Description
A: "If a melee can snipe jockey in the head from afar, I think it would be fun..." B: "Dude... This is a normal zombie game in a normal world, not in superhero or murim world..." A: "Let's just ruin the normal zombie world then, as long as it's fun. Hehehe..." Well, that's just part of debates inside my head when trying to make this mod. At first I had no idea at all. But because I read some korean & chinese comics about murim world, suddenly I got a crazy idea. After thinking for some time about whether to make or not, in the end my crazy idea won over the normal idea. So, about this mod, this allows survivors to snipe by using melee (WHAT?!!). Yeah, sniping with melee, hehehe... Let's put the normal logic aside, & go with logic about zombie apocalypse in superhero or modern murim world, lol... :D . Normally, you can't aim with melee, but with this mod, you can. You can aim by pressing Aim/ Scope button, or by holding RELOAD button & then attack with melee. When aiming, you can use melee's sharpshooting ability. Well, probably this is a mini version of my Celestial Melee Weapons mod, as this one is more balanced than "Celestial Melee Weapons" because you can adjust the damage as well as the sharpshooting effects. There are only 2 features available in "melee sharpshooting.txt" cfg file: 1. Melee Sharpshooting Mode: This controls the mode of melee sharpshooting, from the normal one, one that calls forth lightning (imagine when you become a Mini Thor), to the critical mode that gives certain low chance to deal instant-kill or huge damage. Each mode is followed with shooting effects (like blood, fire, lightning, shockwave etc) when successfully hitting a zombie. List of modes with short explanations:Normal Mode: Normal mode is when
value is set to 0 or 0.5. Each successful
sharpshooting in crosshair will cause
blood & little spark effects on targeted
zombie. The value with decimals (0.5)
affects AOE damage, like value no. 0
only hits single target, while 0.5 hits a
target & any zombies nearby.
Ignition Mode: It's on value no. 1 & 1.5.
When hit, the target will be burned with
a small fire effect.
Shockwave Mode: It's on value no. 2 &
2.5. When hit, a shockwave will be
triggered & the target will stumble.
Lightning Mode: Mini Thor mode, on
value no. 3 & 3.5. When struck by
lightning, the target gets burned, & for
SI & tank, they will stumble.
Critical Mode: It's on value no. 4 & 4.5.
It's the same as value no. 1, with the
addition of critical feature. Each hit
gives critical chance as much as 30%
on common infected, 20 on SI, 10% on
tank & witch. When critical is triggered,
a blood explosion (like boomer's
death) will be called & all zombies
except tank will instantly die, no
matter how much their health is (even
they die with 1 million of health). For
tank, he will stumble & at the same
time take damage as much as 50% of
his current health, no matter how
much his health is.
2. Sharpshooting Damage: How much damage is for each melee sharpshooting attack. Min= 1, max= no limit. 3. Gore Mode: When enabled, common infected killed with melee sharpshooting will have parts of their body dismembered. Well, have fun & enjoy your time in sniping zombies with melee for fun...
