started to lose hope when we played Map 2, as I had to restart about 5 times due to the nonstop hordes and events. This campaign could use some difficulty tweaks.
-Unique and detailed maps
-Trigger events made sense
-Poor map layout and gameplay for level 2 (three crescendo events and a tank battle)
-Bad witch and tank spawns in level 2 as well
-Finale can be bugged and not start, letting you collect all the cans first and winning without hordes
Second map was terrible in a gameplay sense. Finale could be bugged, but was alright otherwise.
Original interesting setting - oil rig.
Nice details, no major game-play flaws.
Keeps you interested.
Level 2 - underwater passage can delay & kill AI bots.
Level 3 - Explosive Barrels room almost impossible to navigate with bots on single player.
Level 4 - without gas-can (pill slot) pick-ups very tedious and extremely difficult.
A fun campaign - if not for the noted "cons" it would be also very playable on single player. Probably meant for co-op play as stated. If you don't have a "gas can pick-up" mod that shifts the gas cans to the pills slot (and allows you still to fight) the finale is hard and tedious; subtract 2 from this rating if that is the case. Also, if the level 3 explosive barrels room were less impossible to traverse on single player with bots I would add 2 points to this rating. Overall fun, but flawed from a single player point of view.
-Variation in level designs provides for unique gameplay
-Hordes seem ENDLESS
-The bots tend to die on the underwater part on the 2nd level, one goes down, they all go down trying to save each other
-Final map is bugged, if you get the cans before starting, it puts the hordes/tanks in an endless cycle
-Some fps drops on 3rd map
Fun campaign but the amount of zombies seems just RIDICULOUS in some situations. The random car in the first level is a little pet peeve of mine just due to the fact that it's...there but that's just my opinion. The underwater part is a bit too challenging due to the fact that it's so easy to get stuck down there and even easier for the bots. And that major bug at the end of the campaign just tends to upset it as well.
- Excellent, unique, original, professional grade levels.
- HARD finale!
- Not enough level 2 weapons after the first map until the last one.
- Bots cannot follow you in some areas. This makes the finale almost impossible on single player as they don't go on certain ladders.
VERY very impressive. A few navigation bug fixes for the bots and a couple of lvl 2 weapons in the second and third saferoom would raise the score even higher. Still highly recommended as it is.
======= In general =======
+ A lot of enemies.
+ Unique finale.
+ Good amount of throwables.
+ Enough medkits and other supplies.
+ Campaign set on an oil platform.
======= Map 2 =======
- AI mates have problems rescuing from Chargers pummeling you in small areas.
======= Map 3 =======
- Tank event placed during the huge horde event-alarm.
======= Miscellaneous ======
- AI navigation problems, sometimes.
- Finale was a lot longer than the previous maps.
- No survivor dialogues.
Enemy-packed campaign to kick your ass thorugh the campaign. For my taste there's been too much ass kicking. L4D1 version recommendable, this one as well.
- Too many horde
- When the lift scene 1 bot everytime remain lower floor
- Lot of time bots are idiot, cant help me because cant find the way, but i am near about 2m (1 or 2 wall)
- When we need run under the water bots dies! every time if i not enaught quick to help them
It's nice, but it's makes me angry, because of the Cons.
