Short campaign with a challenging finale rescue.

This campaign is short but really fun.^^ However, the rescue point in finale is really difficult. Players must defend against zombies and tanks in a limited space, and may also encounter tank on the way to the boat. So if players have collected throwables before, especially molotovs and bile jars, try to keep them until the rescue point to use them.^^ Overall this campaign is really nice, level design is very well and has no glitches, really recommended to play with friends.^^

Good short campaign, with a challenging finale

Checked campaigns based on alphabet, & found this old campaign, & I took about 35 minutes to finish. Actually till the map 2, it's playable. The real hell is the finale. I'll explain later.
      .
In overview, the campaign is short but fun. Bot navigation is fine. Supplies are good, but somehow there's no vomitjar during my play twice. The paths are clear along with the directions, except the finale (I'll give some clues about the finale later below).
      .
Map 1 is about exploring the city. There are some explorable areas & rooms to check. However, there's no primary weapon in the beginning, so survivors have to explore some rooms first until they find a mounted minigun. The primary weapons are around that area.
      .
On map 2, survivors explore the areas around power plants & generators. Some areas are explorable, & there are some alternative routes leading to the same paths. During waiting for the elevator, there are some good spots to camp, & one of them is a one-way path with covered roof & some boxes at the dead end that's good to defend from almost all special infected except Smoker from the ground.
      .
Then, the finale is a hard holdout finale. Actually, it wouldn't be that hard if the holdout finale mechanisms were normal. The area is cramped with some forklifts & other tank's throwing toys around, so just beware of tank when he's walking around those throwing toys. Actually the previous areas near the water are still accessible, so survivors can also camp there or run somewhere farther during the finale event. Some people may be confused about where the rescue unit is or where to go there. The problem is, this holdout finale is longer than usual, like, after the 2nd wave of tank ends, the rescue music is played but the rescue route is still closed for like more than 30 seconds, & because of that, survivors will face like two more tanks along with the horde & special infected. The indication of when the route will be opened is the generator. Once the generator is operating & making a sound, the rescue path will be opened. Make sure to take a look at the generator cables, as they will lead to where the rescue path is. There will be a notification about the rescue unit arrived, so before that happens (like after killing 4-5 tanks in total), try to defend somewhere safe.
      .
In short, although this campaign is playable, the finale gives extra challenges. Some strategies may work as long as survivors can secure. It's good for those who love more challenge on the finale. I'll keep this to play again later.

Great campaign! However, there were missing textures and objects on the finale (Trees by the look of it) Other than that loved it! Plenty of supplies, nice map design, no glitches/bugs and no botnav errors. Nice work!

good old fashioned quality long campaign!

Not much I am willing to say about this, mainly because I'd rather people experience it for themselves.
What I'll say for now is if you've been holding out on downloading a campaign now's a good time!
This campaign takes me back to the good old days of the first Left 4 Dead when campaigns were long but also great.
You don't see a lot of that done well together any more, so don't miss out on this campaign!

      6.5

      Pros:

      -Good Layout and Design
      -The right amount of infected
      -Good item placement

      Cons:

-All the map transitions crash the game
-The finale had some missing models and textures
      -A bit too short

      Conclusion:

I wish this campaign was a bit longer, and you should really fix those map transition crashes. As they were getting pretty annoying.
      • Hello, I am no long supporting this campaign as my life course has changed drastically and I no longer play L4D2; however, there were no crashes or missing models/textures when this campaign was released, so unless a new update broke it for some reason, it should work fine. I would try reinstalling it, and making sure you verify your game's file integrity because those things should not be happening unless Valve made sweeping structural changes.

      Nice layout
      Good scenery
      Bots are great
      Supplies are placed well
      No bugs/glitches found

      Cons:

Tough to find a camping spot for finale

      Conclusion:

      Nice map

      8.1

      Pros:

      + Decent Poster Design
      + Different routes
+ Clever spots designed to defend

      Cons:

      - No intro
      - No dialogue
      - Sometimes laggy
      - Rescue hard to find
      - Lack of supplies in chapter 2

      Conclusion:

A decent, delicate, clever campaign. The maps have the details no less than official ones, but it does need more optimizing in performance. As for what happens in the campaign, not much. Quite suitable for after lunch pastimes.
      Mapping: 9.5
      Event: 6
      Experience: 9
      Total: 8.1

BTW the ratings are really accurate

      5

      Pros:

      No bugs
      Looks very good
L4D1 Survivors (most of campaigns I've recently downloaded have new Survivors)
      Decent amount of weapons
      No nav errors
      Custom graffiti

      Cons:

      Boring
Small, short and still I was getting lost through whole campaign (maybe a little more than one arrow per map?)
Some pointing to docks would be very useful (of course I went to totally opposite direction and failed after pretty easy finale, but it's hard to remember one sign when you're limping and trying to escape from Tank)
Unless you don't have to restart anything, there shouldn't be any smoke from generators - after seeing smoke near them and seeing sign about manually restarting generators if they fail I thought it'll be Crash Course-like finale = even more time lost during 5th wave
      No dialogues
No defibs, lasers, ammo upgrades, medkits, throwables
Bad Tanks spawn in finale (just loved to sit on ammo pile)

      Conclusion:

Disappointed. It is overall not bad campaign, but it doesn't have anything distinctive (besides nice look of the maps)

      Pros:

      Superb map design and environment
Great NAV for bots and just the right touch of ambiance and details in all maps
Good amount of health packs, meds, weapons and ammo.
Fair amount of infected and special infected.
      Good amount of events.
      No glitches.

      Cons:

Frame drops in 1st map need tweaking

      Conclusion:

It has plenty to shoot and the environment was awesome for good times and replays, BTW if you getting low ratings it probably guys who make shit maps that's hating on you, with multi accounts trying to lower your wonderful work score total..

      Pros:

      Decent gameplay
      Has some good ideas
Nice detail in the first map

      Cons:

Bots aren't cooperative in map 2
Nothing notable or spectacular about the design
      Bad map design and layout
      Finale is unbalanced

      Conclusion:

A campaign that unfortunately has nothing truly notable about it. It doesn't stand out in the crowded space of campaigns and maps.

      Pros:

      Original environments and paths.
Short but not too short "shorty" campaign.
Good amount of healthpacks, meds, weapons and ammo.
Fair amount of infected and special infected.
      Good amount of events.
      No glitches.

      Cons:

      No silhouettes.
      No AK47s.
No machetes, golf clubs or swords.
A few events have too many hordes, especially at the end.
Each map could be a tad bit longer.

      Conclusion:

A great shorty. It has plenty to shoot at, events up the ying-yang and looks and works great!

      Nice job!

      8.5

      Pros:

Beautiful textures and details in street on map 1 but result in low fps for me (gtx280). I'll try maybe with effect on low ...
Nice placement for ammo and weapons
Nice environement (except maybe the final place seems a little empty).
Absolutely No problems with bots navigation, it's very pleasant.
      Good maps length.

      Cons:

the little laggy in street (maybe just me)
      No respawn place
      The final place (see pros)

      Conclusion:

A short but very good campaign that i really enjoyed playing (even with bots), some originals and nice environement.
I'll surely play that one many time.
      Good work !

      Pros:

      - map 1,2 and 3 were all professional created
      - weapons, supplies and ammo were generous
      - totally awesome development for such a short campaign only wish there were a few more maps..
      - ambiance was on point..
      - bots and nav were almost perfect..

      Cons:

      - no respawn spot or defibrillator after Rochelle got killed by Tank
      - 2nd play thru i noticed lag, lots of it

      Conclusion:

This one has a great replay value, I always like when i start off with just a pistol and have to explore to find a second one or a gun.. this one was a nearly perfect game.. not glitches or anything really bad to say gonna play again tonight with some buddies.. please add some re spawn rooms or defibrillator

      8.5

      Pros:

      - Great overall map design, spawn area of map 1 is the most realistic apartment furnishing I've seen in a custom campaign

      - LOTS of divergent path

      - A few memorable moments

      Cons:

      - Short

      - *BUG* If you jump on the dead guy sitting behind the desk in the building's lobby of map 1, you can get stuck there. I have to restart the campaign.

      Conclusion:

Terrific little campaign. Astounding first effort.
