Really outstanding campaign with many custom weapons and NPCs.^^
This is also one of my favorite campaign.^^ After the train stopped at the broken bridge, survivors must get through the military laboratory, and find the way to turn the train tracks and get on the train. This campaign is not only very fun and interesting, but also has a lot of custom weapons and NPCs in the each chapters. Such as players can find Dr. Morloc, also as the author of this campaign, in the starting safe house of chapter 2. And in chapter 4 and finale, there are NPCs to tell players to shut the door to prevent the zombies to get in, and tell players the methods about how to get on the train.^^ In addition, player can also find the broken arms and legs, and broken rubble and steel as the melee weapons.XD I must say this is one of the perfect custom campaign of Left 4 Dead 2.^^ Nice work!XD
- Very detailed map.
- cool scenery and setting. world feels lives in.
- nice textures
- npc and voice acting
- balance infected spawn, for the first three of the maps.
- nice use of voice lines
- too many construction uncommon
- chapter 4 and a few small areas love dropping infected on your head, which is never fun.
- item spawning on the last two chapters are not so good.
- finale is glitched. idk how we even managed to finish it. everyone else died a tank spawn and then i was able to access the train. really weird.
Note, I didn't experience the train glitch at the end.
Custom Melee Weapons (Concrete Slab and Limbs)
Only throwable in Finale was the bile jar
Maps seem a bit repetitive (especially Map 4)
Summary: Not one of my favorites but It's a good campaign
Good map until the end.
you can't get on the train.
you get knocked back every time to try to board.
I tried twice and had to no clip both times to get into the boxcar.
by melro324 (a few posts down) seems to have the same issue.
Look at the elevator on coald blood map 03. I learned a while back that you need to put a kill trigger on the bottom of the (elevator - train) that is parented to the elevator / train so that anything that gets under it is crushed. Set it for about 5000 pts. that way it even kills a tank. Problem solved.
the platform should completely lower, then you can get into the train. Just sometimes zombies and various props get under the platform and do not let it fall, and because of this you can not get into the train.
The map itself was pretty good. And i should rate it for 5 stars but that bug at the finale gets me to rage LUL. Somehow I and the bots cant enter the train because of a force field thats telling me to F*** OFF! Well, all is good but yeah. Good job i guess.
Incorrect. Ping issues can arise from poor optimization which is common on many custom campaigns that have allot of crap going on at once. This is apparent in 2019 II I believe. The optimization was poor. I was hosting a Local server ffs.
Great Nav Points
Great Ammo & Gun Drops
Perfect Size Levels
The List Goes On
None That I Noticed
I love this map you did fantastic work loved the custom voicing and scripting you did even though trains for finales have been done 100x over this was a new way and how you did it was just great and really fun overall just great map one I don't plan on uninstalling.
Not much I am willing to say about this, mainly because I'd rather people experience it for themselves.
What I'll say for now is if you've been holding out on downloading a campaign now's a good time!
This campaign takes me back to the good old days of the first Left 4 Dead when campaigns were long but also great.
You don't see a lot of that done well together any more, so don't miss out on this campaign!
TONS of custom content
Custom audio + Models and animation
Good placement of items (Health kits, Ammo, etc...)
Level design is lackluster
Custom horde segments can sometimes be atrocious
Christ the finale...
This campaign is something I would call 'Less than Ethereal'. It provides so much content but it's delivery is just so poor. This campaign can be brutal when played on Advanced, Normal mode as well. Level design during some maps will leave you questioning where you're supposed to go next. The campaign does make up for it's extraordinary amount of custom content; such as custom melee weapons, audio files, finale sequence, and even models and animations. The finale is it's own subject. It starts off as your everyday "activate something, kill hordes, and escape" routine, which would've been a better way to do a finale in this case. Half-way through, however, it changes to you finding gas canisters. Now finding these canisters we're truly a pain since the finale area is so covered with vegetation and such, you'll be scavenging for these gas canisters for a while. Overall, this campaign could have been better if the levels we're designed better and the custom horde segments and finale we're fixed. It is definitely worth picking up, but ONLY if you're going to be playing with friends.
+ Superb Amount of Health Kits and Supplies
+ L4D1 characters
+ Laser sights available
+ Custom Melee Weapons( love that ZB leg)
- Bots took too long to help incapaciated ally
- Bots are stupid at times, getting stuck
- Lots of Splitters and Chargers more than other special infected.
- Troublesome Finale
Not a bad map actually but finale wise the part where you need to get the fuel canister is too far apart from each other. Other than that I got no problem at all, its worth to go for it, be it advanced or Expert mode I highly recommend but it is still best to play with your friends instead of bots :)
Funny, as I don't control AI spawning.. maybe you were unlucky with the director.
As for the canisters being too far apart.. I have to disagree.. they are in the same room and felt if anything too close together :)
Nice concept and good mapping quality.
Well balanced hordes.
Well supply of ammo and medkits.
All assault rifles available.
Laser sights available.
Customized melee weapons (Zombie leg, and piece of concrete)
Total absence of the M50 machine gun.
Total absence of incendiary and explosive rounds.
Special infected are quite not good balanced as there are more spitters and pummelers, than witches (almost none), and few smokers.
Ally bots play pretty stupid in some parts.
The last part where fuel cannisters have to be placed in order to allow escape are pretty problematic, because if you pass near to one you have previously set in place it may get stuck and you have to restart the finale.
I think we have a nice campaign, almost valve quality in mapping terms, the concept as i said in pro-cons part is pretty neat and well done, also the custom melee weapons are a very nice and original touch, the few things i didn't like were those minor glitches regarding the ally bots, and with those fuel cannisters, besides that i think this campaign offers a great entertainment value, as is very fun to play and OK to pass in normal skill. So give it a try!!
